Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

Quick question..
We have booked ME to and from the airport. What do we do about using it to go back to the airport to go home? Will they give us a time when we check in? Or will we have to go to the front desk closer to the time of leaving to sort it our!

I call and check in a day or so before just to be sure they have us on the list
They put a letter under your door with details and pick up time, usually 3 hrs before. Your flight
You goto the me desk at that time and away we go as Peter Pan would say

If you have a really early flight, you'll have to call to get it or stop by concierge the day before because the resort may not get to your room before you have to depart.

Our flight leaves at 11.20am.. But we would need to leave 4 hours prior, so 7.20. Does that count?

Hi, we are going to be staying in a preferred location room at Coronado Springs next month. I am wondering if I should request to not be in Casitas 1, to avoid conventioneers. Or are there so many suites in that building that we probably won't be placed there?

Leaving in 9 Days for CSR soo excited!!! Just booked a standard room is there any benefit to online check in or should we just check in the normal way?

Thanks!

Hi all! I apologize in advance if this is the wrong thread to ask this. We have a reservation at Coronado springs sep 19-25. We are driving down on the 19th and were originally going to get a cheap hotel and check in to csr on the 20th. We thought better of it and added the 19th so we can just go straight there.

We won't arrive until around midnight or maybe even 1 or 2 am. Since it will technically be the 20th that we are checking in, should I call them and have a note on our reservation about how late we will be? Or will online check in take care of that? I also have no idea what area of the resort to request if anyone has suggestions. It will be me, my husband and two kids ages 7 and 11.

I haven't been to Disney since 2002 so a lot has changed. I'm super excited about the trip!

We have done both.

I sort of like checking in like normal because then you interact a little more with CM's and it gives me that initial "welcoming" feel you get when checking in - that realization that we're finally there. It's also handy if you called ahead and made any requests, if they're not met already, you can ask them to see if they can help.

I have had no problem with either way.

If you do online checkin there will be a place for you to enter your anticipated arrival time.

Forgive me for being lazy and not looking too far back in the thread :rolleyes1 :flower3:, but I'll be at CSR at the end of the month (check-in the 31st), and I want to request to be near a bus stop but I'm not sure when to make the request. Should I do that now? Or, should I wait until about a week out, and then call? TIA :goodvibes

I know in the past, requesting to be near transportation was an option during online check in. But if not, then I would send a fax about 10 days before you arrive.

I just booked a business class room for presidents' weekend. After booking, I looked at the bus route, and I realized we will be the 2nd to last pick up. I have visions now of not being able to get on a bus if it's crowded. Should I switch over to the preferred location instead?

Poohsmommi,
I don't think you made a mistake. We loved business class. If you are going at a busy time just walk backwards to bus stop 4 and you will be the first to be picked up. Its only a bit further than bus stop 1 (check the map on page 1). We would do this at rope drop. Have a great time! :goodvibes

Whew! Ok, thanks!

I wouldn't worry to much about what bus stop you are at. We have only stayed at CSR once, but that entire week (April 2013) we never ever encountered a full bus. Most times we made roped rope then headed back to the resort at 1pm then went back out around 4:30.
We were right at the Ranchos bus stop. I loved the Ranchos section and the transportation so much at this resort it was the deciding factor for us this year as we will be staying here again in October.
We had the option at getting a discount at POR but decided it wasn't worth it. My mom is also coming with us and only plans to go to the parks 3 days. She loves to just hang out at the pool all day with a book. You can also get food at the pool bar which you can't get at the other mods so that was a big feature for her.

Enjoy your stay, we love CSR

Just to clarify Bus stop 4 behind the Cabanas is the 2nd to the last to be picked up. Bus stop 1 in front of El Centro is last

We used Bus Stop 4 last week and never missed a bus due to crowds. DH and DS stood on a couple of trips, but there was only one situation where they really packed em in at the last stop. Even with that, I don't think anyone was left behind.

My hubby and I just booked a 5 night stay at CSR in early December for my 30th birthday :cool1:. We have been to Disney only one time for our honeymoon in June, 2009 and we stayed at AKL at that time. We are really hoping that we won't miss staying at a deluxe and will enjoy this vacation just as much! CSR certainly looks beautiful and I've read lots of great things on this board. Would love to hear positive experiences going from deluxe to CSR! :)

Booked a preferred room. Will I automatically be never a bus stop or should I request a particular building. We want a near bus stop ( hopefully 1st pickup/ drop off) and to be near gift shop. We don't care about pool closeness.

Does anyone know of a site or list of the conventions taking place at CSR? They had zero availability when I was searching for a room. I'm assuming a large group was booked for the dates I searched.
