My kids don't nap anymore but they do need a break in the afternoon. They love to swim. I think I will just do one add a day. We did poly cl a few years back but my kids were younger and didn't eat as much as they do now. But I remember the evening offerings enough to keep us full. I guess if we are still hungry after that we can always get counter service. My son is all grown up now so it's just hubby and I but when my son was younger we always came back to the hotel for some pool time and those scones and a little nap before heading back out to the parks in the evenings. Depending on your children's ages that might work for you as well. unless your really big eaters one ADR a day is probably enough.

I'm all caught up!!!Loved reading about everyone's recent stays, and upcoming trips. I feel like I've barely unpacked from our last trip and I'm already getting close to Christmas.
A little pre-trip report from me. Everything is set to go for next month for our next trip to WDW. We've got lots of plans in place! We'll arrive 12/18 in the early afternoon, take ME to the GF and then hit MK shortly after. I've got MK fastpasses leading up to MVMCP that night. It's the last night of the party, which is exactly what we did last year, so I know it will be crazy busy. But amazing of course!
I'm excited to get back to the GF. The IPO staff has already gone above and beyond for me on several issues.
On 12/19 we've got Epcot fastpasses then tickets to see Star Wars ep.7 at Disney Springs in their big 3D ETX theater. So that should be awesome.
After the movie we've got dinner at the Boathouse. Then 12/20 we'll be going to the special Narcoosee's holiday brunch, which I'm SUPER excited about! The menu looks really delicious. 12/21 is our day at AK. On 12/22 we've got dinner at Crystal Palace
followed by Holiday Wishes fastpasses. Then 12/23 we've got 50's Prime Time dinner followed by the Osborne Lights -last time ever!!!!!!!!!
I'm hoping to get the special passholder tshirt but I bet it will be sold out by then. On 12/24 we move over to the BC CL, can't wait to get back there!
That night, Christmas Eve, we have dinner at BOG, so it isn't the best location but when I made these ADRs back in June I didn't know we'd have a split stay. It will be fine, Christmas Eve is a great time to be at MK anyway, so we'll make it work. On 12/25 we've got the CP dinner package at Teppan Edo so that fits perfect with the BC. I thought the CP would be nice for Christmas Day to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas.
That's about everything in a nutshell. I'm excited!!!!!!!!!![]()
We did a split GF RPC and Four seasons split stay the last week of Sept/first week of October. We crammed the parks into the beginning of the trip and did the relaxing on the back end. I will say if you want to uber to the parks or Disney it's pretty great and like $12 a trip! The FS bus is shared with multiple parks and drops you off at the TTC. I would research all of that to determine if it something you'd really be interested in. But I LOOOOOVED the FS. Looooved it. But not everything was perfect- like having do not disrupt on the door and then they called our room and woke up my son because they saw the DND and wanted to know if we wanted our room cleaned! We were ticked. And it was our cabana day so that meant my husband couldn't come and enjoy time with me while my mom say with my son- we had a whole plan. But besides some house keeping issues, we loved the hotel. If you are a big soda drinker, watch out anywhere on property is $6 for a can or glass! Crazy. But the service is off the charts and the food was soooo good. We didn't eat dinner in the main higher end restaurants but we did brunch, room service, pool food and one at the pool side bar and grill and one at the golf course- that place was gorgeous. I'm celiac (not gluten) and they went above and beyond for me in terms of food. It's a tough decision! Thanks, I'm really torn, love my Disney CL stays but just feel I want something more luxurious but then again will I miss staying onsite properly, I've long enough to decide so will probably do a few resort tweaks until I'm finally decided lol
I'm going this weekend- want me to try and get a shirt and I can ship it to you? I will have to remember to buy it. We go to HS Saturday. You can just paypal me for postage and the shipping. You can PM if so.

Staying AKL CL for the first time next month. Not sure anyone will be able to drag me to the parks! Tell me some of the must-do's while I'm there...
Hey guys! My countdown clock is finally in the single digits and I'm very excited to get back over to the WL CL! I was just wondering if anyone has been there recently and if any new food selections are being offered. We were there last November/Dec. but haven't really heard much talk about WL since other than construction! Any feedback would be great! Thank you!!
Usually what the resorts do is move the lounge temporarily to another location in the resort. The AKL CL IPO is very responsive. You could email them and ask about the plans. We're doing our first CL stay at AKL in January. I noticed that the club lounge is on the refurb list ( http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/rehab.htm#resorts )and will be closed for part of our stay. Does anyone know what they do for alternate arrangements in a situation like this?

We've stayed in Club Level many times as a family, however this will be the first time my wife and I are going to Disney World without our kids (Yay mixed emotions) !
I know that they have beer and wine between 8PM and 10PM, but can you request a beer or glass of wine at any other time?
Congrats! Yep, you can ask for alcohol any time. Just find a CM and request what you like.
Thank you. We are looking forward to it, the kids however are a bit mad at us. This will only be the 2nd time we've gone anywhere without them since we had kids so I don't feel really bad (DD 16 and DD 14) but I still do feel a bit guilty. Going to be at the Yacht Club December 13th - 18th.
Someone posted a review not too long ago. You'd have to scroll back several pages to find it. I believe there have been some food changes. Someone said they aren't putting food on the drink side of the counter anymore, but that seems really hard to believe considering the hot food side is pretty small. I'd love some new photos if you happen to take any!Have a great trip!!
