Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

It's been a year since we had a surprising and truly wonderful stay at the BC CL (a previous stay was not so great) and we are considering staying there again. I know that IPO is gone (with sig. services taking their place.) Anyone know if there have been any other changes in terms of food, lounge, texting service since last spring?
I hope not!! BC CL is awesome!!!
Hey mmm..good to "see" you..
Pas..Thanks so much for your detailed review! :goodvibes:thumbsup2
You are welcome my Grand Groupie and Boardwalk Babe buddy
Disappointing to hear about the food. I thought it would be similar to BC, which has been getting great reviews. You would think that they would try a little harder as people are staying there during construction.
I totally agree! And I was hopeful with other people reviews that we would have better snacks, but I had a similar experience at RPC. I will say that Signature Services was amazing with all of our pre-planning, and we did get our room requests :D

Hi there .....glad to "see" you back on the boards :).

We haven't stayed BC CL, but I have been reading positive things about it lately. Hopefully others who have stayed recently will post about their experience. Have fun planning and hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Thanks for your review. Glad you had a great time :goodvibes.
BC CL is one of my faves!! And always glad to "see" you too!!!

I agree. Reports from all other hotel club lounges are talking about improved food offerings & the YC still has the same tired foods? Thy usually have almost the same things as BC so I am surprised offerings haven't improved.

And no CMs early in the morning? Totally unacceptable. They have no place for you to leave dirty dishes so someone better be bussing the tables at all times. We are 40 days away from our stay, hope things are better by then.
Fortunately, this was only early in the morning and it wasn't super crowded. I ended up putting all of our dishes on another table with dirty dishes so others could have a spot if needed. The next morning there were 2-3 CMs bussing the tables and replenishing coffee and food :) I was surprised, because from what I remembered the offerings in December were much like BC CL. The chef was doing tastings of possible new food offerings, and it was cheeseburger bites (which were just okay). She did say that she has no input on the offerings chosen, which is a shame. You will have a great stay! And yay for 40 days!!

I completely agree! We are 43 days out from arrival, and I can say walking in the cl lounge and there being dishes all over the the tables unbussed, would likely aggravate me. And it would be nice if they stepped up their food offerings if they're slacking. It's a huge part of what we are paying for.
That's why I posted, because I am not one to really expect much but I've been so spoiled by awesome CL stays. I felt the need to post, because DH and I constantly overheard guests saying "it's the same thing again", or "there's not much to choose from". I can only assume some are repeat guests. I love CL, but honestly by day 3 I questioned why I booked CL. The positive spin is that the rooms and lounge are lovely. The pool, the location, all of it AMAZING! It may have been an "off" weekend for YC, and I am sure it wouldn't have been a biggie if I hadn't of just stayed there in December and noticed the decline in food (It's all about the food ;) )

I recommended YC CL to a relative who will be staying there soon. I hope they are not disappointed.
I think for guests who've never stayed there wouldn't notice the slim picking, I think your relative will have a wonderful stay. It is such a nice resort! It's also nice that it isn't super busy in the lounge (even on Spring Break)

Thanks for your review!:)
You're welcome!! Any luck with booking Hard Rock CL?? And did you see I am finally trying Poly CL (subject to change :) )

I was so happy, DH was teasing me. He was jealous since they didn't fit him LOL

Has anyone been able to use the new "Summer Expedition" discount on any of the CL rooms?

I just booked BC CL LV for 8/30 to 9/10 yesterday. I received a call from DSS this morning, about 24 hours after booking. I already booked dining a week ago but I am glad they reached out as I wanted to give them room requests and request the West Wing for BOG.

My daughter got accepted to the Disney College Program while we were in Disney a few weeks ago so we are going back to move her in and get her settled. She and I will be driving down so that she will have her car and then I will fly home.

Is anyone else past their 180 day mark and not heard a peep from DSS? I know some of y'all contacted them first, so I'm curious what their contact rate has been so far for those of us who haven't initiated a dialogue with them.
,
We are somewhere in the 170 day Mark and no contact. I had planned on doing my own dining anyway.

As for half of the seventh floor at WL being DVC and not CL. This is kind of annoying to take the rooms out of CL inventory. I wouldn't want to pay for CL and be on a different floor. I know the deluxe rooms always were and that would be reason I would never consider them. I guess we shall just wait and see how they work it all out. I am a little nervous about our Sept stay. But hey, I'm going to Disney World right?:-)

I applied it to an existing reservation at GF. I was very surprised that it was applied to our main building deluxe room with no problems.

I have a split CL stay coming up in May. On Sat I received a call from DSS for the 2nd part of our stay - which is YC 5/24-29th. I have not received any call for the Poly stay which is May 20-24th

I do all on my own so it does not matter - but I did add a request for a bathtub:D

We have an existing reservation at Poly CL for June19-26th. Did you just call and ask for the discount for the existing reservation?

Called this morning and asked to apply the new discount to the existing reservation. I was very surprised because of how few queen deluxe RPC rooms there are I did not think it would work. It did not seem like she rebooked but rather applied the discount. YMMV.

Hi CL peeps,

I just returned home from a weekend away with hubby, and wanted to share some quick thoughts (before I forget). We stayed 3/23-26 at YC SV CL, and we were extremely pleased with our room! We were assigned room 5174, King bed with a sofa. And the room seemed so large without having 2 Queens. I loved the décor so much more than I thought I would. DH enjoyed the view of the bus stop (he's so funny). No construction noise with the exception of down in the gift shop.

Room:
3 doors from the lounge YAY (but this was also noisy too, as a mom to 5 kiddos it is nothing I can't sleep through)
The addition of sliding doors for the bathroom and toilet area was great, no more banging your knees trying to get in and out of the bathroom
The lighted closets are a nice touch
Robes AND slippers :)
Turndown included a large bottle of Dasani water and chocolates (the water may have been there when we checked in..but I do know we received a new one nightly
The room was not the cleanest when we got there; closets and tables a little dusty, and wet pillowcases were on the floor in the sink area (I think they were pillowcases).
Toiletries were the large Sea Marine ones, with solar gel, mouthwash and q-tips

CMs:
There were many new CMs since our stay in December, two young ladies said they started 3 weeks ago. Three were familiar faces and very sweet. One morning (it was 730ish) there were ZERO CMs in the lounge, so fortunately it wasn't busy since no one was busing the tables and it was a mess. This was not the case later in the morning, in the evenings or at dessert time, it was definitely better staffed.

Lounge:
It was never crowded in the lounge, perhaps based on construction? It was very nice to see so many families with babies and little ones, as usually I notice more adults (based on conventions I suppose).
Food was basically unchanged all four days, and the evening snacks were "meh". Chicken skewers every night I think, and the second hot app (yes only two) was pigs in a blanket or mac and cheese bites. Where did my Grapefruit Bier go (insert sobs...)

We had a FAB stay, but I wanted to give my review on the CL aspect. This is our third and last YC CL stay, we would definitely stay YC again just not CL. BC and BWI win it on the Epcot side for CL offerings, again JMHO. We did get the AP discount so it was a great deal, and the location can't be beat!! Thanks for listening. Our next stop on the CL train is August, booked on a Bounceback at the Poly in the 2 bedroom Princess Suite (for now). Thanks for listening and happy planning friends!
Enjoyed the review!

Wait. Are we supposed to get a call from Concierge Services? I'm 40 days out from my CL trip at AKV and haven't gotten a call.

Signature Services is a newly formed department...and they have been reaching out to people with upcoming CL stays..but..seems there is no rhyme or reason as to who gets called..and who doesn't...you can simply contact them since you've not yet heard from them...we have found them to very helpful!

Yes! I actually changed my dates from our spring break to August and was able to book HRH CL.:cool1: Now it is just a mom/teen boys trip. My daughter just had the big trip to WDW in Jan so it's their turn:thumbsup2

Yay on Poly CL....Best trip ever!!:dancer:

That is so exciting!!

@pas130 - Thank you for the YC review! Those rooms sound nice! What's up with the food though? Boo. Not clearing the tables has consistently been one of my bigger gripes in my CL travels. If you're not going to put a place to bus my own table (which I'm totally happy to do), then you better staff it appropriately to clean up tables quickly. It was the same at RPC last Feb - tables would be left dirty forever, especially breakfast. I've had similar issues at Atrium and Poly, but at least at Poly you can bus your own so that tends to help with clean table availability.

Do you happen to recall what beers they had out at YC? I really liked having the grapefruit beer at BC CL the one night I stayed there last summer; I'd be bummed if they don't have that anymore.

It's been 24 hours since your post, have you changed your Poly reservation yet? :duck:

@HBGdancermom - I see what you're doing there with taking your kids separately. That's double vacations for you! Actually I'm in the same camp... I have a lot of making up to do with DD when she's older. It's only fair I treat her to the same Disney adventures, right? :rolleyes1

In other news, I haven't looked at all of the CLs, but summer discounts seem to be relatively uninspiring. 15% at Poly, yawn. Maybe the APs will be more attractive?

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Thanks for sharing some of the pixie dust you saw at the GF CL. I hope it was great. How did the food offerings compare to what you have seen before & elsewhere?
Sorry I have been so busy getting caught back up at work. I will post my review with pix soon. My last day I talked with a manager and that day the chef started new menus. I definitely preferred the offerings that night bs the the 2 nights prior.

Enjoyed the review!

I am thrilled for you! AND it's only fair. We will be there 8/4-11 and I hope you love it as much as the Pas clan (and I love Poly CL as much as you :) )

My saddest realization was that there was no Grapefruit Bier this stay :( I did buy one at Germany though. There was Longboard, an IPA (forgot the name), Bud Light and Yuengling.

I AM STILL BOOKED AT THE POLY 2 BEDROOM PRINCESS SUITE! A new record ;)
