Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Oh yeah! 1st I got dd the 2 bedroom BWI suite for her Bach by checking and found dates changed for reopening . Then I texted TA this morning and got the AP applied and saved her $1600.

Woohoo! I get to arrive last night for all the fun too. Phew that was last day of discounts so I’m doing cl. 🥂😅🥰

Snagged wilderness lodge club level for March on discount! Anyone there now that can post some pictures of breakfast offerings?
No photos but stayed at WL CL back in August. They offered the standard pastries/bread/carbs etc. An egg dish everyday (usually scrambled, sometimes mixed with cheese or ham)....a meat offering that rotated each day (bacon, sausage, turkey bacon). Breakfast was overall very good.

How often does the RPC have strawberry soup? What other types of food do they have during the week? Is the grand Floridian club or Polynesian better?

Going next week and will report back! I am a lurker, but this is the best thread on the boards. Happy to contribute some info after a stay at my favorite Wilderness Lodge and my first club level stay!

Currently GF is much better, I have seen the strawberry soup with appetizers several nights. It is called soup but boy is it a treat!

RPC did bring back soups for midday.

Hopefully someone can chime in with current offerings. I have stayed there twice since reopening bugs it’s been a while.

Tough question. So many variables and it's all so subjective at the end of the day. Both are strong CLs IMHO, but personally I prefer Poly CL over GF CL, but a lot of that is rooted in the fact that I just like Poly as a resort over GF. Not that I don't like GF, I've stayed there plenty of times, I just like Poly better.

At the moment, Poly definitely gets the nod on rooms as the rooms have been recently renovated, vs GF which are at the end of their useful life (renovations seemingly will happen sometime in 2023+ (?), exact dates TBD). Poly's lounge is also brand new and quite lovely. I hope GF's lounge gets a heavy overhaul when renovated. I left our March stay at GF saying I wouldn't be back until renovations were done, our room was not good if I'm being honest (in fairness we've had other GF rooms in recent times that were totally fine).

GF CL has more abundant food/beverage offerings, but I personally like what Poly CL serves better - very subjective of course. GF's food has always felt a little heavy/rich for me.

Both resorts have construction going on in the near-term - GF currently some outer building renovations and at some point presumably the main building and Poly the new tower (although for a Poly CL stay I would suggest it's pretty much a non-issue as it's not that close, "off to the side.").

Every CL at Disney will have kids/families, but I'd suggest Poly CL has a more family/kids vibe than GF CL which has a slightly more adult vibe - but that kind of thing can whipsaw quickly with the composition of your fellow guests.

I could probably compare/contrast all day long but I think it ultimately comes down to what sort of vibe you're going for in a resort. The good thing is there is no wrong answer! 8-)

I’ve done RPC a few times recently (I think 3 brief stays since this time last year) and have tried to post about food items - last series of posts from August is here:

I’m not a strawberry soup person, but it seems like it was there every other day, at least.

I love Poly but have always found it to be crowded and loud. I haven’t stayed Poly CL for about 5 years, but even though the new rooms look amazing and fresh, my beef with Poly CL in general (same as most non-RPC clubs, I suppose) is that it’s kind of chaotic in the lounge. RPC is really open and relaxing. The rack rate at RPC rooms are really tough to justify, though, since they really do need a refresh!

I had Wilderness CL booked for January, but a Chronos Club deluxe suite just popped up, so I grabbed it. It’s the only club level we’ve never stayed, and with the AP discount, it was $1500 cheaper than the discounted deluxe Wilderness room, which is nothing to sneeze at; thought it was an omen to jump in and try it. Thanks for all the good info on this thread! (So there’s now a WL cl up for grabs!)
