No pics of the newly refurbed AKL CL?! What?!

Hope everyone doesn't have to wait until I get there in 9 days for a peek!

Just returned from SL at the GF. Loved the resort but cutbacks were very apparent in CL. Still had a great time. I posted a mini review a few days ago. Let me know if there are any questions.

Thanks so much!! The more I keep looking up stuff on the Beach Club, the more I'm happy with the pick! im thinking we could save the Poly for my birthday next year! We showed the kids videos of the pool at BC and they went nuts!!! I think BC it is this year!!!!!!

I think Poly next year for your birthday is a great idea! We enjoyed our BC stay (although it wasn't CL) and while the Poly is our favorite of the two, the BC is a nice resort .

Not one CL CM ever engaged in any conversation with us. No extra pixie dust or asking how our stay was.

This is the same experience I had in SL. The CMs seemed to just to do their jobs without much interaction with guests. With that said, I can only compare SL to 2 other CLs (RPC & WL CL) and SL was nothing like those other stays. RPC and WL CL CMs were always asking how our stay was and were constantly asking if there was anything we needed, just totally different experiences.

Well I pretty much failed at getting lounge pictures today. The lounge was pretty crowded all day and I felt weird taking pictures of strangers sitting in the lounge. The CM at check-in said they were at 100% capacity. I will describe the lounge and try to get some pictures tomorrow. If you are familiar with where the drinks used to be- that is seating now. There are a couple of tables in that area and a long wooden bar type of table with two stools. The counter where the food is has been extended all the way where the chef used to be and the drinks are now at the end right by the big television. The kid area is gone. There is more seating back in that area now. The chef was preparing hot apps on the left side of the tv right before you get to where the old kid section was. I am sorry to see all the kid things go for AKL club level but the additional seating is a plus. Tonight the hot apps were falafel and African stew. Then the standard cheese, hummus and veggies.

We were not greeted outside by anyone to take us up to club level. However when I went to check in the CM said oh you have club level access let me walk you up there. He took us upstairs and had us get drinks while we waited for a Club CM to be available. I was happy with check in. Sam check us in and was very accommodating and made sure everything was perfect. We also had turn down service without requesting. So far we are happy.

Glad you're having a good time! No worries on the pics, sometimes there are just too many people around...lol. Hope you have a great time for the remainder of your trip .

We will be at the Poly CL for the first time over Thanksgiving Nov. 19 - Nov 26. I know it will be busy, but I still hope it will be fun.

You are going to love the Poly! Yes, it will be busy over Thanksgiving, but I'm sure you'll still have a great time!

Just booked Yacht Club (CL) for a short trip before Thanksgiving. Have only stayed at AKL (CL) before and I LOVED it. I am having mixed feelings about a different resort, but this one is my husbands choice (we had a few non magical experiences at AKL last year). I know there is a room refurb starting in August, so I am hoping we may get a "new" room in November. Is there anything I should know that makes this club level different than AKL?

Snacks today were goldfish, jelly beans, Carmel popcorn, jelly beans, kettle chips, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, granola bars, spiced nuts and trail mix. There is always whole fruit out. A variety of cans of pop. Apple juice bottles. Milk is upon request which is different than our previous trips. Lemonade, Jungle Juice and water is the dispensers. Coffee and tea too.

We had turn down service again tonight without asking. Lounge has been great. The additional seating is a huge plus. Even at 100% capacity we have never had a problem getting a seat. Tonight there was a seafood stew and a Moroccan meatball. There has been lots of food and the CMs quick to refill. I did notice that they are not stocking the pop in the frig as much. About 6 cans of each kind which they pretty much let it run out before they add more. The CMs have been very friendly. Chatting with guests in the lounge, making sure everyone as happy etc. So far we could not ask for a better trip.

They were when we were there in January. I really do prefer self-service. A certain CM was very talkative and I had to stand there waiting while she chit-chatted away with certain people.

We were there in February and it was self serve...weird
