Does anyone that has been recently know if they replaced the swings at the play area? The last update I saw was someone saying they removed them? Random question, but my kids love to swing! We'll be there a week from today! :yay:

Can't help on the swings but have to say that your threads and pictures from past trips are pretty cool. Enjoy this upcoming one too.

Have an ACCESSIBLE ROOM question...

So, some of my family is going to Coronado soon and need a Wheel Chair Accessible room... Knowing I know a lot about Disney and belong to places like this to ask they wanted me to ask - when they booked the room it said "1 king bed, 1 queen bed" but they are confused because all of the pictures and information we have found online suggest it is only 1 King bed.

They booked using the official Disney site, I myself have seen it on the booking where it says it. Just curious if I can help them out with an answer, because they do in fact need 2 separate beds (4 people).

Thanks!

There weren't any swings at the play area when we were there over Christmas.

Boo! I wonder why they removed them. Oh well, I'm sure my kids will love playing in the sand :thumbsup2

Thanks so much! Not doing a TR this time around though :guilty:

Hi,
Still trying to find the following infos:

1. How comfy are the pull out sofas??

2. Locations... I read that casitas 1 and 3 have these.. but have also read that there is one or two in Cabanas??

Wouldnt cabanas be best location to the dig site AND lobby? are these standard juniour suites or special business class?

also which is better casitas 1 or 3?? we will be doing alot of pool time.

thx!

OK there are two reasons for this post. First I'm a mere 48 hours away from being in Florida, and even though the Colts lost yesterday, I'm simply in a good mood and getting excited. No one better than Dis'ers to share the joy with. :cool1:

Here's the tip: We booked two rooms at CSR but under different reservations. I put a call into CSR to request that the two rooms at least be near each other. The CM was helpful, and friendly and took note of my request. It's better to do this a few days out rather than when you get to the Resort. There's no facility for this type of request on the on-line check in form. Numbers for the resort are: Phone: 407-939-1000 Fax: 407-939-1001. Some people recommend a fax rather than a phone call.

I'll let y'all know how this goes. Our last trip to WDW was at POR and we did the on-line check in. Low and behold, our room was ready for us when we arrived in the morning. I'm not expecting this but that would be kinda cool.

I was wondering if there is a post office or some way to ship our souvenirs? As we will not be heading home after our stay in WDW. We wont have much room in our bags so packing them in our suitcases is a last resort type of thing. TIA!!!

I think you can arrange to have your souvenirs shipped from the gift shop. You can also have your souvenirs sent to the gift shop from any theme park but they recommend at least 24 hours for pick up.

The swings were gone in August of 2014, when we were there. With the PP, I imagine they won't be reappearing any time soon.

Hi there -
Considering a stay at CSR the week after Thanksgiving this year. Can anyone confirm that the rooms in Cabanas 9B have connecting doors (at least some of them)? We are a family of six and typically book our two rooms connecting. We enjoy the 'premier' or 'club' level sections of hotels when we travel and make use of the offerings, and this seems like the best bet if they do indeed have connecting rooms!

Thank you!

Both BC rooms we've stayed in had a connecting room. We were on the back side both times.

Can you tell me if any of the quiet pools are shallow or more shallow than the others?

I can't speak for all of them, but the quiet pool at the Cabanas was about 5' with no discernible shallow or deep ends. There was a side that was shallower, like 3'5" or something like that. But basically consistent all the way around.

From the looks of the one at the Casitas, it was kinda the same.

^Hello, fellow Hoosier! that was such a bad loss, wasn't it?

We are arriving late at night - would you all suggest online check-in, or NOT doing online check-in? We hope to arrive between 10-11 pm. We will be driving from Pensacola after a day at the Naval Air Museum. It closes at 5, so that will be the latest we hit the road, but WDW is still an estimated 6.5-7 hours from there, according to Google Maps. We will probably try to steal away at 2-3, but not sure if we'll be able to make ourselves - we all love naval aircraft... especially WWII era. And we still have to stop for dinner.

So, I guess I'm unsure that with such a late arrival, if we don't do on-line check in, might we get stuck with a room that's in a less than desirable location? If we do online check-in, can I request a room area? (say, specific buildings?)

TIA!

On line check-in choices are quite limited. You can choose cabanas or ranchos, a first floor, and near a bus stop. You can't write in any requests. For that, I would call ahead and put in a request.

I've seen different info about bus transportation to theme parks @ CSR and wanted to double check. Do the buses stop at the 2nd or 4th bus stop first?

To the Theme parks it stops at 2 first and for DTD it stops at 1 first.

Just confirming here - I saw on page 94 that the Pepper Market is now set up like the other moderate food courts. Is this still the case where we can find our own seat, fill our own drinks and no added gratuity?

Different question - if I booked a jr suite can I request the one in 9b? Is there another in the cabanas? The food court set up was a deterrent to me but if it's what we're used to, then the lounge isn't as big of a deal, though cabanas still seem like an awesome option.

TIA :-)
