Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Wow, that suite is amazing! I must say, given the space and full size dining table I can't believe they don't have a full size fridge and dishwasher.

What was the huge colorful artwork going down the hall that overlooked the living space?

I am now the proud owner of a horrifyingly cutesy unicorn duffle bag because of this. I was on a solo trip in early March, bought some flower and garden things, and bought the cheapest bag they had at TJ Maxx. My husband was embarrassed to even put it in the car when he picked me up from the airport 😅 😅 😅

When we drive anywhere for more than a couple of nights, I bring our good coffee pot - which is "Grind & Brew". And always overpack. When I fly, I just do a Target pick up and always buy a case of water - plus 2 or 3 of the gallon sized jugs of water to make coffee. My driver laughs with glee when the bellman sees how much stuff I have :rotfl2:

In all seriousness, you have to plan for extra layers AND extra clothes in the Florida heat. You never know when a thunderstorm or just heat means you want a shower and a fresh change of clothes sometimes daily. My trip later this month is for 2 full weeks and I'm trying to cut back on what I pack with the goal of doing laundry at least once....but we'll see how that works out when I actually DO pack later this week.
My solo trip this month is my first in a while where I won't have at least a small portion of the trip in a villa with a washer & dryer, and if I bring my whole closet then so be it lol. At least my youngest DD isn't coming too, if we don't stay in a villa we also have to bring her microwave with us for her eye compress, so we come rolling and pull out a full size microwave and bell services is like "ummm......the heck....", in all fairness, it has to be sterile, and I do clean the villa ones when we move in. So far haven't brought our big coffee pot, but please don't mention that to my husband because he will get ideas, and we might get some looks rolling up with a microwave AND a coffee pot. So much easier if we had CL, I miss the coffee machines!

On the first level you'll find a small kitchen area. But like some of the other 'presidential suites' around the resorts, there is no full size refrigerator - only a regular room size under-cabinet fridge and a built-in microwave. If I had one 'complaint' about the room it would be the lack of a bigger fridge.

The room comes with a Nespresso machine, although I called and asked to have a Keurig and it was delivered promptly with supplies.

This bar used to extend all the way to the wall, but they made it "open/walk-through" in the renovation, which really enhances this area.

Sometimes it's nice to have a real full-size trash can.

The room is actually stocked with plates/cups, but no dishwasher so if you make a mess you'll need to wait for housekeeping to take away/re-stock.

Tried to use this once to warm up a cup of coffee. Too complicated for me!

all those plates and cups.......and a tiny little fridge, sometimes I don't understand their logic.

The Master Bath is the biggest improvement from the renovation, IMO. The layout before was rather weird/awkward, now it makes a lot more sense.

One "side" is a walk in closet and make-up area.

The other "side" is the vanity, shower/bath, and toilet area.

And the previously discussed tub/shower room combo.

The Master Bath toilet comes with "advanced features" and its own remote. I'll leave it at that.

you had me at advanced features with a remote…

And most of the kitchen cabinets you see are just empty/would have no use other than using them as a pantry for food you bring. It’s more like a hospitality kitchen I guess, if you were to have it professionally stocked for an event, VIP, etc, with the real fridge/dishwasher they’d use behind scenes somewhere.

We wondered if maybe they intend to put a slighter larger fridge in the cabinet and it just hadn’t come in yet, but even that could only be marginally bigger given the space.

The GDT Presidential Suites are the same - massive rooms and beautiful living room spaces….tiny fridge.

WOW ! That suite is AMAZING! Thanks so much for sharing. I just love beautiful, spacious hotel rooms!!

Thanks! I hesitated to post pics, but I remember trying to research Tonga for a multi-room/multi-generation family trip a couple of years ago and it was SO HARD to find accurate info and pics of the suites online. It took me forever to piece together enough to make sure I knew the layout and if it made sense for our group. So hopefully these are helpful to others!

Wow! Beautiful space. Thanks for posting!!

I was going to suggest that! To choose an UBER XL or Uber Black.

AND if you decide you'd just rather have a dedicated driver, I've used Tony Hinds as my go-to driver to and from the airport and he does this kind of transfer. He is just a delight. I'm guessing he'd charge around $60 (please PM me if you want his email / phone number)
We used Mears SUV for our transfer from GF to Ritz in early June. We also used them to get to some parks because we were scared to count on getting an Uber when needed. I'm planning to use them to get to HS from AKL on August 27th and the price is only $21 including tip for an SUV! That's a bargain! Does anyone know how early they will let you into the parking lot/drop off area? We didn't get to the park until 9am last time, so I don't know if they'll let you in early? If so, how early? Does anyone know??

When I was there in May, they were making you turn around at both HS and AK if you were there more than an hour before opening - and at both, they held the cars at the parking gates until at least 45 minutes before official park opening.

Thanks for the info! I don't think we'll get there quite that early, but @trishadono is a serious rope dropper, so I need to find a happy medium :rotfl: ! I always wake up really early anyway so why not...plus, it'll be super hot so earlier is definitely better! Can't wait to be back in a CL lounge at Disney!! 12 more days:flower1:!!! BTW, I spoke to DSS this morning, and he said they will be using actual wine glasses vs plastic cups so lets hope he's right!

Akv club concierge called me about the two days we just switched to club level to tell me they were looking forward to seeing us, reminding me to keep an eye on resort and re-opening announcements before my trip and asking me if I needed anything. :)
So they didn't move you to a savanna view hotel room? I'm guessing that's becuase they can't replicate the amenities in that kitchen, bath and with the washer/drier. I've super curious what they're doing up there though that they've moved all us studio folk.
