I was looking at pix of the hospitality and one bedroom garden wing suites to see how they have been refreshed. They look amazing!

I hadn’t looked at the deluxe room so yesterday I did . A few things….. It says sleeps 4 but now there is only a king and a twin so sleeps 3. They removed a bar area/Frig and made the bathroom larger. I like the addition of a table with chairs vs the desk they used to have.

Here is the old floor plan for reference. ;

Pix of the deluxe room. There are only 3 of them on the corner in the garden wing. 30385359-D8B8-48FA-9E21-253C82F6B714.png4EB59000-E71D-4D5C-87F1-09DA73357B71.png8A7D9B0F-B9E5-4AA2-A997-DD9457E8F36A.png102F8BFE-CF99-4C94-A0FC-0128AF1C2625.pngFE29B97C-ECA3-4A2C-A19D-39027A0C04DC.png3BEFF662-9428-492F-AB92-06133AA679EA.png81BBB87B-FDD0-4E09-A467-940C0A96645A.png

Quick question, we are staying at the contemporary for the first time, in a couple weeks. My crew wants to buy the refillable mug, I have read that we can fill them at the contempo cafe.. is that the only place? if so, can we fill them before/after hours? Thinking after the parks close, for some Powerade..

thank you!

On 3/30, the first night of our stay I anticipated needing coffee before 7 am open, so was in CC filling my newly purchased refillable mug with coffee for the next day. Plan was to keep in fridge in room and have a cold coffee in the morning, which I enjoy. I don’t love kcups.

The manager on duty saw me, and enthusiastically told me that they start making big pots of hot coffee at 5:30 AM, and the refill station is open 24 hours. I would definitely reconfirm that upon your arrival, but if so, that is a major advantage!

Oh, wow! DSis stayed in one of those right before refurb, and although the room size/shape had promise, it just looked dark with the old coloring. This looks fantastic!

We have a hospitality suite booked for late June, so I’ll report back, but I saw a YouTube video that convinced me to nab it. The GW suites look lovely.

I really do like the look of the GW suites. They remind me more of the mid century modern look that they were going for with the lobby.
We stayed in one of the deluxes (3rd floor) during the refurb while the main tower was closed and liked the layout. I’d say it’s a nice space for 2 adults and a child. They did a nice job upgrading the furniture in there. Previously the couch was on the other wall and was a pullout. I wonder if it it’s the twin-sized daybed now?

Looking at the picture above it looks exactly like the twin sized to me. The way they have the pillow on the side is how they show it in the 2 q rooms. For sofa sleepers they always show the 2 pillows .

Hi there, could someone with recent experience please tell me what the bus situation is like at the Contemporary?

Are the buses shared with another resort? I have read it is shared with Wilderness Lodge, but I do not know if that is outdated information or not. In particular I'm wondering about getting to the parks in the morning. I don't mind if buses are shared at off-peak times of the day, but would like to understand if we're going to be in the situation where the bus arrives already full at the Contemporary because it had already picked up people at Wilderness, for example.

Would there be separate lines for buses to different parks - e.g. a line for the Hollywood Studios bus and a line for the Animal Kingdom bus?

Thanks!

Generally deluxe resorts have their own bus at peak times like park opening and closing. Sometimes in midday they share. Poly with gf , WL with cr.

There are sections for each park at the bus stop. Park opening can be a little hectic but not too bad.

If anyone is at Fantasia Market and has time, please take pictures of what they have available at this time.
I’m considering picking up a few things like bagels, milk, fruit, bottled water, beer…..

Oh I’m on my iPad pix aren’t here I’ll post from phone shortly.
anyone order steakhouse 72 sandwiches and take to pool for munch. Is that pretty easy?
I have done that at Poly with Kona’s to go.

I have ordered from Contempo Cafe and taken to the pool.

👍you good.

We are coming next month and have a room in a tower. I just saw room opening up in garden view- are the rooms there not as nice as in the tower. They are cheaper and I’m not sure if the wings connect to the main building to get drink refills. What are your thoughts on outside wings vs towe rooms. These are both basic rooms- no CL or suites

I have done both Garden wing and tower .

The rooms are mostly the the same. Since the last refurb the bathrooms in the wing only have showers. The towers are mostly the tub/shower combo with a few kings and a few shower only mixed in available upon request.

You will walk outside for just a little bit but it is covered.

I don’t mind the walk. My dd prefers the TPV rooms. So it all depends on what is available out dates and discounts available.

Last GW 2nd and 3rd floors do not have a balcony, 1 st floor has a shared patio with room adjacent.
