Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Poly CL is the one resort that I have a hard time leaving. Don't get me wrong, I love all other CL stays, especially fond of RPC, but there is something serene and calm about Poly CL that lures me in and makes me miss it while not there.

This makes me even more excited to try Poly CL! I love RPC, but Poly CL sounds amazing as well :goodvibes.

Arrived at poly around 10am on Monday. We were greeted at the ME by a greeter that looked for us. He escorted us over to Hawaii to check in

Greeters are still around but maybe time or ME play a factor.

Loving CL so far, having a wonderful time at the poly.

We arrived last week via DME around 6 pm, and there was NOT a greeter. I did see someone the next morning WAS escorted to Hawaii. At times, the 1st desk on your right, after you enter the Grand Ceremonial House, had a sign above it saying "Club Level Arrivals". At other times, the sign was blank.

When we arrived a few weeks ago no one was looking for us but since I knew we should be escorted I went up to the check in desk and said were we staying in Hawaii and we would like to be walked over. The cast member gave us a short tour and then took us to Hawaii. She was lovely. Whenever we ran into to her after that she would make sure we were enjoying our stay.

I just received my Magicbands! Can't wait to arrive at the Yacht Club Club Level in a few weeks!

The time will go fast and you will be checking into the YC before you know it :).

Hey guys. Our first ever CL trip is only 58 days away. We'll be staying at GF RPC. :cloud9: I've never stayed at GF, but this is a special adult only trip so my husband said, "go all out". Boy, did I! :teeth: BWI is my absolute favorite resort & after reading so many great reviews about their CL I nearly booked it instead...especially since we're going to spend a lot of time at F&WF. However, after nearly booking BWI three different times, I got the "go all out...make it a stand out trip" speech from my husband since this is my 30th birthday re-do, as my actual 30th b-day trip last year DID NOT go well, so GF it is! Love that man! :love2:

I just contacted IPO for the first time. I'm too OCD to entrust them with my ADRs or FP+ but I figured I'd use them to put in my room requests as well as ME details as we now have our flights. Normally I know it's better to not request specific rooms, but I'm really hoping for either 4423 or 4323 since I love the layout, large balcony, and great view, but I put my third request as "beach pool view" so hopefully at the very least I get the view I want. So excited, I had to share! Could use any GF or CL tips! Trying to make the most of this trip since it's truly once in a lifetime for us- a week without our little ones, staying RPC. :cloud9:

I've actually had better luck with requesting specific room numbers. I've requested both 4423 and 4323 and ended up with 4423 one time and 4323 another time. I LOVE the layout of those rooms and the view, they're definitely my favorites! I think you have a great chance of getting one of those rooms. :)

Oh, I hope so!!! I purposefully didn't go with a king room since only half offer a balcony and for this trip we plan to spend a lot of time taking it slow and enjoying the view, so we definitely want to have a balcony to enjoy our RCP offerings on and the beach pool view, IMO, is the best!

Nice husband! You have picked the best CL experience out there, imo. Recent reports have said that RPC food is better than ever now, though since it's your first stay you won't have anything to compare it to so you'll just be blown away! We stayed at GF RPC for the first time a few months ago and fell in love with it -- I'm anxiously waiting to book our next stay there! I'm sure you've read all about the little extras, but even the toiletries are a notch above other resorts. Also, there is just something extra special about staying in the main building and listening to piano or orchestra, the shopping is fantastic, the food is incredible....so much to love about GF! Staying in RPC just magnifies all of those special things that GF has to offer. I think you'll love it!

A previous poster said there were lots of flies around the food service area. Are you noticing that too? The last time we were at RPC was about 3 years ago & there were fruit flies there then. At that time, people said it was unusual. Bugs around food really gross me out & I'll be really upset if it happens again.

Thanks & hope you are having a great time!!!
Sorry, I got busy and didn't find time to get online while we were there.

I did not notice any flies on our 2 days in the RPC lounge. I'm thinking they would not be normal, even with the lobby doors.

I' curios! What's the view in this rooms? Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Hello Disboard Community!

I have noticed that many of you post about a certain CM named Irv at the Poly! I am his granddaughter and I wanted to make a post about his popularity. He is very grateful that so many of you post about him and loves to tease me about how "famous" he is. He really appreciates guests like you guys that make his job so much more enjoyable. He loves working at the Poly and loves making guests smile. He always has a fun story to tell me about guests whenever I see him! :) Please continue to spread the love, he always gets a smile on his face when I read him the comments you guys post!!:rainbow:I've linked an image of us from a recent trip to Disney. Thanks again! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_iNQnReadnLTERqUVlpRGZMZmM/view?usp=sharing

Love,
KC
(P.S. If any of you are interested, he is an eligible bachelor :P:P:P)

Thank you for your post. We just spent a week with at the Poly and he is the nicest CM. He made us feel special!

We just did a split stay - first Poly CL then CR CL. The Poly greeting was wonderful. We were met in the lobby at the Club Level check in desk ( I can't remember her name. The woman was wonderful - gave us all leis and walked us to the Hawaii building. Our stay was wonderful there. The last day of the Poly we got a call on our cell from the CR. We were told to make sure that we physically check out of the Poly to make our change smoothly. They also said that no one would greet us in the lobby of the CR and that we needed to check in on the regular line and then someone would walk us up. They said this is a new feature they are starting. I don't know how they knew we were at the Poly as these are separate reservations. When we went to check out at the Poly the CM didn't understand why the CR called us. He said they could have checked us out themselves.

We went to the CR and checked in at the lobby desk. Someone walked us up and that was that. Nothing like the greeting at the Poly. We never got a club level lounge explanation. We have stayed there before but if you didn't you wouldn't know what was being offered or when. Our rooms weren't ready until after 4pm - one was ready closer to 5pm. They said because they are painting the outside of the building and they can't clean the room when they are painting. We did get our adjoining rooms. I went to ask for a list of lounge times and the CM said it should be in the room - there wasn't in either room. In one room the phone didn't work - there wasn't enough towels in either room and one room was missing a lamp shade. We love the CR for the proximity to MK but the Poly check in made us feel so special. I didn't do online check in because we were with people that have never stayed there before and I wanted them to get the greeting but we never got it anyway. The next day we had lovely CMs in the CR CL lounge (Paul and Kathy) which made up for the check in. We love the CR but hands down the Poly wins for feeling so welcome. I really miss it. A few more days at the CR - and we are loving every minute of it I just wish they could make the check in a little better.

We're back from an amazingly wonderful visit to BWI CL. It is by far our favorite resort on Disney property - there's just something about it that none of us can quite articulate, but it feels like home.

We checked in about 8:30am at the front desk. The CM was very nice and escorted us up to the 4th floor where we did our check in with Jackie. We've not been back to BWI CL in 3 years (we have DVC so we often are on the villas side) but we remembered Jackie and it was so so so nice to see her again :)

We were celebrating DS's 6th birthday and the experience exceeded our expectations. We were at YC CL in June and while it was very nice and we enjoyed Stormalong Bay, especially with unusually warm weather for early June, the BWI was far superior an experience for us. The CMs at BWI CL are the absolute best. We are extroverts (our kids are 9 and 6 and love interacting with the CMs) and we just really enjoyed chatting with the CMs in the lounge, telling them about our day etc. While all the CMs were out of this world, Jackie, Andrew, Anita and Linda went above and beyond for us. One day, we were surprised with a delivery of cupcakes to the room for DS's birthday :)

The food offerings were great, but the food is only a part of why we like CL. I really do love having breakfast readily available in the morning as I think it's a nice way to start our day without the stress of having to find a place before we go to the parks. CL for us is an experience - the lounge is a great place to hang out, chat with other guests (we met some really great people this time!), have some appetizers and a glass of wine. We love the service we get from the CMs and feel that it's the whole package, not just the food for us.

The exterior renovations are ongoing, but in no way impacted our good time.

The kids were really sad to leave and so were we - we'll be back for sure!

RPC is amazing! The lounge has beautiful views (IMO) and is a great place to relax while listening to the orchestra. Hope you have a great birthday trip :wizard:.

Glad you had such a good time at the BWI CL! We can't wait to get back in Dec. as it will be the first time that we have been at the BWI during the Christmas holiday season. We love Jackie and all the CM at the BWI,I don't know how they do it. Without fail they make all the world's problems just seem to disappear and for at least one week a year (or more since I keep making longer visits) I can go into vacation mode and not worry about a thing. That is priceless to me!!

So true! I stayed at BWI CL for one night last week, it was just as nice as it's always been. Next visit I'm hoping to stay a week. :flower:

It's so true!! I think that's why I will find it so tough to stay elsewhere - the kids even begged to upgrade to CL in Oct, but we have a 2 bedroom at the BWV with my parents and that will be very memorable as well.
