Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

File this under "Interesting things a phone CM has said..."

I have a Nov trip I needed to shift by a day - coming a day earlier, leaving a day earlier. Room-only reservation, as always, and an AP discount. The same CR CL room was available, slight price difference, but we have a huge deposit down, so I should have been able to easily make this change for myself, but I was hitting a dead end online with a "please call to make this adjustment" message. So I called, and here is what the CM said: "Oh! Well, you can never make an online adjustment yourself with this reservation type." I responded, "Really? It's an annual passholder rate, I can't recall having an issue before." And she said - get this - "No, because it's a room only. You can never change a room-only reservation without calling. Now, if you want, I can make it a package and then even add the dining plan for you!" I asked if this was a a new thing, and she said no.

Anyone else heard this? I assume not, because I know I have changed dozens of room-only res myself, AP, other discounts, rack, and even one BB. Really trying not to be cynical here, I sure hope she was just mistaken, but...do phone CM get a commission for packages?
I never trust phone cm’s. We always know more here. I change my AP res all the time and even arrival day. They are def incorrect on this one.

Mine was confused about why there were no water view rooms at CR. I was like, yeah, they changed that.

I mean, to be fair, we are uber Disney dorks. Maybe I should send WDW an invoice for training..?

Oh man, that’s great for Irv but sad for us. He was such a fixture of our Poly stays for several years and we never ran into him again after Covid when he moved to GF. :-( The man was a testament to the benefits of staying active and mentally engaged as the years pass by.

And since I guess he’s retired now it’s OK to admit this… to this date the only CL CM I’ve ever tipped. 😂😇
WE loved seeing Irv at the Poly years back. He was always so kind to us all.

So many fun memories with Him! Often on NYE! So fun.

A few years ago when he was 1st at GF dd then 27? Asked around 9:30pm are there any chocolates around?

He said let me look and left.

He came back and took a handful of Hershey kisses from his apron and put them on the table in front of her.

Then another handful
Another
Another like 6 or 7 times total. 🧐🤨😂🤣

After that trip I would remind him of that and we would get a good chuckle.

He will be missed!

They do, it’s just not left out like it used to be. It’s now only brought out during dessert hours, however, you can ask a CL CM for one during the day.
While it is great for regular or returning CL Guests, how are new CL Guests supposed to know this? Do they have a posted list of on-demand / request offerings?

IDK about AK, but in May YC did have a small sign on the refrigerator saying to ask for ice cream treats.
