Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hello all! We have just booked to stay 2 nights at the Poly ( garden room- club) and then 2 nights at YC ( standard room- club) after having a week with ddp in a OKW studio.

We are super excited as we have never stayed at any if the resorts and i have always wanted to stay at the Poly. The Kids chose YC for Storm-away but also excited after reading views on here.

Any suggestions for room preference s or must do at either resort?

Sounds like fun. With a 2 night stay, I don’t think room location really matters all that much, but with Poly CL GV rooms... 1st floor rooms have patios, 3rd floor rooms have balconies, 2nd floor rooms don’t have an outdoor space (they have the same sliding glass balcony door, but there’s a faux-balcony railing just on the other side). Many have a preference for an outdoor space, so request a 1st or 3rd floor room, which at least in theory gives you a 2/3 chance of not getting the 2nd floor. But if that doesn’t matter to you, there aren’t really any other locational attributes of the GV rooms that would fundamentally change one’s experience, in my opinion.

Enjoy your trip.

Actually, in the case of WL, not being on the CL floor is a bonus. They have solid rail balcony's and you have to stand to see out of them. It's a huge negative. Going with the CL add on at check-in is not only cheaper it gives you a much better balcony or even a patio. We never book CL rooms at WL any more.

AngiTN how many times have you done the upgrade at WL to club level? Have you done it in December? Wondering if we have a regular room Nov. 30-Dec. 5th if we might be shut out of the upgrade availability?
Thanks for any input.

We were able to add on CL access Thanksgiving week. I haven’t read on here of anyone being told there wasn’t availability to add the CL access, but theoretically it could happen.

We haven't stayed YC CL, but had my first Poly CL stay this past Oct and it was amazing! I think anywhere in the Hawaii building is great, but as GADisneyDAD posted, if you want to be close to the lounge and/or have a balcony or patio, you can put in requests for those. Hope you have a great trip and enjoy both Poly & YC CLs :wizard:.

3, 4, I forget now. Every time we stay there. Last time was NYE weekend
Never been turned down.
It's not advertised at all so pretty much the only people who know to ask are those who read it here.

Any news on the new club level at the Gran Destino Tower at CSR?
Well, I just got a call from Disney Signature Services regarding my upcoming July stay at Gran Destino Tower, just as we did staying at the other CL resorts in the past. So, looks promising that it is going to be legit CL services. Will post more if I learn anything else! Getting very excited!

Oh good you'll be there before me, pix please!

Does anyone know if you can request from concierge to have room refrigerator stocked with soda and beer?

I have had our fridge stocked by request and they have even offered to do it at a few locations, typically no beer, soda and water, it’s BYOB if you want it in there. Many lounges are removing caps on bottles so it has become harder to stock beer yourself anymore also.

If you have a room like the deluxe cl rooms at WL or the Hosptiality or other outer building suites at CR where they are far from the lounge they do stock those.

I have a friend who often arrives late (after 10p)and has requested that for std cl room and has been successful . It's hard to get a beverage when most places are closed.

I never thought I'd participate in this thread but I just booked a room in Sugar Loaf at GF for June! I have two young kids (2 and 5) and I'm hoping the easy access to food and proximity to the pool will make the upgrade worth it. Very excited to try CL for the first time!

Hi all. We are doing a 4 night club stay split between Poly and YC.
Do you know if we will qualify for the extra paid for FP?

Am i right in thinking you have to buy for your whole party and for a minimum of 3 days? ( so for me it is 4 people @ $50 per day for 3 days)

With the paid for fp, do they need tp be in the same park? Can my normal fp be in a different park and can I duplicate a ride( eg fop for 1 paid fp and fop for a normal fp)

Trying to think if this would be more beneficial to us then the paid for morning event?

Thanks all

Yes, you qualify for the program with your stay. You have to book a minimum of three days of using the program, but only need a minimum of a two night stay to be eligible. Your minimum three days can be spread over your two stays. (Hope that makes sense)

No, you don't have to buy it for every member of your traveling party - you can choose whom you want to participate.

The "Paid FPs" (or Extra FPs) can be in any park and any tier. The "Regular FPs" still need to follow standard FP rules - so park/tiering rules still apply. They will tell you you can't duplicate a ride and they won't book them as such, but some guests have later changed a Regular FP to duplicate a ride. Within these guidelines you can pretty much mix/match whatever combination of parks/tiers/FPs you'd like to come up with.

Here's a rundown of the program on the TPAS board with further information: https://www.disboards.com/threads/f...ing-anytime-fps-cl-fps.3538258/#post-56320893

Hope that helps, happy to answer any questions!

Thank you so much thats really helpful. My dilemma is that i really want to have lazy resort based days when we are club as we at are okw for a week prior to this when we will be at the parks daily.

I cant work out if the early morning magic( paid for one) or the extra fp would work better. We have a 5 and 11 year old. the 5 year old dream day would be to ride 7D on loop!
