Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Sadly, turndown service has not returned since Covid.

I’m pretty go with the flow with most Disney changes and the ebbs and flows of things over the years, but this is one that really grinds my gears, in my humble opinion.
Agreed! I think it's the fact that Covid is still used as an excuse a lot of the time, thats what annoys me. It's been years now, time to move on...

The last 2 trips we had to RPC (this past April and July) we did get turn down service but I had to request it and if I remember correctly it wasn't consistent. However, I was thrilled to see they went back to the Grand Floridian chocolates (as well as the fluffy robes lol). Curious to see if they are still there this trip, which brings me to my question.

I know many pages back there was discussion about the Minnie Van service to and from MCO coming back for Club Level guests. We typically use another company for a town car service that we are always pleased with, but for our upcoming Jan trip we are traveling with 6 people instead of our usual 3. Thinking about getting the Minnie Van this time just to experience it (I always hear such great things about the CM's who are the drivers). Does anyone know where they meet you? This is a very special surprise trip for my mother who has been battling cancer and has never stayed RPC before and we want this to be a very memorable trip from start to finish for her. Do the Minnie Van drivers meet you at the bottom of the escalator by baggage claim? If not we'll probably get a limo instead from our usual company. Thanks in advance

Yes, they meet you in the same way other limo/car services meet you - by baggage claim, typically there with a sign. They park in that area a floor or two below, so it’s a quick getaway. Super easy. Caveat that I’m not familiar with how they are handling things for Terminal C arrivals if applicable - I’m assuming it’s similar but don’t have first hand experience or knowledge with how things work with that terminal.

FYI, depending on your luggage amount with six people they may make you get two Minnie Vans. With six you have to put three in the third row (which is passable but not that comfortable for adults) and it really limits the amount of luggage space in the back, so I’d prepare for them to be very granular on this topic. They may not actually allow six on an airport run, not sure about that (would be curious what they say if you do call to book, or if anyone with experience knows).

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much! That definitely does help! When I called Signature Services earlier to inquire they said you have to go to the Mears area to check in for the Minnie Van which I thought was incorrect. Very helpful about the space issue as well because we will have 4 large suitcases. Our 60 days is on Sunday so I will see what they say about that but sounds like we'll be going the limo route. Thanks again!

Hmm, that’s interesting about the Mears area. I used the service quite a bit before Covid and a few times when it came back for CL guests and it was still the same pickup by baggage claim setup. A little worried with that sort of specific direction from DSS maybe things have changed. That’s always possible, my last experience was maybe 9 months ago or so (approximately).

Hopefully others who have done it more recently can also chime in.

I used the Minnie Van from MCO to YC CL last October 2023. They met me down the escalator near baggage claim, took my luggage, brought me to the back area wheee ride share are, quick exit to YC and picked us up for the round trip around 2 hours prior to my departure flight, not the 3 hours line other ride shared companies. Great service, clean van, nice drivers. Will be doing it again in March and December 2025. I made arrangements through Signature Services around the 60 day mark, they followed up before my trip. Sent me texts when my flight landed and the day of departure. Easy.

So they picked you up at your resort 2 hours prior to your flight departure time? That seems like you are cutting it close unless you have carryons only and TSA precheck. The security lines at MCO are long.

Yes, I have TSA pre check plus sky priority with Delta, I have never waited in a Pre Check line more more than 15 minutes, lucky I guess. Usually one bag a piece, handed off to the delta agent as you go through the outside door with First Class Sky Priority so we can cut down in the 3 hour pickup. Usually approximately at the airport within 90 minutes of the flight give or take 10 minutes

Yeah, that’s their default. You can ask for earlier if you’d like.

I’ve had people argue with me vehemently for years on the Transportation board but I’ve always been team leave WDW at 2 hours and not a second before whether I’m ride share, returning a rental, etc. BUT important to note my idea of success is as little to no time sitting around the airport as possible, so I’m in the minority of travel preferences. And I have pre check, clear (which sometimes isn’t even useful), and a high degree of tolerance for threading the needle pretty close. 9 out of 10 times I’m there with plenty time to hit the Delta SkyClub for a bit, grab a snack, wait around, etc. Every once in awhile if traffic has been slow or Pre-Check a little slower, a little less time. But I’ve never really come close to being in the danger zone.

Granted, most people seem to prefer more cushion when traveling and for some I don’t blame them.

Knock on wood, hasn’t failed me yet! 🤞

Yeah, I think maybe we’re spoiled with Delta. I don’t tend to even sweat it too much, luggage drop off takes barely any time, abundant flights, etc. Although my idea of hell is sitting in that awful Delta terminal for more than I have to, especially if my gate is at the end where there are like 5 gates all boarding at once. 😂

So true, if I have extra time prior to boarding I just go to the sky club instead of waiting at the gate.

I’m with you. I always leave 2 hours before and have alway been fine. Tend to travel mid afternoon earlier or midweek though—weekends could be much busier. I also want to eliminate extra time waiting at the airport. We have Clear and have luckily always gotten through quickly. I don’t want to jinx myself though now that I’ve said that. 🤞

I've used the Minnie Van service round trip to/from MCO several times this year including last month and have them booked again in a few days. They definitely meet you at the bottom of the escalator with a sign. The driver is always there and in place long before we get to them. Usually a text is waiting for me when I take my phone out of airplane mode.

I agree with others who have said that you aren't getting 6 people plus luggage in one vehicle. When you make the reservation they will ask you how many people and how many bags you have. They are going to tell you that you need two unless you are all traveling very light, as in backpack light and sharing a small suitcase.

As for pick up window, I just always tell them what I want. Occasionally if I get someone on the line at signature services who isn't very experienced, they will try to tell me that it needs to be 2 hours before the flight. I just tell them to please send my requested time preference to the Minnie Van team. My request is always approved and I get an email from the Minnie Van team within 24 hours confirming my details.

The entire Minnie Van team is fantastic- drivers, phone support, dispatchers, and managers. 100% recommend.

Yes I agree. It’s takes the anxiety away knowing that the Minnie Van CM’s are going to be there to pick me up and bring me back.

Thank you so much for the information! If we don't use them this trip because of the luggage issue, we will have to do it for our next trip when it's just the 3 of us! Thanks again!

Lots of good info here on Minnie vans and turn down. Nice!

I have a friend that got turndown but had to request it. I forgot to do that my 2 trips within the past 11 months. Rats!

I took my mom a few years ago to RPC after my Dad passed. My mom loved the 3 rd floor large balcony that faces the pool area. She would sit out there often. The other thing she liked was sitting up on the 5th floor with the amazing views! It’s only 1 floor up from the eating area but it really is nice up there. The seating is very comfy for hanging out during the day,

My last RPC stay everybody grabbed a Mickey ice cream bar and watched the fireworks from the 3rd floor balcony. (Made some friends😊) It was nice to have that space.
