Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

There are two standard kings in RPC 4329 and 4429. They are smaller than a standard room. I would not want one of these rooms simply due to the size of the room. We stayed in one for one night when we had to move rooms due to a air conditioning issue in our room. If I wanted a king bed I would book a deluxe King as they are not much more than a standard RPC anyway.

I don't know about SL as I have only stayed there when RPC was closed for renovations.

I didn't know there were any standard king rooms, never saw them listed. The queen deluxe rooms are not listed either, I guess you just have to know about them somehow. You learn something new on the Dis everyday. I agree I would get a deluxe king since they are not much more.

Hey everyone! :)

Thanks to @Maxie86 we've got all new YC CL pics for page 1!!! :cheer2: Thanks so much for those!!!!

I just booked a trip back to Florida today, didn't think I could squeeze in a second one but luck was on my side! Nic and I heading down the first week of August and staying at the new Sapphire Falls. Hopefully it's nice! :goodvibes

You're welcome, glad I could help.

Yay for a second trip, have fun.

So exciting! And I'm jealous even though I just got back! I think I could go to Poly CL once a month and not get tired of it. We did the Twilight Feast (or whatever it's called -- the Ohana dinner delivery) and it was pretty good. I didn't have a dinner booked there in advance, so we opted for this. Have a great time, as I'm sure you will, and can't wait to hear about it!

Thanks! I may have to try that Twilight Feast one night. With DD at her age we're sort of tied to the room a bit more than we otherwise would like, so that's a great option for us!

I don't know anything about the Ohana feast despite staying CL several times! Can anyone give me details? :hyper2:

It's ordering Ohana via room service (it's not a CL thing, any resort guest can order it). They bring you a full selection of the usual Ohana dinner offerings, including bread, meat, and sides - pretty much the full Ohana experience. I have not done it but I tend to read great reviews and the portions sound huge. Has a lot of appeal to us given the flexibility in meal times and not having to mess with a (hard to get) reservation.

It came a lot quicker than it said it would too. Also, just a tidbit, but if there is something specific you don't want, you can ask for "no wings" and "extra steak," as an example.

this is good to know for the future as my crowd loves the noodles and isn't that crazy about the veggies. The ability to order both adult portion for $40 and childs portion for $20 is good too.

ETA they also bring you a pitcher of POG too, which is the Pineapple orange guava drink. Great on its own and also good to mix with Sprite.

Regarding IPO handling reservations, I called on last Friday to give my credit card details, sent an email yesterday requesting some bookings, and received a message this morning stating they could do nothing until they have a credit card on file for my reservation :headache:

I hope there has to be a delay before IPO can actually “use” the credit card given by phone, and that my card has not inadvertently been associated with someone else :badpc:

Has something like this already happened to any of you?

I would call the IPO right away if I had a question like this.

SF looks great! I watched some videos from this past week. Although it sounds like they have some opening week bugs to work out, it looks beautiful! We are going to walk over from RPR to check it out. Also, some are saying the lounge is the best hotel bar in Orlando! And the steel drum players in the lobby, beach ball chandelier, pool area, and waterfalls.....it all looks great! Enjoy your trip!!

The Twilight Feast from O'Hana looks amazing. We are planning on ordering it on our arrival day. There are 5 of us eating - we would likely be having dinner around 8ish or so. Do you know if they would let us bring the food to eat at one of the tables in the lounge if we clean up after it ourselves? We'll manage eating in the room if we have to, but it would be nice if we could eat at a table.

that sounds like a great idea. Maybe call the IPO and ask and if they say it's okay you probably could just ask the in room dining people if they'd deliver it to the lounge for you. Its on a very heavy tray

I don't think I've ever seen anyone have the Ohana feast in the lounge but I've seen plenty of people bring in food from Cap't Cooks or other places. One time I saw a very large group order a BUNCH of pizzas and pretty much take over part of the lounge for an extended period one night, which frankly I thought was kind of obnoxious, but that was on the extreme end of things. I bet you could park the tray outside of the third floor and use the tables up there and no one would ever bother or even think twice about you being there (that space is never utilized very much). But, curious to see what others have to say.

Although better yet, wait until Saturday and we'll order too and WE can be the ones taking over the lounge! :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1 Lol....

Dis Twilight Feast Night!

I had a std main building CL room booked and requested a king(on Disney site says king upon request). We did get one of those rooms. LOVED IT!!!

Yes it's a little smaller but I enjoyed a different layout, the double size balcony ,small hallway that lead to the railing overlooking the lobby and closeness to the lounge!

If you have a Boardwalk view CL room booked does that mean you'll have one of the 8 rooms that's listed on the first page of this thread? Just trying to figure out where those rooms would be located. TIA.

5 phone calls later and my concerns were resolved. Not entirely happily but mostly. I really hate when the manager tells me that they will use the thing that they screwed up on our reservation as a training lesson. Gee, thanks, I think...

Still, looking forward to our trip and rinsing the sour taste out of my mouth with some wine when I get there.

Glad your concerns were finally resolved. Hope you have a nice trip :wizard:.

Edited to add-- And I went ahead and booked the Star Wars dessert party for a different night for just me and DS.

Hope you have a great time :goodvibes.

We leave for our 2016 trip Wednesday:yay:

Wilderness Lodge CL Question--does anyone with recent experience at WL CL wish to share what they thought of it? We have stayed there before, and WL is the absolute favorite resort of my DH and DGS, but I was a little underwhelmed by the WL CL when we were there two years ago. I am hesitant to book there as part of our split stay this December. The first part of our stay is at the BWV.

I am considering booking BWI CL based on the great things I have heard, but the downside to that is that we would remain in the same place by EPCOT, and we truly enjoy the WL at Christmas, love the decorations and the choral groups that sing in the lobby. My questions are:

Any thoughts on WL CL vs. BWI CL?

How has construction affected the CL at WL?

Are my expectations simply too high for service on the CL? I have been blessed to stay at hotels like the Del Coronado and maybe that has skewed me as to what to expect from places like the GF? I want to add that we are the considerate, non-demanding sort of guests, but I do *notice* things and while these *things* might not even be things I am experiencing, it still impacts my impression of the place. For ex: a previous poster said that a CM "grabbed" the wine bottle from a guest. If that is correct, that the CM grabbed the wine bottle, that is a horrible faux pas. The correct approach would have been to approach in a genial manner and ask, "Pardon me, ma'am, may I assist you with the wine?" in a non-confrontational manner.

Once at the WL CL I observed two CL CMs that stood at the railing and hooted and hollered down to another CM in the lobby. (So, yes, down 7 floors.) They were apparently playing some sort of game. This game went on for awhile. It was 9:30 in the evening, and there were guests needing some assistance. Presumably, some may have been sleeping on the floor. Our DGC were, for example. To be balanced, on one trip my DGD developed a low grade temp and my daughter stayed with her in the room for a day and a half until my DGD felt better. The CMs were very sweet about keeping the room fridge stocked with juices and water, crackers and etc.

So it is not my intention to be unkind and whatnot, my question is sincere: Are my expectations (based on above) simply too high for Disney CL? Am I simply too old school? Or as my children like to tease, "too Downton Abbey in a Modern Family world"?

I can't answer about WL construction or a recent WL CL stay, but hopefully others will be able to help :flower3:.

It came a lot quicker than it said it would too. Also, just a tidbit, but if there is something specific you don't want, you can ask for "no wings" and "extra steak," as an example.

Thanks for this information :).

Quick question if you don't mind, where did you get the cake? I called the "Cake Hotline" but it's only for restaurant special cakes. I was hoping I could just have a special Disney cake delivered but maybe that's not an option. Thanks for any help. (sorry this isn't directly CL related folks)
There's also a bakery in Disney Springs, with delicious gluten-free options even.

I just hate the idea that I'm paying all this money for a service that they refuse to provide...

Right? I was a little miffed I had to watch and wait for the RoL stuff too (which never happened) and ended up making my own Tiffin's reservation when they opened up. They had asked me to ask them again when it was available to book. If I have to take the time to watch out for it and then email you to let you know its available and stress about when you're going to get around to it then its less trouble to just make the reservation myself. :sad2:

We had the same thing happen at the BWI CL when we stayed in March. A CM was almost always standing by the wine cart pouring but on one occasion I walked over to the wine cart and the CM was not there to pour so I started to pour my own when a CM nearly ran to me and took the bottle away and poured it. It was the only time I have ever felt uncomfortable at the BWI and when I spoke to other cast members at the BWI I was told that the "management " wanted full control of the wine pouring. Seems really silly to me. The politically correct spin is they are doing it to keep under 21 guests from drinking but it is really just a cost control measure. The hope is that if they do the pouring the guests will feel uncomfortable and not ask for more than a glass or two and the pour will be much smaller than if the guest was pouring themselves.

Good luck to them with that idea if its true... Having to ask someone to get our Longboards from the back didn't stop us even once!

We've had the feast twice now and both times the two of us couldn't finish even one adult portion.. Do you know what a Childs portion gets you? (Seriously considering just getting one of those for us next time..!)

I don't think the lounge is designed for this--it's a place to sit and relax and enjoy small plates and drinks. It can actually get a little crowded in there, especially between 5 and 7, and that's with people enjoying a small amount of appetizers and maybe a drink. And then again when it's about time for the fireworks. I would not feel comfortable taking up an area large enough for a group of 5 to enjoy the Ohana feast. I think it would really distract from the enjoyment of the other guests in the lounge.
