Disney's CONTEMPORARY RESORT Information & Questions

Hi, everyone! I had posted in my own thread about this but was advised to post in this thread... I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend of two-and-a-half years in a few months when we stay at the Contemporary in a Theme Park View room. My current plan is to propose to her during Wishes, but I want to make sure we have as good of a view for the show as possible.

I was wondering, based on anyone who has stayed there previously or knows the resort really well, what types of requests I should make to hopefully get the best view possible from the room? Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks!

Another BLT cash reservation question: Will housekeeping replace the coffee and tea every day, as well as toiletries?

I can't believe that we are only a week away from our first WDW stay! :jumping1: :hyper:
Yes.. Tea and coffee is replaced daily.. So is shampoo and soaps

Higher floor and odd number room. That's what we have now and it's beautiful! Congrats!

Hi all,

what a great thread! We are looking to book a 1 bedroom at BT in late Sept 2016. just wondering if these rooms or indeed BLT in general tend to be included in the discount offers? I realize there are no guarantees but couldn't find any information on past discounts including BLT only Contemporary??

The last few offers I've seen have excluded BLT, but not sure if that's always the case?

We are here now in a Tower Theme Park View room and we have fallen in love with the Contemporary! We have even changed our May reservation from Beach Club to Contemporary Tower TPV again! We got a great passholder rate too! Yay! The closeness of everything from mug refills to shopping to the monorail which we have had no issues with! We can't wait to come back! Will post pics when we get home!

YIPPEE on re-booking CR TPV!

Congratulations on your upcoming proposal! Make sure you have your engagement plan added to your reservation, and also speak to a CM upon arrival.

There's also the option of booking CA Grill the night of your proposal. I've seen proposals there during Wishes and it's a wonderful setting. You can let the CMs know you're proposing and they will work with you to make it memorable with photos, cake, etc…, as they would at any WDW venue. I've only seen the indoor proposals, but you also have outdoor access there. The Wine Room is a smaller and more private dining area surrounded by windows, however, it doesn't have a Wishes view, it overlooks Bay Lake, but it's cozy and you might like asking for that area.

We are booked for the second week of July, Atrium Level with TPV. Cannot wait. :jester:

Congratulations!

Welcome to the thread! Here is the link to HISTORICAL WDW DISCOUNTS. As with all resorts and villas, BLT is often available, but not always. It's always included in the 40% off Military discount, but the number of villas is limited.

Wdwkook, can you tell me more about the Wine Room? DH and I are celebrating our 25th but our reservations are too early for wishes. I'm looking for a special anniversary night.

Thanks.

The Wine Room is a separate area of CG facing Bay Lake. It's located past the sushi bar and open kitchen and around back. Unlike the Sonoma and Napa rooms, which are located near the restrooms, this area is a public seating area and ordinarily, can't be reserved. You can request to be seated in this room upon check-in downstairs.

It has maybe 6 tables, (can't recall exactly) and has the feel of a semi-private area. However, they do allow children, it's not an adult-only setting.

In 2 weeks I'll be waking up in my CR TPV room!!! So excited.

I've been following the toiletries information carefully. Is the Grapefruit scent all gone from the CR now? And it's just the Sea Salt scent?

Thanks everyone for keeping us up to date on this thread. I am so beyond excited to hopefully get my odd numbered room this year!!

I've looked everywhere to an answer to this, but I can't find it. Can BLT guests reserve pool cabanas? If so, can they get ones at the CR pool or just the quiet pool?

Just booked our CR tower TPV room for early October! Headed down for a long weekend for our first MNSSHP. :) This will be the shortest trip we have ever taken. Only 3 nights. But since we plan on doing MNSSHP and then another MK day, we thought this would be the perfect time to try the contemporary since it's been my DH's childhood dream to stay there, even though it doesn't really appeal to me!

Very excited we've booked a trip for 1/5/2017 thru 1/8/2017 during Marathon week. We'll be staying in a studio at Bay Lake Tower! We can walk to the MK...........and a short monorail ride away from Trader Sam's in the Poly!!!!

I think you will find you really enjoy the convenience of CR, especially for a long weekend, MK-focused trip. And you will love MNSSHP!!! Enjoy!

I'm hoping someone will have an answer for me. I'm not staying here (plan to again someday!) but we have the Pirates & Pals Voyage booked. We will have our car & would like to drive there - would we be able to park there without a fee? If so, for how long? We have to check in for the cruise at 8:45 and it gets back after the 10pm Wishes. I'd hate to have to valet for a few hours.
