Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Oh, good:). I forgot about your BC portion....Merry Christmas! I was surprised to see the fluffy robes at BWI since we had the waffle robes at BC in June. I hope that means BC will be upgrading their robes soon too:). Enjoy the rest of your trip!

We did not have large toiletries or slippers at SL. Funny how they are all different.

We had the fluffy robes at GF too.. My daughter loved it so much, I came home and ordered one from the company that supplies them..I even had her initials embroidered

We are looking forward to our fourth Grand Floridian visit and first CL stay at the end of January. One of my kids has significant dietary restrictions (gluten free, dairy free, egg free) that he didn't have prior trips. I'm trying to figure out how to have some treats on hand for him, as I'm guessing most of the foods available in the CL lounge will not work for him. I can pack some home made treats and kind bars. Could I ship some soy ice cream? How would that work? He's been such a trooper through the holidays to stay on track, but eating at Disney will be a whole new challenge and I don't want him to feel left out (like it or not, food is a big thing at WDW!) :) Anyone have experience with this that can share some suggestions?

I only have experience being gluten free. I think he'd be able to have chips for afternoon snack as well as gummie Bears. You can do an order of garden grocer or wego shop For the ice cream and other treats. They did do a plate of desserts for me in the evening. I'm sure they'd be able to do that for your child too. Good luck.

That is helpful! I dislike asking folks to go to extra work for us, so want to do as much as I can myself;)

I will add they didn't seem to mind. The chef John seemed happy to provide me with things. I don't need if they are dairy/egg free, by they had those cinnimin donuts for me too. Plus plain sour cream for dipping my chips. I think it would be okay to ask :)

We haven't stayed CL at GF yet, but we've stayed at many of the other CL resorts and have had wonderful experiences getting alternate foods for my gluten-free/dairy-free daughter. The process has varied slightly from place to place, but at every stay she's had plenty of things to eat. Our best experience by far was the Club Level at BWI. My daughter got full meals sent up from Trattoria al Forno each night we stayed there.

The BWI was amazing to me as well. I got Mickey waffles at breakfast and a huge caprese salad for appetizer night.

I'm pretty sure they deal with food allergies, celiac, etc all the time, so I wouldn't hesitate to ask them to get special stuff for your son! Disney is in the business of making people happy, so why should your son be any different! Please let us know how it works out:)

Ok friends! I know you all can relate to my freak out! I had a trip all planned- with every.single.dining.reservation available for us for my son's free before 3, last trip before we pay for him. Now I think we are moving the trip! The issue would be that we'd have to do 2 weeks away. And we just think that will be too long. We are cruising on the Fantasy in May and we were going to do our Disney portion precruise. I think being gone that long will effect us all. I have 2 businesses and that will be just be hard I think. So now we are moving our world portion to mid-April I think. But the contingencies! Eek! Now I have to do all my dining over. And the hotel. Blah. We will likely stay for a week now instead of 5 nights with the long trip. Our reservation is currently at GF RPC- deluxe King. That worked out in the Fall and might still. But now I'm wondering what will happen if my son isn't sleeping in a crib still. We actually put him in the closet before in the crib. It worked perfectly! But now 2nd guessing that he might not be as willing to sleep in the little room (the closet)... I'm thinking of moving to the Contemporary so we can walk to the MK. And if we do a 1 bedroom at BLT, then we can have separate rooms. But I do LOOOVE club level so I could do that maybe. What do you guys think. My favorite thing about RPC was hearing the music from our bed in our room. I looooooved that. But if my son is in the same room as us we will have his noise maker on and then I won't hear the band. Or if we're in those 2nd floor rooms- which hopefully they wouldn't do to us with a toddler. Ahhhh. Plus I have to find dining again. Input please :)

I personally saw the chef come out and speak with a family in the lounge last week in Sugar Loaf. I think they do their best to provide alternate snacks for people with allergies. :)
As for the restaurants, you couldn't ask for a better place on Earth to travel with food allergies. They go above and beyond. :)

What about AKL Club level? It's not walking distance to MK but you have the animals, the option of multiple bedrooms, and club level?

We saw a women come into the BC lounge with her pj's and slippers on (no robe) to get her coffee while we were there. I thought that one of the cast members should have told her to get dressed before coming into the lounge. This isn't here kitchen!!! What would you do, would ask the cast member to say something or just leave it alone?

What is the best club level, in your opinion?? For those who have stayed, which is the best to you and why!!

You will get a lot of different opinions and probably votes for all clubs, but my favorite is GF RPC (followed very closely by WL CL). With that said, however, we have only tried 3 clubs so far (GF SL in addition to those 2). I love both GF RPC and WL CL for the lounges as both have plenty of seating and provide relaxing atmospheres, the food offerings at both are great (IMO), and the CL CMs at both are amazing! With that said, I am always reading great things about AKL CL (which we are planning to try next year, along with Poly CL).

I would trust the CM's to take care of the situation.

We've tried YC, Contemporary, BWI and AKL. This probably sounds like a wimpy answer  but they are all very nice. Each has something special about the location or the CM's. I don't think you can go wrong with CL at WDW. We often make the decision based on whether we can get a discount.

I think it's a weird thing to do but I can understand that some people have a real need for coffee in the morning so I would probably not say anything.

Now if she sprawled out on a bench and read the paper like that, I might mention it to a CM.

Thanks. We have stayed there for a couple of different trips with my son (not club level, but savanah view over on the DVC property.) Unfortunately, AK CL doesn't have availability for when I would change my dates to :( I will be staying with my original long trip and hope it works out. I book under a specific rate, and apparently there just isn't availability.

Tough for me to answer... We have stayed CL at YC, BC, AKL, GF and Poly, all multiple times. IMHO they all have their plusses and minuses, and special things to offer. We like YC/BC for the proximity to Epcot and DHS, AKL for the animals and theming, Poly for proximity to the MK and the pool, and GF for the ambiance and proximity to the MK.

They serve different food/snacks, have different vibes, etc. But mostly I choose based on which resort we want to stay at. If you are looking for something in particular maybe you can share than and I could recommend one over the other. But really, we have always enjoyed our stays at WDW.
