That's true but here is something else I noticed about the Food & Fun Center in recent years. Even though they would stay open 24 hours so you can get drinks, the grill closed at 10:00 PM and a few years ago it would close 1 hour after the Magic Kingdom closed. When it comes to foods like the sandwiches and salads they sold in their fridge, they get purchased very fast when the grill closes and were not re-stocked until they next day. So you could down there at 12:30 AM and there would be almost nothing left to purchase.

That's exactly what happened to us. We would get back after MK closing around 12:30 and there would be like 2 roast beef subs, a couple things of jello and pudding, and a couple turkey sandwiches and that's it. I also read about the overnight room service menu on allearsnet before I left and thought we could just do that, but then menu we saw when we got there was very different and was mostly all salads, fruit, etc...

I have also read the overnight items you can purchase from the room service menu and I thought they were basically the same items they sold at the Food & Fun Center, the only difference is they are more expensive.

Does anybody know if the temporary food center has the refillable mugs available (and yes, I guess I want to know if the Icee's are there too:rolleyes: )

Thanks

Here are the differences I noticed compared to the menu I saw online. Online the evening food available through in room dining is available until midnight, but at the CR it says it's only until 11:00. In addition, the overnight menu online lists chips & salsa, a deli sub, muffins/croissants/danishes, and chocolate cake. The menu in our room didn't have any of these items listed. It did, however, have the other things listed online, but it's not much.

They do have the refillable mugs, but they only have the wider ones that don't have the closable lid and don't fit in your car cup holders, and they only have the CR ones, not the YOMD ones. They do not have the icees, just the normal fountain drinks.

Since the search function hasn't worked right in two days - could someone enlighten me on all the places on CR property that you can see Wishes - other than California Grill. Is the beach a viable option? My kids don't like the lound "bang" from being really close to fireworks, so seeing them from afar is actually preferred. Thanks!

Besides the California Grill you can also view them from the 4th floor observation deck and I also think another great location is by the Contemporary bus station.

Other than the CG and your room (if you have a MK view) you can also view Wishes from the 4th floor observation deck. We actually watched from the hammocks on the beach one night. You couldn't see everything, but it was nice for a night to be away from the crowds. The only drawback is that you can't really hear the music. I was a kid who hated the 'noise' part of fireworks, so I totally understand. Good luck, and enjoy your trip!!

My guess is the menu online has not been updated, since these changes. On Allearsnet.com they have the room service menu with the date March 2004.

Has anyone ever eaten Thanksgiving dinner at the CG? One of the sites was showing the meals for the holidays and the CGs menu looked yummy! thanks.

The menu is on the main page of the Dis called Dis page updates. I scrolled down until I came across Thanks., Christmas and New years menus. They all sound so good!

Karen, do you remember what the F&FC had for breakfast? That's my biggest concern for Sept. If it's bad, I may have to order Room Service.

Loving your TR! You were beautiful! BTW, did anyone help get the things you needed at the resort? How was the Atrium Club?

I am also interested in knowing what is available at the temporary F&FC for breakfast.(I'd be happy with a doughnut or muffin LOL) Also do you think if we get the other mugs (million dreams) we can use them there? I don't like that fat mugs, and I really love the new million dreams mug. I thought about ordering a basket for my kids, and having those added to it.

I am happy to hear that they still have the mugs, and sodas, that was my biggest worry!!

Add me to the list of those who are interested in what is at the FFC for breakfast in particular.
And, Karen, I just read your trip report and you look fabulous! Congrats!!:cheer2:
