Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Does anyone know how often they change the menus at the Old Faithful Club? We were hoping to be able to have the evening appetizers as our dinner most of the nights, but I'd like to have an idea of what they are before I made any dinner reservations. Would IPO be able to send us a list? Our trip is Jan 9-13, so not too far away.

And we already booked a return to WL CL - Feb 20 - 25, 2016. I found a great Passholder discount - - 30% - - that is better than the bounce back discount, since it includes the weekends. :)

We really like to get out of the frozen Midwest in the winter. ;) And WL is our favorite place to be when it is cold out. I will miss the Hidden Springs pool, though, due to construction. It was my favorite quiet pool. I hope they bring back the bubbling springs.

Staying AKL CL for the first time next month. Not sure anyone will be able to drag me to the parks! Tell me some of the must-do's while I'm there...

We're doing our first CL stay at AKL in January. I noticed that the club lounge is on the refurb list ( http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/rehab.htm#resorts )and will be closed for part of our stay. Does anyone know what they do for alternate arrangements in a situation like this?

Would one or both of you report back on the club level offerings, especially the evening offerings for children? I am really hoping they bring back some kid friendly items in the evening.

Arrived at the BWI CL & was upgraded to a cottage!!! It's lovely! I'm so excited!!! Makes for more walking but it's still awesome!

Awesome...those always look so cute, and I love those little gardens!

Just curious...did you do online check-in, or have any room requests on your reservation? Just wondering if they upgrade folks when there are room requests such as "close to elevator" or other specific requests....

We did online check in. I didn't make any requests there. But through IPO I requested an Epcot view. So clearly they didn't care about that :)

Oh I just remembered that my first request was king bed. And then I said Epcot view if possible.

I was just there two weeks ago, they had jelly beans, gummy bears, cookies, chips, gold fish, fruit (at all times) and of course juice and milk in the refrigerator.

Can you remember if in the evenings they had anything other than apples for kids. We were surprised this past May that they had taken away the kids offerings. I was hoping it was just temporary since it seems that most other clubs at least offer peanut butter and jelly or something like that in the evening for kids.

At BWI there was cheese cubes and also peanut butter roll up things

Headed back to YC CL in January for a girls trip and we are so excited. Wondering if we should keep the dinning plan or skip it. We have 3 dinner reservations, but they are for fairly inexpensive restaurants (Via Napoli, Teppan Edo, and Rose and Crown).

Depends on what kind of eaters you are. There are some big eaters here on Dis, and quite a few who like to remind us that the snacks 'are not a meal replacement'.

That being said, I consider myself an average eater and drinks and snacks at cocktail hour are plenty for me in the evening. There is no way I could eat a full dinner on top of it. Maybe an app or dessert but not an entree. I like to book lunch as my main meal of the day, go to cocktail hour, and grab an evening snack as needed.

We are the same. We have a big sit-down meal at lunchtime and then often aren't really all that hungry for dinner. If we are, we can always grab something small at the parks and share. We do sometimes go out to dinner, more for the novelty of the place (as in, my DD really wants to go to SciFi and are park plans call for only an evening at DHS), and when we do we tend to share something.

I agree with the posters above me. We normally have our "big" meal of the day during lunch time. The evening appetizers in the lounge are more than enough for us as we just had a large meal beforehand. However, if we're still hungry later on, we just grab a salad from quick serve.

Those 3 dinner reservations you listed -- we usually eat at both Via Napoli and Teppan Edo during the lunch hours. Just thought I'd mention in case that's an option for you.

Hi,

Just booked the CL at the Yacht Club for 1 night (Dec 3-4) . I was tempted by GF ( but the main building CL was $722 inc tax) but today the YC CL became available at $460 inc tax). I am spending the previous 5 nights at the WL CL.

Does anyone have any information on where the YC rehab is at and is there a timeline on what they are doing and when? Planning a trip in May and want to stay club level. Thanks!

The person running the YC/BC thread is doing a great job updating the renovation on page 1 of that thread as info comes out. I would definitely check there and see what's going on. I don't think anything is really known right now except that they are working on the CL lounge at the moment. The BC was renovated from the top down, so if they do the YC the same way then the CL rooms should be finished by the time of your trip, but I don't think we've seen even one room renovated yet.

I Don't remember anything significant. I'm sorry! We were surprised as well :(

OFF TOPIC!!!:offtopic:

Oh my goodness you guys I have to share with you about my night last night!

I went to book club at a new member's home and she has an unbelievable Disney art collection like I have never seen!!!!! Since you all are the only Disney obsessed people I talk to I have to share these photos. :) I even told the lady I was showing these pictures to "my Disney friends" and she laughed and said that was fine.

Here you go:

HOLY COW, RIGHT????????????? :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Plus she said she has five more of these Thomas Kinkade's upstairs (I didn't press my luck and ask for the tour... I'll save that for the next time I'm over) and also dozens of boxes of figurines in her basement she doesn't have room to display.

I honestly didn't know people could even afford these paintings, when I see them in the Art of Disney I think they're just for display! LOL :rotfl:

I can't believe she lives in my town?????!!!!!! I might have to turn over my Disney crown! :faint::faint::faint::faint:
