I just got back from CBR last week and we swam many times. I never saw any restrictions on the pool (and I looked carefully). The pool was pretty full but not extremely so, even at night. Nobody has trouble getting in that I can tell or experienced. There was no guard at the gates. The wait at the main waterslide was 4 minutes (I timed it), or 15 kids. That is, after my kid goes up the slide, I count the kids out of the slide (around 4 per minute), and my kid is the 15th kid that comes out.We are planning a trip the middle of July and staying at Caribbean Beach. Are there currently any restrictions on the pool? For awhile I think they were only allowing a certain number of people in the pool area. Has that changed with the loosening up of the covid restrictions?
Hello people reading this.
I am looking at booking for May 2022. A few days ago it was giving me the option for normal rooms where now it’s only offering my pirate rooms. I’m not keen on them due to the location (wanna be near the skyliner) and having to pay more for a room theme I don’t want!
I’d be very surprised if all the other rooms were gone and assume they’ve blocked them to try sell pirate rooms. Do you think this is a correct assumption? Should I just hold out and wait, or should I book the pirate rooms and switch when the rooms I want become available thus saving money, or pick a different resort.
Will be booking from the UK using the 50th offer.

I plan on getting a reservation in August. My ADR day is not here yet. Out of curiosity I was checking what was available. Yes I did see Tuesday and Wednesday were not open. Weird thing is there were no available reservations on any dates I checked.Interesting, on the MDE app, it is currently showing that Sebastian's Bistro is going to be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On the MDE web site, you can't see that they are closed, and it just says "No availability" for Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Hi all!
a few questions my quick search couldn’t find… if we are staying in Pirate rooms in Trinidad, where would we get an Uber/Lyft to get to MK/AK?
Do we just walk to nearest bus stop?
thanks for any info![]()
When selecting your drop off location, you'd want to select your section (i.e. Aruba, Jamaica) from the locations under Caribbean Beach Resort. They will then drop you off in that section.* If we take Lyft can they get right up to the room locations or do they drop off where DME does?
Yes, but in that case, you'd want to get dropped off at the CBR main entrance at Old Port Royale if you need bell services to assist you. There are no bellmen in the sections, only at the main entrance.* Do we have the option of having Bell Services bring our bags to our room with our instacart order?
We were in Jamaica and walked up to one of the circles where a group of buildings converge. See photo below. It looks like Trinidad has two of these circles as well. These circles is where all the Uber/Lyfts seemed to be picking up and dropping off at.Hi all!

How is the walk from Jamaica to Old Port Royale? Wife wants to make sure we're not too far from the main building. Building 45 seems to be a good balance between distance to Skyliner and OPR
I was able to snag a reservation our last day. Hope they have a sugar-free dessert option! Not sure if it has been posted here yet, but Sebastian's Bistro is reopening! (Opening June 24 with nightly walk-in availability through July 4; bookings available June 10 for reservations starting July 5)

We've requested Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 each time we've stayed at CBR, but have never been fortunate enough to get either. I'm guessing these are popular requests due to their proximity to OPR. I would suggest requesting "close to OPR" so that the room assigner knows that's what you want. If you just request Jamaica 45 and they're unable to grant it, they'll likely put you somewhere else in Jamaica when they may have been able to put you in a room in another section that's closer to OPR. We just requested Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 last trip, and we were in Jamaica 41 which is closest to the Skyliner hub and a rather long walk to OPR. We ended up getting coffee and breakfast at the Skyliner Joffrey's stand because of the walk. How is the walk from Jamaica to Old Port Royale? That’s what I do at most resorts. For Aug I requested close to Caribbean Cay. Our first onsite stay was at CBR and we were in Jamaica 42 near pool And lake path. We did enjoy that location and mostly used the quiet pool. We've requested Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 each time we've stayed at CBR, but have never been fortunate enough to get either.
