GF definitely does late checkout. I find late checkout requests vary every single trip. I’ve requested it my last 3 stays at GF and each time it has been different:
1- Immediately approved.
2- Pending, followed-up daily, finally told day before checkout approved.
3- Pending, denied day before checkout, followed-up with front desk who then called housekeeping, changed time by 30 minutes and approved.
I always ask about late checkout as soon as I check-in. I also find I have better luck when requesting it physically in person with the front-desk. The call center you get from the in room phone or
MDE app can either be very helpful or completely useless. The front desk has also gone above and beyond at GF and YC when I had followed-up about a “denied” request.
