Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

As to you other post, I agree it was wonderful to see several familiar CM faces from prior CR stays!

Who are the regular CMs at CR lounge? I've only stayed one other time and I didn't remember anyone. This time I will as I had more interactions :rolleyes1

I know Janet is one of them because she was at AKL CL when we were there opening weekend and @trishadono had told me she was from CR. She was very helpful...went to get gluten free muffins for me and DD for breakfast. She actually remembered us from AKL too which was nice! Susan told me she used to be on the 14th floor (Tower club)...wonder if she will move back? Sharon was a regular CR CM too (also according to trishadono since we had never stayed at CR before). She was good too...even found me some Riesling! The CMs were very friendly, but it did seem a lot were new which might have been part of the reason some things didn't run smoothly? We felt as you did about a lot of things...poor wine selection and continual running out of food and Nespresso pods! CMs had to find red wine for my DH. He was not impressed at all with Atrium CL and said he does not want to return. He said the lounge seating reminded him of McDonald's :rotfl:. I liked the couch area over at the side. It was very nice for a little visit with some other DIS friends! The lounge was just pretty small so it was a good thing it never got very crowded! I have to admit that the view of the castle was pretty amazing (from the TPV rooms as well). When we transferred over to BWI, we missed having other DIS friends to chat with, but the CMs and managers over there are so awesome and the food and drinks were so much better, that we were extremely happy to be there!

Yep those were the 3 I recognized.

I was not impressed either. I won't do cl there just TPV room if at CR.

Cheap wines and less selection. I still cant get over no ice! How were people supposed to have iced tea??? Or white wine? or the water????

The old lounge set up was more fun. IMO I agree with dh, McD's feel. Just a much better view!

I am better with faces than names, but Lou Anne, Jim, Dave, Pearl, Sharon. I’m sure many others. I tend to have long gaps in CR stays since I don’t love the pool situation all that much so that influences my memory.

special macaroons for the 50th maybe? I thought they were cute and they haven’t had these before that I can remember anyway?

Sunday morning chef station with Mickey waffles and toppings as well as scrambled eggs with toppings (I used cheese and bacon crumbles along with some of the onions and peppers from the plant-based sausage...although I didn’t want the sausage). They also had ham.

It would only let me attach 10 files so I guess I like pictures too much lol! They also had Mac n cheese (which they can also make gluten-free)...so there’s always a kid option here too. All of the apps were really good! Monday morning for breakfast they had quiche and bacon that was cooked perfectly! They made scrambled eggs for me and DD so it would be gluten-free and there were still toppings.

Lol - I had a feeling from some of the lounge discussion I was in the minority. I just booked a return trip yesterday! :duck:

Since they didn’t muck up the rooms (which was my fear), I’m still all in. 😂

I’m just a monorail resort person at heart.
I ended up visiting GF RPC Saturday night lol . I missed it and a friend was there. Still waiting for my poly to open:cloud9:

However congrats on a booking and happy planning!

The convenience of CR to MK is great for sure (and that castle view😍), and I have to admit that the rooms were much better than expected. The bathrooms are really nice and I like the under bed storage for luggage. We didn’t get any robes in our room there which was surprising, but I didn’t have time to use one anyway this trip. We had robes and SLIPPERS at BWI so I guess slippers are still around sometimes?? I wouldn’t rule out another CR CL stay completely if discounts come back, but I agree with you on the pool being not the best so we’ll probably stick with GF and Poly for our MK stays. Being able to walk back to those resorts is game changing for leaving MK at park close, and although it’s a longer walk, my DD said the view is much better than the streets and buses going back to CR lol! It’s not like I hate CR, but the hotel itself just isn’t my style I guess. The bag check to get on the monorail reminds me of TSA at the airport so it stresses me out a bit😂!

Ok I remember Sharon, Susan, Jim and Dave, but this Dave was new. I think it was his first day and he kept dropping things, I felt bad for him. Then at the breakfast debacle the next day, he got hit by the ceiling water while he was carrying food. He wasn't there around noon and I told my husband, 'he must have quit!' Also Parker, who helped us out a lot and found me two golden nespresso pods one morning when they were out. That was a real act of magic :wizard:

I don't blame your husband; CR had a rocky week, overall, but they tried.

That is a cute welcome drink! What was that drink?

We are hoping to get back to DW and the BWI CL soon.
That’s just the “blue champagne “ that they serve there (). I can’t remember the actual name of it. The tiny rubber duckie cracked me up though! That may just be something special they’re doing since they just reopened and once they’re gone they’re gone, but it was too cute! I hope you get back soon! It’s so nice for things to be getting back to normal finally!

We thought Parker was very nice and helpful too! I liked the CMs that we met. They all tried very hard, but it was pretty much out of their control...rocky start as you said, and I’ll bet they get the kinks worked out in time. I guess it was a bit of a struggle to get it all up and running with the renovations! I still had a great trip and I hope you all did too!

This is impressive, and what the other CLs should be offering (especially the flagship resort). Very much looking forward to the first half of my split stay at BWI. It’s the CR part that has me worried, though I’m not sure the GF is much better at the moment to be worth a change there.

Bwi just had so much more magic IMO. The blue sparkling, a chef, the midday beverages, I am not sure if people looked up close to my pix but they had more unique items.
