Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

Call the actual resort or central reservations and have it noted on my reservation? Thanks!

Actually, you'll get the same call center no matter what number you dial. Even though there are numbers out there that claim to be for individual resorts, they all go to a call center - they just answer as "Coronado Springs Resort," or "Pop Century Resort" or whatever. Even when you call from your room to the "front desk" you're not really getting someone AT your resort's front desk, you're getting a main call center. That's why, if you have a problem, it's always best to physically go TO the front desk of the resort and speak to a real live person face-to-face.

So, that was a roundabout way of saying just call 407-WDISNEY and tell the CM that you would like to have a room request noted on your reservation. :thumbsup2

Thank you! Will do!

Hope this is ok to ask here...
Trying to save some weight in my bag for the parks -- can I leave the ponchos in the room if the weather forecast is 0% chance of rain? Not familiar with Florida weather and whether or not it is changeable. Checking in to CSR in 5 days!!! Everyone here has been so helpful -- our first trip to WDW is going to be awesome!!

8 days for us!!!! I will dance!!!
:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

8 days for us too now. We will arrive the same day u will. We will be the ones walking around with UGA shirts! Will probably end up watching the game in the BC lounge with Bev in hand :goodvibes

Hi all!

My husband received an award at work and it included an all expenses paid trip for two for 3 nights wherever we wanted to go. As much as I wanted to use it for a trip to Hawaii, we decided against it because we'd spend too many hours flying (we're on the East Coast). He also vetoed anywhere we needed a passport... Which knocked out Mexico, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean (party pooper). He also didn't want to go on a cruise (said a ship is a ship and he went on all sorts of deployments when he was in the Marine Corps)..... Anyhoo, we settled on Disney (much to the dismay of our children who aren't coming along) It's been years since we were last there and we're looking forward to it. We'll be there for 4 days/3 nights from Dec 18 - 21st. We got confirmation from the travel agent yesterday that everything was booked... A king room, deluxe dining, and tickets to the Christmas party the day we arrive....

The first time we went, we stayed at Shades of Green, the second time, we stayed at POP. This will be our first time at CSR.

Congratulations!! I'll be there 12-21 - so did your TA do your dining reservations?? Since you are on deluxe plan if you don't have that done, need to get on it PRONTO!

Sure. But, the chance of a Florida weather forecast saying 0% is 0%. :rotfl:

I must admit, I REALLY dislike working with a travel agent because I'm somewhat of a control freak and hate waiting for confirmation that it was done (I'm still waiting for confirmation on our Christmas party tickets), so I'm handling everything I'm allowed to handle..But for a free trip, I'll suck it up and deal with it. I made nearly all of my reservations Tuesday night while waiting for her to book the package. Some of the ones I really wanted weren't available, but I've been checking back several times over the past 2 days and have gotten both 1900 Park Fair and Crystal Palace... The times aren't ideal, but I'll keep checking and hoping for some openings. Here's the plan so far:

12/18

Lunch: Le Cellier
Dinner: ?? Probably just counter service in MK since that's the Christmas Party

12/19:
Breakfast: Kona
Lunch: Rose & Crown Candlelight Processional package (show at 6:45)
Dinner: Coral Reef (after processional)

12/20:

Breakfast: Crystal Palace (this is one I need an earlier time for)
Dinner: 1900 Park Fair

12/21:
Breakfast: 1900 Park Fair (another one I need an earlier time)
Lunch: ????

I'm debating whether or not to see the Candlelight Processional, I know I'd enjoy it, but not so sure about DH... I think it will depend on just how religious it is. Plus, I'm not sure it's worth 2 credits at a 1 credit restaurant. AND.. we like to graze our way around the world, so I'm leaning more towards doing that.. We usually get something in each country and share it..

I'm trying to be good and not over plan each day like I did on previous trips (I made laminated touring plans done for each day and the kids still give me grief over them) since there will be no kids, I think this will be more of a laid back, people watching, strolling, enjoy the atmosphere trip... Not a breakneck, ride everything, see everything, do everything trip.

Good morning,

I'm sorry I can't remember who gave me that advice but someone here suggested to book Water view-King to enhance our chances to get a Casitas. The pricing for the upgrade was nothing (10$) so I just booked it.

I thought I didn't mind about the parking lot view we had in the ranchos last year but I'm really excited about the water view now.

So... Thank you!!!! :woohoo:

A water view room is not all that, but the King Waterviews are only in Casitas and Cabanas from what I am told.

Its nice to not be on a parking lot side, but then you really don't have a balcony to enjoy it as much as you would in a Deluxe resort.

Hi, everyone!

We are trying to decide between CBR and CSR for our 2nd trip to wdw- over Easter break this year.

If we were to book CSR, what room type / area would be best to try to get a room not too far from the main pool & restaurant area?

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

We booked a Preferred room at CSR for our stay starting Nov 1st. That secures us in the Casitas which puts us close the the main check in building and food and restaurants.
Casitas has a lovely quiet pool from what I can tell by the pictures.

If you want to be close to the dig site and main pool I believe that would be the Ranchero section.:thumbsup2

Pretty big resort! I will post when we get there! I am requesting Casitas Building 3.

That exactly why I upgraded to Water view- King room (we had "King Room") and still has "Casitas" on my request. *Fingers crossed*

We're ok with not having a private balcony since we will have a balcony for our 2 previous nights (YC and AKL). :)

Is there a listing somewhere of room types per building? Particularly Ranchos 7a?

Bonus question:

Is the touring plans view finder what you see when you open the door?

Trying to determine which doors don't lead directly to the parking lot.
My toddler is a runner.

I couldn't find a listing but...

No Water View for Sure. Business Class is in 9B. Preferred rooms are in Casitas 1-2-3 ...

So my guess would be "Standard Rooms", "Garden Rooms" and "King Rooms".

As per room view finder, garden wasn't an option. Is this a booking option/upgrade? A lot of rooms I looked at were views of landscaping, is that garden?

Another bonus question.

Take Ranchos 7a for example..
Two of the buildings have most of the rooms horizontal, but then have four vertical rooms tacked onto the end of the building.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but based on standard room layout, doesn't that mean that the last horizontal rooms before these four end ones, have two bathrooms butted up along the length of their room?
Anyone stay in this type? How is the sound, or should I say soundproofing? Not excited about a room where I have direct access to 2 families worth of showers and flushes lol.

(ex: 7130, 7140, 7180, 7190)
