Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Anyone know if there is time to eat breakfast before the parks early opening? Do they adjust the club opening time? Trying to see how to get to MK for early entry at a decent time from BWI
I asked the day before the 50th if they had plans to open CR breakfast hours any earlier: emphatic "No".

I would bring some ziplocks and put a few items or pieces of fruit in your room for the next day. As trishadono said you can get coffee at 6:30am.

Some notes from the 4 cls currently open :

Welcome gifts AKL and CR

No ice out at CR you have to ask for some 🤔

BWI and GF had tubes not wall mounted shampoo etc

GF only one that really got COLD🥶

I have had an issue checking in at Cr this year every time. After 3pm consistently .
We got our CR CL std view room really early, around 10am. It was fully functional and I could turn the AC down to make it cold. But I saw them doing work in several other places in that hallway/some rooms during our stay. I thought the CL experience was good but rocky at times. They are still finishing construction, trying things out and training new people, so I think it will be awhile before they get things running smoothly. All the CMS were extremely nice but some were very, very new. Like their first day.

I will say that the new CMs were very quick to say, 'let me check on that' and went to someone more experienced before providing an answer. They did not just say, 'no' or 'I don't know'. So that was good. So things took a little extra time but you got what you wanted or things got fixed.

this is a good idea, like a muffin from the day before? Is it frowned upon to take food from the lounge and bring back to your room?

Lots of people take food and drinks back to their room. Put the items you want on a plate and take them back to your room where you can store them appropriately. There are also to go cups with lids if you want a cordial or wine for later when lounge is closed.

For those that have stayed CL thus far, does anyone have a feel for whether or not they are booking at full capacity (assuming guest demand) or if they are purposefully not filling all rooms? I know there was some talk prior to opening the lounges of initially running at a "reduced" capacity, but now that we have some members with stays under the belts, I'm curious what the reality or perceived reality actually is.

The lounge traffic seemed light to me and I didn't see many people in my hallway. I asked a CM if they were at full capacity and she said, 'no'. This was at CR and they are still finishing construction so it may be different at other resorts but CR was definitely not at capacity. I really only saw one other couple on my floor (12th std view).

The most crowded day was Oct 1st. Before and after, the lounge never filled up.

Just wanted to thank you guys for keeping us updated and for the comparisons, @trishadono. I hope you all had an incredible time at the 50th that you’ll always remember! I think I’ll bite the bullet and keep my RPC res for mid-Nov (ack), but the pricing really makes it a huuuuuge splurge, a likely one-and-done for me. I booked a BWI deluxe room for DH and I for a long weekend next Nov, after a meeting we have in Orlando - but those rooms are just unappealing to me in general. I know I’ll be tempted to switch to YC if CL opens.
Happy Monday, ya’ll!

GF has more space so can put out more. Oddly BWI had the most varied drink selections. The juice blends were interesting.

GF still wins with that you have 3 floors to explore up there. Seating scattered all over. CR has a better castle view so a good place for fireworks viewing. It comes down to priorities.

I knew the 50th would be busy. I expected a discount so booked CR cl. Then discounts ended 9/30 and you had to decide to keep or cancel.
I spent far more on this trip than I ever have. Luckily I paid for a lot of it spaced out over 499 days.

So hard to answer. Overall GF just has a bit more. They also did not run out. CR kept running out. Desserts were mostly gone one night at CR for example. They did not have as varied a selection either. Thinking about it GF was pretty similar to past trips except midday. However all cls dropped their old midday offerings.

Also gf had things for convenience. Water bottles, several creamers/milk choices for coffee, a bucket of ice out at all times that kind of thing.

I actually think I will probably do poly gv cl and gf SL once those reopen. I love mono resorts but I have been priced out at the new rates.

Thanks! We also booked expecting a discount. We also assumed Poly would open up by now, so I’m not in love with any offerings being removed given rack rate prices. Will def need a discount next year.

Hello! I've loved reading your reviews after reopenings, especially for BWI, which I am considering for an upcoming trip vs. a 1BR at BCV. We have a party of 5 - 2 adults, 3 kids ages 8,7,2. Is there room in a standard CL at BWI to place a pack n play? That is about the same price as the BCV 1BR and I think the smaller space can work for us given the convenience of the lounge items for drinks, desserts, breakfast, etc. Any thoughts or input? I'm just having a hard time letting go of Stormalong Bay lol. I wish BC CL was open! TIA!

Regular BWI rooms are large enough to fit 5 and a pack n play. SAB is a nice pool but with 3 little kids, I do not recommend it. Its very spread out and impossible to keep an eye on kids. Our kids love the BWI pool just as much. It has a really fun slide but more compact. Plus it has a playground that our kids love right in the pool area. CL is great for families. It gives you an extended place to relax, especially when its nap time. Our kids love to fill up a snack bag from CL and take it into the park. The staff is wonderful and have been accommodating to our kids.

OFF TOPIC: as you all know, this group is excellent. I was wondering if anyone has found a good thread related to the Remy ride? I searched, but was unable to. Any help is appreciated.

Lots of Remy info on theme parks attractions and strategies. Search 'Remy' there.

Thanks for the reply and great call on the playground and SAB being difficult to keep an eye on kids. Thanks for the tips!

I’ve been at the CR CL for 4 nights now. This is our first CL stay in a number of years and I booked last year specifically to be near all the action for the 50th. Our stay has been…fine. I expected a little more magic but got exactly what was promised. An atrium room with access to the club. I do love the new room decor.
I’ll echo some of the other posts already here. No early opening for October 1 was disappointing. The next morning was a mess with half the tables dirty, most food gone, and not a single CM around to give an update. I like the grab and go snacks in the afternoon but wish there was more variety.
The far right elevator does not recognize access to 12 and 14 even for CMs. They are aware of this but had no timeline for a fix.
We got back to our room from breakfast at Steakhouse 71 around 9am and the construction noise was unbearable. I used the QR code to let them know about my problem and within 50 mins had a call from the front desk with what I thought was a fair offer to compensate us.
Overall I’m not in a rush to stay CL here again and happy with my basic tower room in a few weeks for D23 at less than half the price I paid for this weekend.

Bolded = Same for us.

Think I saw you a few times in the lounge.

I thought I was doing the magic band thing wrong in that last elevator.

Breakfast that day was a disaster.

After seeing your photos I definitely realize you were there the first afternoon we checked in.

The elevators are already slow enough. They need to get that issue fixed up.
