Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Thank you all for your help!! When looking through CL at each of the resorts, can you tell me which allow you to "survey yourself" beer and wine? I saw that (I think!) beach club and yacht club serve it to you? Which ones are self serve? Thanks again!!

I believe most if not all the club lounges are now serving alcoholic beverages to guests.

Hello everyone! We are looking to plan a CL trip for next september/october and are so very excited! I was wondering if there was any information on when the best time to book would be because I know many discounts come out for fall (Late September, early October). Are CL rooms included on these discounts? I am curious to know how to get the best price possible. Do the prices decrease drastically from what the listed price is now? I have no idea what to expect as we have never looked into CL before! Thanks guys!!

I have been a Poly CL "Room Only" discount stalker for the past two falls (early September 2014 and late October 2015). All I can say is, been there, done that, will do it again! Good luck! Sometimes you may have to tinker with dates, view categories, etc, but I've had an acceptable discount both years (I have had to be flexible with Poly theme park view vs garden view).

I know people argue against doing this but I've gotten to where I'll book room only at the rack rate well in advance, and then watch the discounts closely and quickly apply it to my reservation online. Gives me more peace of mind if I really want a certain resort or view category. Yes, I'm one of those people.

CR is self-serve on both CL floors. That's the only one that I know of firsthand.

Yep, I believe they've done that at all the club lounges across property. Too many complaints that the breakfast offerings were all carbs and breads.

Anyone else notice 'meat' at other cl? We'll be at the poly in April and would love it if they offered meats and/or eggs. Kids are carb hounds but I need some protein!!

Poly CL had hard boiled eggs every morning during my last visit (Oct 2015), prior visits had been all carbs and I had to go over to Captain Cooks to find a protein. I'm pretty sure this was the only protein available, unless they have recently changed. It was an awesome addition, at least for me!

We have missed the evening appetizers and desserts several times this week too. We've been so busy it's hard to fit them in! :D Did you guys have the boat driver tonight who was training??? Oh my gosh she hit the dock so hard coming into the GF I thought the boat was going to split in two!!!!! LOL

We didn't take the boat. My DS 12 is obsessed with monorails so he would have no time for a boat. Yikes that doesn't sound fun. LOL

I think all CL serve alcohol (beer, wines and cordials). We are at AKL and they have certain times allotted for each category, however we have been able to get a couple of beers to take to our room. They insist on opening for you though and you have to ask for beer even during "those allotted" times...they are not readily available. Milk, juice and soda are available in the self serve fridge.

We checked into the CR atrium club tonight, and they had someone pouring the wine and champagne for you. They did step away occasionally, and then you were allowed to serve yourself. I did notice he gave good pours and was happy to give me 2 glasses, and asked if I wanted another glass to take to the room when we were leaving. It didn't feel as awkward as I had Been afraid it would, at least tonight. I also noticed that the lounge was much calmer during the appetizer hours than I've ever seen it during 4 stays CL at the Poly. It was almost calm and serene compared to the zoo that the Poly lounge becomes at about 4:55!

I was served at RPC in late Sept and BWI mid November but I don't think it was an issue. I was able to ask for champagne at RPC during the day. And both places had hearty pours without judgment if you wanted it. :) And I saw people asking for beer at various times of the day.

I have a question for CR peeps...Does the 14th floor have regular rooms? It looks like there are 1 or 2 and just wondered if you can be put on that floor.

I requested Tower Club, but they said they are all suites..wonder if that map is old??

We got the large sized toiletries and slippers with our robes:

I forgot to mention at SL they were giving out champagne upon request for do it yourself Mimosas :)

You're welcome! Have fun planning :goodvibes.

I agree. Sometimes dates, room types, etc., have to be tweaked in order to take advantage of a discount on a CL room, but it is possible to get a decent discount :).

So they still have the waffle robes in SL? I'm surprised they haven't upgraded them to the ones in RPC because we had the same ones they have in RPC over at BWI a few weeks ago. We got slippers at BWI too but never used them. We've never had slippers in RPC. Congrats on large sized toiletries:) Oddly enough, we got the large sized toiletries when we asked for extras to be sent to the room at BWI, and they were the ones from GF. A CM once told me that all the suites at the Deluxe resorts get the large sized sea marine/sea salt toiletries. I guess that would explain how we got them:)

Oh, good:). I forgot about your BC portion....Merry Christmas! I was surprised to see the fluffy robes at BWI since we had the waffle robes at BC in June. I hope that means BC will be upgrading their robes soon too:). Enjoy the rest of your trip!
