Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I don't think the IPO handles the room requests, you'd have to call and have it added to your reservation. I could be wrong, however. It doesn't hurt to ask the IPO.
When I sent my request forms to IPO, I did note my specific room request in the final section. I also sent a separate email to IPO with the request and they told me it had been noted on my reservation.

We stayed CL at Sugar Loaf - one word of advice for this building is to make sure you request a room far from the lounge. It was very, very noisy. We were initially given a first floor room, and there was no way we could have stayed in it. We could hear the dishes and glasses clanking well inside the room in the afternoon. The lounge starts offering breakfast at 7, so unless your entire party rises very early - be sure to ask to be on a higher floor.

Otherwise our stay there was very nice. The resort is beautiful! We loved watching the fireworks from the dock in the evenings.

i like the ground floor rooms, but it is noisy. We use a sound machine at night though and it drowns out the sound perfectly. We were in the first room of the hall by the lounge. Very convenient.

I think it can vary vastly depending on time of year. We were there during labor day weekend, and the resort was fully booked. The lounge was always packed - so the noise level was beyond what we could deal with. We managed to move to the top floor, and it was perfectly fine after that. If you are a heavy sleeper, or if you are an early riser, I can see how the first floor convenience would be pretty awesome - just run out of your room to grab drinks, etc. any time.

If I could politely correct you here, yes, IPO does handle room requests and is happy to do so. The term "IPO" is a bit of a misnomer here, they can add room requests, add notes to reservations (like birthdays, etc), in addition to their "IPO" services. I haven't called in my room requests since we started staying CL.

Can anyone tell me how the CL lounge will work with a child that technically needs a high chair? We are staying CR atrium CL in May and will have our 18month old with us. He will not really sit on a lap and I don't think I ever noticed anything of the high chair variety in any photos. We've only stayed in BWI CL and our daughter at the time could sit in the regular chairs just fine.

He does love what we call "walking around food" as in he'll eat almost anything if you let him walk around while eating, but I also don't want to have to pack my dyson DustBuster and chase him with it so as to not be destroying the lounge for the CM's and other guests.

I asked my husband if I should buy one of those collapsible, portable seats for him but husband doesn't think it's necessary.

Hmmm... I'm not sure about CR. I was just at GF RPC and they DID have high chairs in the lounge. You can always e-mail IPO and ask, I'm sure they can give you an answer. Have a great trip!

I wasn't sure - I am almost positive that on one of my stays the IPO said I had to have my travel agent add it to my reservation because they could not access it. I always start with the IPO and go to whoever handled my reservation as the second.

Our first CL stay will be this summer at GF Sugarloaf. So excited! Has anyone had any experience getting family portraits done by Disney Photography. Saw it as an option in the email from IPO. Thoughts?

I don't have experience with family portraits, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip and enjoy GF SL :wizard:.

Just wanted to share a couple of photos of GF RPC offerings this past week...

A month or so ago I asked advice on room location / requests for GF RPC standard view rooms. Despite the tons of info here and on the GF thread I was still a bit confused with the different room types, layout of the building, turret rooms, etc. Hopefully the info below is helpful to those looking to stay at RPC. FWIW, the two requests I submitted were "upper floor" and "close to the lounge." I was given Room 4418, three doors "down" from the lounge. I very much enjoyed this room, the view, and location.

Here's the floor plan from the back of the door. The red dot was our room.

If only I could keep the room this clean after unpacking...

View to the right. You can see the top of the Spaceship Earth (Epcot) in the distance....

View looking straight ahead towards the courtyard pool....

View to the left. You can see Space Mountain and the main entrance (hard to see in the photo). If you look closely the very tippy top spear of the castle is that little line right next to the tallest Sugar Loaf turret. I could hear the MK opening show in the mornings.

And the similar view at night. Not too bad in my book for a "standard" view.

And finally, my morning view....

My wife, two teenage girls and I are staying RPC CL from 4/9-4/15 with It is our first stay at the GF. We've stayed multiple times at the Shades of Green and we are looking forward to this new experience. We have a standard view room and I am wondering what the best choice is for a room request. I was looking through the thread to determine what the recommended best option is for the room request. Thank you to GADisneyDad14 for posting the pictures and recommended room location, good timing. I am not familiar with the layout. How many floors are there and is there a diagram of the rooms? Are there additional recommendations?

We also have our first RPC stay coming up. I was excited to see someone had started a thread that shows the room locations/numbers -- it was very helpful in trying to get a visual of RPC. Check out this thread:

Thanks for the info/diagram. Also love the pics, makes me wish I was there right now :cloud9:.

There are a couple of rooms on the 2nd floor, but the majority of rooms are spread out among floors 3, 4, & 5, with the concierge desks located on the 3rd floor and the lounge on the 4th. I, personally, like being close to the lounge, but I think RPC is great no matter where your room is located. Hopefully others will give their opinion/recommendation for room requests. Hope you have a great time, RPC is amazing :wizard:.

We like fourth floor close to lobby facing the courtyard. Not sure if that was a standard view though. Hopefully the link someone posted here will help you out. There really isn't a bad location in RPC in my opinion. I'm sure you will love it. Shades of Green is very nice but staying at GF is hard to recover from. We have been skipping SOG because I love the other resorts so much but I sure do miss the savings there. I love what they've done with the pool there too. Have a fantastic vacation and enjoy RPC.

You've had some good info provided already. If I understand it correctly, the standard view rooms are either that "bank" where I was that face the courtyard pool, or the "bank" on the other side of the atrium facing towards the Poly/kids splash pad/other pool. Could be either 3rd or 4th floor. I liked the location I was in for access to the "secret" elevator without having to walk through the lounge. Wouldn't make or break my stay either way, but it was convenient for access to the pool. BTW, the "secret" elevator really isn't so secret... I was poking my head in service rooms and stairwells at first trying to find it... When it was really right in front of me! ;-)

Hi all
We are staying AKL club in Oct in a standard room.
Does anyone know if this is a savanna view room?
The standard view room ( non club) are roof/ car park view and the club room are called 'standard rooms' ( not standard view) so hoping that doesn't mean a car park view?
They don't seem to list the club rooms as Savana view except for the 1 bed room suits.
Any reassurance would be great!
Thanks

The AKL Club level rooms are savanna view, assuming you've booked a regular hotel room. If you've booked DVC/time share it may be different.
