Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I'm counting down 12 days and soooooooooooo ready to get back to WDW! :D Even though it's just a tiny short trip, Poly CL in July will be here before I know it!

Here's a pic I took on my last trip to start off a great Wednesday!!

Uh oh... a week is a tiny short trip? Then what is my three nighter.... :D

So not sure if this is related by I'm at RPC (Grand Floridian) with celiac. Yesterday at breakfast there were no meats and cheeses and they didn't have the gluten free food for me for me that was requested the previous night. So someone from club level came up and I said so besides eggs there's not much I can eat. (Turned out there was yogurt (but it was a risk having it because there was no indication of if there was anything odd in it), walnuts and fruit.) but I did voice a displeasure in not having meats & cheeses. So this morning, there are meats and cheeses. Heh. And I made a comment about it and one of the staff said it's very temporary. I'm shaking my head a little but I will enjoy it while I'm here.

We're back and exhausted! Wonderful stay at poly CL. I'll post a report soon. I'll try to resize pictures too but they won't upload from my phone.

Yay! Can't wait to read about your trip. Glad you enjoyed Poly CL....we love it and can't wait to be there for July 4. Though I can't stop thinking about RPC!! But I know we need to switch things up to keep the trips different...

I'm glad I waited. I didn't want to stay until it was done. ;)

We should have waited. We went last Feb and were not happy. Too much construction made it difficult to get around ; it was loud early in the morning and it just seemed out of whack. I can't wait to try it now that it is all done but it won't be this year. Enjoy your trip.

Had you informed them that you were gluten free before you arrived? We are traveling to the CR CL with my DDs friend and she is allergic to Dairy - I was going to request almond or soy milk before. In the past we have gotten it but I am wondering if with cutting costs they won't be accommodating.

I did tell them before. Since you need a special milk to be there, make sure to email IPO before. :)

I agree, once you stay RPC, it's hard to not book it again (and again....and again.....). With that said, we are booked for Poly CL in the fall and while I'm very excited to try it, I do sometimes think about switching to RPC :rolleyes1. I'm keeping Poly CL as I love the Poly and have been wanting to try CL, but RPC keeps creeping into my mind :rotfl::rotfl:.

I'll be staying CL at Poly with my niece 11/17 - 11/21. She is 5 and it's her first trip to Disney! Super excited for this special little trip!

How exciting! Both of you will have a great time :goodvibes.

I'm sorry your last Poly visit wasn't great. I hope you are able to get back there soon and that the next time is very magical :wizard:.

I know when we stayed at RPC we saw soy milk out in the morning. That was in November . I would definitely let them know now and remind them closer to your visit as well

The Poly lounge food is not as plentiful as RPC, but we find all the other things at Poly CL make up for it...things like the view from the lounge, the adult Pog juice, the location of Poly CL to the pools, the view of Wishes and water parade right from the Poly beach/pool, the convenience of TTC. Those are the things that keep us going back to Poly CL! There - that helped me forget about RPC for a little while :).

Well, I just got an email for our AKL club level stay that said:

"Because you’re enjoying a Club Level stay, you’ll get to enjoy things like advanced itinerary planning services, personalized Front Desk and Concierge service. It also includes nightly turndown service with chocolates, exclusive access to the Club Level Lounge that offers continental breakfast, beverages and midday snacks, as well as evening wine, cheese, cordials and dessert."

I suspect that text may be generic for all CL stays, then they just plugged my resort info into the rest of the email. I'm going to hold them to those turn down chocolates though!

Interesting. On the WDW website under Room Amenities for Club Level at AKL the Nightly Turn Down service is not listed. Please report back with your experience.

Thanks for this! We love the Poly and while RPC is amazing, every time someone mentions the Poly lounge and view I get excited :goodvibes. My sister and I are planning to take our 4 yo niece in the fall and while she loves the GF (her first trip was to the GF with mom & dad last July), I booked Poly CL with the awesome TA deal. I priced RPC when Disney released discounts and while I'd love to stay there with her, it would cost $1500 more than Poly CL.....just a tad bit more than I'd like to spend :rolleyes1. But I think she'll love the Poly, especially since we plan on some resort/pool time, so popping in/out of the lounge will be convenient.

Thanks again for all of your input :flower3:.

That's good to see! When is your arrival date? We are coming close to our 180 mark and I still haven't received anything from them. Thanks!

We have a club level DVC room booked in November in AKV. Approaching our ADR date (in 10 days). Haven't heard from IPO to help with resies. Should I have already? How do I contact them? Thank you!

Just thought I would share this! I called the AKL IPO today because I had a couple of questions. It bounced to Grand Floridians IPO. I had some questions and he was very helpful. I was asking when I would get my planning e-mail in case I wanted help with ADR's. He said in Theory 200 to 185 days out, I'm at 192. He asked my reservation number and confirmed my e-mail address and said he would shoot AKL CL an e-mail and maybe move it along. Within a half hour I was contacted by the AKL IPO.
