Have both girls and boys and let me tell you girls cost wayyyyuyy more than boys!
Starting with the fact that they can't wear the same outfit twice!

Love all my kids the same but I always say my life would have so much easier if I had 7 boys instead if 4 boys, 3 girls!

At least designer purses are fun! ;) Have you seen the price tag on gaming computers, videogame consoles, and games? Add in multiple pairs of Beats and gaming headsets, all the controllers and extra cables and components, monthly subscriptions to all the different games sites, xbox money, Steam money, iTunes money. Connor just upgraded his video card in his computer yet again. I swear it takes a fortune to keep them up and running with all their electronics. It's insane. I'd much rather shop at the outlet mall with you guys!! :D
I agree...I'm lucky! I love the outlet mall! But my girls have Beats and Xbox stuff too. But at least their gaming stuff is minimal in comparison to your sons' stuff -lol!!

I can't even begin to imagine the cost of having 7 kids. My two are bleeding me dry! :rotfl:

i have one of each! dd with her lilly pulitzer, etc and ds with all the gaming stuff.

I have to admit i love to shop in Japan too! All those colorful bagged candies get to me! So cute!!!

I just read on tikiman's page that all first floor rooms in Samoa have had their sliding patio doors locked. They are unable to open them due to quiet pool construction. I'm wondering if this is happening in Hawaii building too?? Anyone there now??

So I am back!

I don't want to be negative, but feel it is only fair to say..for my DD and I, we didn't feel Poly CL was very good. I would have rather had a TPV in a regular room.
To be fair, we stayed at GF CL in February and BC CL in May..so maybe we are spoiled. The offerings just were "Eh" and breakfast was only bagels, Croissants, small muffins, oatmeal and cereal. GF and BC both offer meats and cheeses in the AM.

The staff is great and better than we experienced at BC for the CL desk, but the Poly had this one CM that was there each day and it seemed she wasn't happy that you were there, eating in her area.

We had Room 1503 which had a fantastic view and we could see the castle between the bungalows but the people above us apparently had an elephant in their room every night about midnight till 2 am! I swear they were moving furniture.

The pool really needs to have the same thing as SAB where they check your MB and give you a bracelet because people were there that were not guests ( we saw them walk through an open gate and looked like they had all their belongings with them) and when another guest and I reported them, we were told "hmm..we will let a manager know" and nothing was done all day.

Towels on chairs is rampant, but I did notice on Monday, they were going and picking up towels without any personal belongings left at the chairs.

The east pool closing really didn't hurt our stay..Yesterday it was noisy with the beeping of the lifts, but not terrible.

I would recommend anyone in Hawaii, get a room with LV or TPV like we had..it was very busy and not pretty looking South toward the pool.

ETA - I was surprised the room looked a bit worn. There were lights burned out in the bathroom that they replaced right away, but the fridge cabinet door was broken and the bathroom wallpaper had been scrubbed so hard the print had worn off.
Lots of small things that I noticed because I am in construction..plugs not working, clock set to the totally wrong time ( i looked up the manual online and removed the plate to correct )

Thank you so much for your report! This is really valuable information for others and I'm sorry your stay was less than magical. I was tempted to try it this summer but the construction made me nervous. Now I'm glad I didn't. But it's sad to hear the food offerings have gotten even worse. Two years ago when we were there last I noticed a major decline, sounds like that has continued to fall. Major bummer!!! :(

yeah..I mean, it's Disney..better than a day at work but the monorail had issues being down a few times in the middle of the day and the CM's lack of caring about the pool issues.

I also got stuck one day..I was using a scooter because of my foot surgery and came out of Hawaii heading toward the TTC and was blocked by a truck. Tried to turn around and go back but another lift was blocking. A Disney Construction CM came over and walked me through the closed East Pool, but being in construction, it is a MAJOR no-no to start bringing trucks into pedestrian areas until you have set your barricades.

Aww sorry to hear about your trip! 1503 was indeed the exact room we had -- I could tell it was by your earlier description. I was also saddened by the room decline. We had that room right after it was refurbed so it was brand new and awesome! Then exactly a year later, we were so surprised so see the wear and tear. So sad. Now this time we really noticed it. But we LOVE the view so much.....it just adds so much extra fun to our trip.

I don't understand why they don't address the pool issues! I posted here a couple weeks ago after we got back about this. I don't understand why a CM doesn't patrol with a laptop and give out wristbands. It's so unfortunate. I still haven't done my email feedback and I do plan to address it. Hopefully you will too, along with others, and maybe they'll patrol the pool better.

BC also spoiled us with the food, especially breakfast. I was hoping Poly would follow suit and make some changes/additions. Hopefully they're considering it!

My DH booked the GF RPC for the wrong dates last October, so we had to stay at Poly for a couple of days before our GF stay. As much as I love the view from the lounge, the food was a huge disappointment. I thought maybe they would have made improvements in the food offerings since then (since they did at BC). :( That's really disappointing. It sounds like BWI has improved things, and I hope it continues since we decided to give it a try in December. You are right that Disney is always fun, but I'm sorry your trip wasn't as magical as it could have been. That is why my DH is so nervous every time we stray from RPC...fear of disappointment. I hope you still created some good memories:)

This is what I'm concerned about, since I'll be in a scooter too. I'm bringing my rolling walker with me too, but most days I'll be in the scooter. I keep wondering how the construction will impact the pathways and trying to maneuver around them.

Thank you for the menu offer. It's just we've never done CL before and have no idea what to expect and wondering if we need an ADR for dinner those nights.

I haven't received an email from the concierge yet. Should I email them?

Also last I looked we weren't on the first page yet.
October 2-4 BWI

The poly CL was a huge disappointment for us too. We must have had the one CM that felt put out when ever we asked for a beer. She was obviously doing us a favor! The food I had heard rave reviews about was laughable. Goldfish and gummy worms for snacks? Nothing for adults. We were thankful we didn't need to snack there. The only good thing was the theme park view room but since it was on first level our chairs would get stolen from people wanting to watch fireworks! We had to call to housekeeping to find some chairs so WE could enjoy them. I love love LOVE the poly but you can have the CL there
