Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

There really isn't a bad location in RPC in my opinion. I'm sure you will love it.

I agree :goodvibes.

or the "bank" on the other side of the atrium facing towards the Poly/kids splash pad/other pool.

This is my favorite view! I think the courtyard views are nice, but I loved sitting on the balcony early in the morning and late at night looking out over the lagoon with the Poly in the distance :cloud9:.

The AKL Club level rooms are savanna view.

:thumbsup2

Hi all
We are staying AKL club in Oct in a standard room.
Does anyone know if this is a savanna view room?
The standard view room ( non club) are roof/ car park view and the club room are called 'standard rooms' ( not standard view) so hoping that doesn't mean a car park view?
They don't seem to list the club rooms as Savana view except for the 1 bed room suits.
Any reassurance would be great!
Thanks

I booked a regular CL room there for July, and it is listed on the reservation as:
Savanna View-Club Level Access

At some point, Disney started using the above on their booking page. I'm glad they did. It makes better sense than how they used to list the AKL Standard CL rooms. :flower1:

Can anyone tell me how the CL lounge will work with a child that technically needs a high chair? We are staying CR atrium CL in May and will have our 18month old with us. He will not really sit on a lap and I don't think I ever noticed anything of the high chair variety in any photos. We've only stayed in BWI CL and our daughter at the time could sit in the regular chairs just fine.

He does love what we call "walking around food" as in he'll eat almost anything if you let him walk around while eating, but I also don't want to have to pack my dyson DustBuster and chase him with it so as to not be destroying the lounge for the CM's and other guests.

I asked my husband if I should buy one of those collapsible, portable seats for him but husband doesn't think it's necessary.

WL has high chairs in the Old Faithful Club.

Ours is listed as Standard Cl room hence the panic!! Thanks all

You are very welcome. I was pretty sure that was what had happened. The old description wasn't very...descriptive. I hope you have a wonderful stay! :goodvibes

I was glad they changed this. Now people will know they have the savannah view guarantee and that the rooms are not on the same floor as the lounge. Those are always two points of concern.

A month or so ago I asked advice on room location / requests for GF RPC standard view rooms. Despite the tons of info here and on the GF thread I was still a bit confused with the different room types, layout of the building, turret rooms, etc. Hopefully the info below is helpful to those looking to stay at RPC. FWIW, the two requests I submitted were "upper floor" and "close to the lounge." I was given Room 4418, three doors "down" from the lounge. I very much enjoyed this room, the view, and location.

Here's the floor plan from the back of the door. The red dot was our room.

If only I could keep the room this clean after unpacking...

View to the right. You can see the top of the Spaceship Earth (Epcot) in the distance....

View looking straight ahead towards the courtyard pool....

View to the left. You can see Space Mountain and the main entrance (hard to see in the photo). If you look closely the very tippy top spear of the castle is that little line right next to the tallest Sugar Loaf turret. I could hear the MK opening show in the mornings.

And the similar view at night. Not too bad in my book for a "standard" view.

And finally, my morning view....

Love! So happy to see this as I had requested that exact room hoping to see a bit of the fireworks. Hopefully we can get that one or one close to it. Thanks for sharing!

All the RPC pics and reviews prompted me to make a change. I know, I know, shock and awe :) Despite a wonderful stay at SL and a less than magical RPC stay, the summer AP rate swayed me...
So 7/28-31 2 RPC Standard rooms
7/31-8/5 BWI CL 2 rooms (with bounceback rate)

If I can ask, what was less than magical about your RPC stay? I'm just curious having now experienced RPC. I've had magical vs. just so so trips - I get it, it happens.

A series of unfortunate events. Mind you I did have very high expectations since this was my "bucket list" stay. Worst Deluxe King room possible (I think), indifferent CMs, one downright rude one in the lounge. I have never had a less than magical CL stay anywhere so this one really was an OUCH. No worries though as DH and I had a wonderful trip and a great time at the parks.

I also got sick after eating evening apps (but I blame too much wine and the heat)

So your pics were a definite inspiration to try RPC again :)

Wow - back to RPC, good for you! I do hope it's awesome for you this time around. The summer AP rates also swayed me to book another trip! So we have RPC coming up this month. Then I booked BWI CL deluxe room (a new CL to us - can't wait!), then move to our beloved Poly CL LV for the 4th of July.

So here's what I have coming up:
March 23-28 RPC standard room
June 27-July 2 BWI CL deluxe room
July 2-5 Poly CL LV room

I can't wait to hear all about your RPC stay!!! I actually just got off the phone with my TA and extended BWI to 8/6 (more Disney days)

Hi all,

Please could you share with me what is available in general at the Beach Club club level? I've read a few negative experiences so just wondering if I have made the right decision! We got free DDP as well. Thanks so much :-)

Love the change! Congrats on the AP discount, I hope this next RPC stay is magical :wizard:.

We've never stayed CL at the BC, but I wanted to say that you will read negative reviews on all CLs. Everyone's opinion/experience is different, so I'd take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. What might be negative to one person, won't be a problem for someone else. Hope you have a great trip :).

You'll find negative reviews at any resort, but honestly the BC lounge is gorgeous! The CMs were amazing, it truly was like being "home" Breakfast was plentiful with eggs, oatmeal, lunch meat/cheese, cereal, small pastries, bagels, toast, etc.

Desserts were the same every night, but delish!!!

There were several good evening apps and salads (forgive me for not remembering. You picked an excellent resort

Awesome pictures!! Do you remember what Main Building view that was (Standard or Theme Park)? Trying to decide what to pick for the second part of our Anniversary trip in Sept. TIA!
