Two factors are widely misunderstood about allergies, so allow me to inform others:Can you please expand on the ALLERGY procedure? Do you mean for the club lounge? We will be staying CR CL in October with our boys who both have a peanut allergy and are intolerant to artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. We were going to email the club level support staff with give them a heads up about the peanut allergy. It's not airborne, so that's good. We needed a little information on the other foods to get an idea of what they can eat (if anything). Thanks!
Welcome Back!!Just got back from a week in a standard view CL room at Yacht Club. Feel free to ask me any questions you many have![]()
I think your going to love it!We've stayed at BC, YC and BWI but have only stayed CL at BWI and BC. We prefer these resorts during Food & Wine for convenience to Epcot. Also, my husband spends his Saturdays in the fall watching college football so he usually spends part of the day at ESPN Club and prefers that it is only a short walk or boat ride away.
As I said in the OP, staying CL but not actually being on that floor was not as enjoyable (Beach Club this year). Our room was on the first floor, which was very convenient for the International Gateway but to go to the lounge, we had to walk the entire length of the resort to the elevator bank to get there. My kids were 10 & 12 at the time and I was unwilling to let them go on their own. We have our routines, where my hubby and boys get dressed and go to the lounge leaving me to get ready in peace, both for breakfast and before we head to the parks in the evening. My husband will bring me some breakfast/snacks and wine to enjoy while I am getting dressed. It just was not as easily accomplished while on another floor and there were days where we did not even visit the lounge.
Thanks for the comment, I think we might try YC CL next year.
Last night was not a good night in the CR Tower... There was a HUGE crowd of people that were here for what I can only assume a party... They took over a 1 BR Suite but also the lounge at times. They were rude as all get out... They moved chairs etc from one room to another and several of them bumped into my girl in the hallway ... No "sorry" or anything alike. At some point they also moved a huge keyboard piano into the lounge. It was the most bizarre thing I have witnessed. We did not hear them much in the room...
I really want to say something but don't want them to think I want something for free... I just don't want another evening like this... Plus we are so happy here and Idont know if a complaint is warranted over one thing when usually everything is amazing...

The Contemporary is a convention resort. They have plenty of rooms for parties. They must have just gone what was easy and thought other guests would have to just deal with it.We're here too! I'm wondering what family you are now -- were the hard to miss group with the big guys -- and I'd like to preface our group grows by 4 today! Anywho, we asked and they are a part of the night of joy celebration. Something happened to their reservation and they had to accommodate them up on 14 for their reception last night!
Sorry about your little girl!
Generally the WDW CL's do not provide bottled water. The Universal CL's do. The Hard Rock themed water bottles are kind of special!Does CL (specifically BC since that is where we are staying) offer bottled water? Debating on if I need to add a Publix stop on our way in!
The BWI CL will give you as many small bottles of Dasani as you want. They are not in their fridge, all you have to do is ask for them.Generally the WDW CL's do not provide bottled water.

Last month, to our surprise, Cr CL actually DID give us ONE 24ounce bottle of water, but with temps in the 90's, that was a drop in the bucket. (Sorry for the pun.)
The CL's DO provide a decanter of filtered ice water and cups (including Styrofoam cups), plus canned beverages and apple juice boxes.
In addition to Publix, there are many options in the area. A simple one is the Hess stations right on WDW property. The one near the AAA Car Care Center has the best selection of water, IME.
We liked both. I think it is important to understand, internally WDW considers them one resort, with one central kitchen. They have much in common.Yacht or Beach Club club level? Which do you prefer and why? We stayed at BC club level this year however we chose a 1 bedroom suite and were on a different floor a mile down the hallway from the elevator banks. Resort was fantastic, room was very nice but due to our room location, we didn't make it to the lounge as often as we have at other resorts. This time, we are booking ON the club level floor!
We also drink a lot of water when it is warm. Thanks to everyone for your input! I am a very heavy water drinker - I swear I drink 5 gallons during the office week... SO I think I'll be stopping at Publix to pick up a case or two for our week stay. This will also be good to take into the parks since it is so hot out!
Can I ask what difference the electrolyte water makes? Does it taste different? Never heard of it in the uk! ThanksWe also drink a lot of water when it is warm.
If I may, I suggest you also buy a six pack of electrolyte water. We only drank regular water until the 3rd day, but quickly noticed a difference after we had some of the electrolyte water.

Thank you! Interesting re chocolate milk!Electrolyte water's contain sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium which replenish what you lose through perspiration. It helps your body recover in the heat or after exertions such as sports or exercise. One of the best known brands here in Canada (and I suspect in the US as well) is Smart Water. Another containing naturally occurring electrolytes is (my fav) Fiji Water.
Believe it or not, chocolate milk is a great source of electrolytes as well.![]()
You should try coconut water. It re-hydrates better than Gatorade. My wife swears by it!Thank you! Interesting re chocolate milk!
