Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Good morning! ☀️
Due to a DCL Destiny Concierge trip 🚢 booked next spring, we are trying a more cost-efficient Gran Destino/ CSR CL trip this spring (instead of our normal GF RPC CL).
Thoughts on how enjoyable CSR CL is compared to Deluxe Resort CLs?
TIA!!!!
I can't compare - as CSR CL is the only CL we've stayed at - but I could rave for days about how much my family has loved our two stays there.
Their lounge is the only one at Disney purposefully built as a club level lounge, and it shows. Gorgeous views of Hollywood Studios and also a view of Epcot fireworks, it's a great space. The staff has been top notch. It is welcoming to families/kids, they have a toy chest of toys plus lots of board games, books, etc.
My impression is the food offerings are not quite as widespread as the offerings at the true deluxe CLs, but the food comes out of Toledo, which is a fabulous restaurant and I think it holds its own. Other than that I believe offerings to be pretty comparable to any other CL.
If you are lucky enough to get a room on the same floor, it's insanely convenient. You may not, but you can certainly request it.

If you have any specific questions about what they may or may not have, feel free to ask! We were just there in November.

@kdka421 , thank you so much, I appreciate your taking the time to reply! Glad to hear you had such a wonderful experience.

We are getting ready for our first CL stay at WL! We'll be there in about 10 days. Just my husband and I this time. We've stayed CL at BC, AKL, and GF. We can't wait to try it out. It's just a one-night stay before a Royal Caribbean cruise. But we'll get there early in the day and it's a resort-only stay. We may grab a drink at Geyser Point and take the monorail around to some of the resorts. Or we may just spend a lazy day at the WL.

I wish I could book one of those, but the one bed and no couch setup doesn’t work for us
Yeah, I have only booked for solo trips or trips with DH. That is the one drawback, the limited capacity.

We stayed there short after opening, before Covid, that's was a long time ago. We expected a “lower quality” trip but we were upgraded to a Suite for our 14-days stay, the closest to the lounge, and so far offerings were stellar.

Nowadays every CL has been more or less standardized, so I believe this CL would be of the same quality than the others. I've seen recent videos showing that they still offer food offerings from Toledo's, and there's still Perrier in the fridge (which is a huge improvement compared to the “sparkling” drink machine).

Curious about the views from those who were here, and at the other CLs, but to me it still looks genuinely a “deluxe CL”.
(On an unrelated note, maybe the issue is that “deluxe” is not what is used to be…)

A long but interesting read about things out west. :scratchin

Thanks for sharing the link. My wife just woke me up with these pictures this morning.

The architecture of these lounges look stunning.

I am a little anxious about the E-Ticket Lounge as it is my most favorite lounge at DLR (and probably, of all Disney club lounges).

I am puzzled about their intention with the split-lounge design. I expect they might offer two separate categories of Club rooms and depending what you pay for, you can access one of the lounge but not the other. For reference, that's exactly what they ended up at Disneyland Paris after they remodeled the Disneyland Hotel to add a second lounge.

@cwis , thanks so much for weighing in! Yes, we certainly experienced this delightful ‘standardization’ of CL. However, it sounds like you had an amazing trip, especially with an upgrade to a suite, so glad to hear!!!

I don’t think they had a choice. There are numerous rooms accessed between the current lounge and where they are building lounge 2. Looking back on an old video it seems they’re taking advantage of space that doesn’t really hold much of anything right now besides a hallway and air to create this new lounge. This thing is going to be killer come Xmas!! One of the saddest parts of a Xmas stay at GCH CL is missing out on the tree view/atmosphere when you enter the lounge.

They would have had to take out way too many rooms if they re-did/expanded the old one and would still have the problem of it’s very sad view with limited natural light as they wouldn’t be able to do the lobby overlook with large windows due to room access being needed.

Intrigued to see if they are run separately too.

I am hoping some of the experts here can give me some insight on the following question: how does the club level at DL Grand California compare to the club level experiences at WDW?

The family and I are planning our first ever DL trip for later this year. I have tons of questions that I am sure I will post on the Board later. But first question for us is deciding where to stay. My partner really wants this resort, so we are staying at Grand California. But we are undecided about whether to splurge for the club level. At WDW, we get club level rooms about 80% of the time. So, what are your opinions of the club level at DL and how does it compare to the club levels at WDW? Thanks!

Not what you asked but… You couldn’t pay me to stay GCH this year after this week’s announcements of the second club being built overlooking the lobby and the soft-goods remodel for hotel & DVC side. This is a map of where the second club is going, I don’t see how this doesn’t interrupt the feeling of the hotel with the top 2 stories of the lobby under massive construction. They are turning a large outdoor patio into a 2 story club overlooking the lobby. Completion is sometime in 2026.

Here is the article in case you missed the news altogether. For DL, DLH CL is going to be the place to stay starting this summer with its brand new club.

We are staying club level at boardwalk in September for our 30 year anniversary. What should I expect in terms of food. Like what type and is there anything that I should not miss out on?

Having stayed there a few times, I wouldn't say there is anything that is a can't miss offering. The staff is great. They make fun drinks. For the little kids (or older kids at heart), the ability to make a little goodie bag of candies during the evening dessert service is fun. But overall, the food offerings are solid, but nothing spectacular or special

I love the Boardwalk club level; it's my favorite of the ones I've tried. I am staying at the Yacht Club club level this year because the Boardwalk didn't have any openings. The cast members are wonderful there! On nights when I didn't feel like going out to dinner I thought their late afternoon selections to be more than enough. Have a great time!

We're long time BWI CL fans. Once a year, first week of December. Due to hip replacements 6 weeks apart, starting in November, we had to move our December trip to February. We check in Tuesday! Deluxe room. The food and drinks are fine...but it's the staff that really makes the BWI CL worth every penny. If you don't see something, just ask and they will find it. Being newly refurbished, it's really clean and bright. You can't go wrong...I truly believe it's the best CL on Disney property.

Can anyone speak to noise level of the CSR Gran Destino CL deluxe suites (they look to be close to elevators)?
Trying to decide if we want to switch to this room category.
Thank you so much in advance!!!

We were by the elevators our last 2 trips and honestly, we were not bothered at all. You’ll hear the elevator chime if it’s quiet and occasionally people talking coming off, but the amount of people on the CL floor during our past stays were minimal. Never an issue. Enjoy!
