Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hi CL peeps,

I just returned home from a weekend away with hubby, and wanted to share some quick thoughts (before I forget). We stayed 3/23-26 at YC SV CL, and we were extremely pleased with our room! We were assigned room 5174, King bed with a sofa. And the room seemed so large without having 2 Queens. I loved the décor so much more than I thought I would. DH enjoyed the view of the bus stop (he's so funny). No construction noise with the exception of down in the gift shop.

Room:
3 doors from the lounge YAY (but this was also noisy too, as a mom to 5 kiddos it is nothing I can't sleep through)
The addition of sliding doors for the bathroom and toilet area was great, no more banging your knees trying to get in and out of the bathroom
The lighted closets are a nice touch
Robes AND slippers :)
Turndown included a large bottle of Dasani water and chocolates (the water may have been there when we checked in..but I do know we received a new one nightly
The room was not the cleanest when we got there; closets and tables a little dusty, and wet pillowcases were on the floor in the sink area (I think they were pillowcases).
Toiletries were the large Sea Marine ones, with solar gel, mouthwash and q-tips

CMs:
There were many new CMs since our stay in December, two young ladies said they started 3 weeks ago. Three were familiar faces and very sweet. One morning (it was 730ish) there were ZERO CMs in the lounge, so fortunately it wasn't busy since no one was busing the tables and it was a mess. This was not the case later in the morning, in the evenings or at dessert time, it was definitely better staffed.

Lounge:
It was never crowded in the lounge, perhaps based on construction? It was very nice to see so many families with babies and little ones, as usually I notice more adults (based on conventions I suppose).
Food was basically unchanged all four days, and the evening snacks were "meh". Chicken skewers every night I think, and the second hot app (yes only two) was pigs in a blanket or mac and cheese bites. Where did my Grapefruit Bier go (insert sobs...)

We had a FAB stay, but I wanted to give my review on the CL aspect. This is our third and last YC CL stay, we would definitely stay YC again just not CL. BC and BWI win it on the Epcot side for CL offerings, again JMHO. We did get the AP discount so it was a great deal, and the location can't be beat!! Thanks for listening. Our next stop on the CL train is August, booked on a Bounceback at the Poly in the 2 bedroom Princess Suite (for now). Thanks for listening and happy planning friends!
I know what you mean about those skewers lol. I was surprised they were at gf in sl but then the chef made many changes and one was the removal of those guys!

I will post new menu I had and pix soon I hope!

We love the king rooms for space too!

The arrival:

I didn't notice we got the room ready text because I checked as we got off the bus but when I tried to check in at the lobby she asked if I got it and there it was! She confirmed we requested a king for our mom and daughter trip and I said yes( like @pas130 we like extra floor space).

We arrived 8 hours early by going standby and we were so so happy! We ran to the lounge for birthday champagne ( dds actual 22nd ) and scones.

While she was getting her scones I ran to our room 6122. First floor room one away from the deluxe /bump out room. I knew it would be the first down the hall so easy to get to lounge. Above is that room ! From the patio was a lovely view of a wall and if that wasn't bad enough there was a tree too. As @blue-skies reminded me, there would be noise from the carts all day too. So I went to cl cm desk and asked for a change.

Ah a wall view....but scones and champagne are the best birthday treats EVER!!! I know your next room will be an improvement!!

Now that's what I'm talking about! woohoo ! That's a view to make a birthday special:)

This is new: they have the coffee set up on the desk. Water was there but we grabbed water from the lounge so we didn't need it. The toiletries were also the larger ones. The next day the foot scrub and solar gel were included too.

We had such a lovely view from the bed we left the curtains open even in bed at night. It was so so pretty all lit up. The pool was all blue and sparkly!

So I can now say I have had the worst room in RPC the tree room 4201 deluxe king and the wall room in SL 6122!

More on 6314, the room was above the lobby doors. It is near the elevator. We had no noise!

Our maid also let us stay late in the room on check out day. Told us take our time. Dd asked her that morning and asked me to leave a nice tip. Then later when we were having scones before our ME dd got up from the table and left for a min and came back. I asked her where she went and she said she saw our maid and wanted to thank her again and say goodbye . Hmmm she must be learning manners on these trips

How did I miss this review!?!?! Glad you enjoyed YC. It's one of our favorites.

It has been 3 years since our last CL stay and after Poly CL this summer, it may be a little while longer, LOL. I'm splurging for our anniversary, (for DH), but will try to avoid that in the future, LOL.

BC CL is one of my faves!! And always glad to "see" you too!!!

:goodvibes

I was able to get a 15% discount for WLCL for July - Not much but at least it is something.

Glad you were able to get a discount. I agree 15% isn't much, but every little bit helps. Hope you have a great time and enjoy WL CL :).

Here now at AKL CL, happy to answer any questions!

Hope you're having a great time :wizard:.

I was thinking that about your worst rooms at the Grand, the tree room at RPC yep that's "our" room. DD is learning her kindness and compassion from her Mom!

We also had the large Dasani bottles left in our room at YC CL and the good toiletries WIN!!! DD9 used the shampoo this morning and now smells like the Grand :)

I LOVE that your DH loves CL, and your girls get their cookies...plus your son needs to experience it. I can't wait to try the Tonga building, I hope hubby loves it. 119 days until our next trip, c'mon summer

4201 at the Grand! Yep, we've stayed in that room too. Not only do you have the tree view, it is also the absolute furthest from the lounge. So fun when you're trying to get back to the room with a treat & drink.

I'm so mad that we are going to miss each other...again....

I think CL will be so much better for DS, because stuff like yogurt, milk, fruit, etc...will be readily available to him. It's all about convenience at this stage of the game. And yes, the girls absolutely love it. :rotfl:

I would like some opinions. If you ever have a problem with your room while staying CL, is it better to speak with the CL CM's or the front desk. I know calling from the room gets you an offsite call center which is not the best way to get a quick response.

Hi All! Quick question, at the GF CL (Sugar Loaf) do they give you bottled water or do you have to purchase it?
Thanks!!

Any issue I have had while staying CL, I just go to the CL desk (as long as it's during the regular hours).

My apologies in advance for asking this question again.
Can someone tell me the page number or let me know the current evening offerings at BWI?
Last time I asked, club level was going to be a surprise. Now that the cats out of the bag my husband is very curious. I tried looking for them last night but after well over an hour, I gave up.
Thank you so so much!!

Always, always, always go to the CL desk for any problem. If for some crazy reason they are unable or unwilling to help you, go to the front desk and ask to speak to the manager on duty. 9.9 times out of 10, the CL CMs will be happy to help.

I have 'inquired' about moving rooms twice in my travels. Both times I went to the CL desk, both times they called someone, presumably the room assignors wherever they are located (or maybe they were calling someone at the real front desk?).

I would go to the CL CMs before the front desk.

I agree to go to the CL desk :).

Hi everyone,
Any room recommendations for RPC theme park view?
Thanks

I can't help with RPC TPV as we've never had TPV, but hopefully others will be able to help :flower3:.

Thank you so so much!!

It seems someone just posted about BWI CL offerings within the last couple of days, so it shouldn't be too far back (but I'm not sure just what page). If I can locate it, I'll post it; otherwise, hopefully others will be able to help ;).
