The first two days I was not impressed with the bus service to Magic Kingdom. However when we have went to Epcot, HS and AK the bus service has been exceptional!

We did a split stay several weeks ago: CSR & AKL. Bus service to/from MK was not good at either resort. :confused3

Once you post on a thread, it automatically subscribes you. You do not have to post, you can go to "thread tools" and click on subscribe. But, I often see people post "subscribing!" on a thread. I assume this is easier than using the thread tools? Lots to learn on here!!

Thank you! I always just subscribe and never announce that I'm subscribing. I wasn't sure if people could see what I've subscribed to and think I was spying or something. LOL

So looking at the map I'm thinking either 7b or 8a would be where I'd like to be...we just have a regular room...would I be able to be in either of those buildings? 9b looks like a decent area too.

I'm looking to be close to the Dig Site...we don't mind walking to the food court.

Yes, 7B and 8A are the closest buildings to the Digsite. 8A is favorite amongst many posters here. 9B is the Business Class rooms so you would have to book that category. :thumbsup2

How does 8b rank??
In my unscientific research 8b seemed to be closer the the main building, ie food but also close to bus/dig
I will have 6 kids from 1-10 yrs old and wante'd the best for bus/pools/food

I haven't read the whole thread, so please forgive me if it's been discussed. I see that CSR has different options for birthday cakes than the other resorts. Has anyone had a CSR cake? I'm deciding between the strawberry shortcake or Oreo birthday cakes or I might just go with a standard Mickey head cake from a restaurant. I would love to see pictures of any of the CSR cakes but would like to at least know what you thought of them. I read through some of the cake chatter thread but those were mostly custom cakes & spending $100+ on a cake for the 4 of us doesn't appeal to me. Thanks in advance!

8B is a great location as well. 8A is technically closer to the Digsite, which is what the other poster wanted. IMO you can't go wrong with a room anywhere in the Cabanas.

Sorry I can't help with that one! :)

I would gamble on the Oreo cake myself, but just a guess. Good luck! :thumbsup2

I've searched but can't find the answer to this question...does Siestas pool bar offer any snacks using a dining plan credit? I've looked at photos of the menu but don't see the DDP logo next to any of the items, even those that seem like they may be considered a snack. I'm pretty sure they take credits for quick service meals (I think I saw that on the DDP brochure) but I'm wondering if the kids could get anything for a snack in the afternoons? Fruit? Fries? Smoothies?

:confused3

Thank you! And when do you ask for specific locations? When you check in? Or should I have done that when I booked?

Most people call in and ask to have a room request noted on their reservation. If the room they offer you when checking in doesn't reflect your request, politely ask if your room request is noted on your reservation and if there if it would be possible to honor it.

Washers and dyers are 2.00 a load. Machines take quarters. I found the dryer real hot and didn't need to do extra time. It ran for about an hour.

Will you bring a pop up toaster? We brought fans and extension cords with us.One on the nightstand and the other we put on a cooler next to the bed by the door.

We only ate breakfast one time at pepper mill since we ate in the BC lounge. Breakfast was roughly 10.00 for a meal. My husband and daughter split a large omelet with home fries.

Sorry, but I was just told that all laundry is debit card swipe? Price is correct.
:confused3

So I booked through a TA and I'm guessing it's too late. Oh well, we will be happy with whatever we get.

Maybe it changed in the past two months. I was there mid April and did laundry. It was 2.00. Had to use quarters.

Who said it is debit card swipe? Maybe someone on location can confirm.
