Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Finally figured out how to post a photo! This is what the ‘wood’ floors look like in some of the rooms.View attachment 652919
Do we know how many rooms are this wood verses how many are the carpet or what areas have the new floors? Coming in July and just wondered what our odds were of getting this flooring. Carpet kind of skeeves me out for some reason!

We just came back from staying at CBR in a pirate room. No complaints. Friendly service, clean, frequent buses and very convenient to the skyliner. Our room was quiet, close to the bus stop and was refreshed with towels, coffee etc every other day and I believe they changed sheets once. Enjoyed having our own pool in our building instead of the big main one.

Just returned from a 4 night stay in Barbados. Was a great location with a quiet room. Rooms could use a refurb but was clean and everything worked in the room. Resort is beautiful. Skyliner is amazing. There was hardly ever any line to get on and got us to EMH every morning with time to spare. We had great luck with buses, never waiting more than 5-10 minutes. It is a huge resort but we would 100% stay here again. CM’s were super friendly and the tropical vibe definitely had us feeling relaxed and on vacation. Would be happy to answer any questions I can.

By any chance, did you take a picture of the Activity Calendar? Thanks!

I’m sorry but I didn’t. It was a short 4 day trip for us so most of the time spent at the parks. Would love to stay longer sometime and have more downt

Silly question- when we first arrive, with all our luggage, are their carts available? We don't arrive until after 8 pm...

Does anybody know if the village drink refill stations are open throughout the resort? I can’t find definitive info one way or the other. If they are, does anybody know what buildings in Aruba and Jamaica have them, and if they have coffee and hot chocolate, or just soda? Thanks.

To answer my own question, the refill stations are open and only have the Coke Freestyle machines (no hot drinks). The one in Jamaica is in building 46.

there are quite a few actually. We have standard connecting 5th sleepers booked and I have been doing research like crazy.

Here are the ones I have found:

4519-4520
4511-4512
4529-4530

4405-4406

5121-5122 (water view)
5123-5124 (water view)

2407-2408 (preferred)

2611-2612 (preferred)

I do believe there are more, especially in the Aruba section.

We had a connecting room in Aruba with our other family. Both had 5th sleepers. I want to say we were in 54 but it could have been 45. It’s been a year plus 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

If you book a King Room or a Water/Pool View room it's possible to be put in Martinique or Barbados also.
I am not 100% sure, but I can't imagine they don't have king beds in the preferred buildings. You could go online at the Disney website, when the chat feature comes up, you could ask a Cast Member. I found the online chat to be super helpful.

I also follow WDW Prep School online. They have lots of great info. The link I added it directly to their CBR page.

When you look at the CBR Rooms on the Disney Webite it says for Preferred Rooms:
Views of the Resort Hotel, Courtyard or Woodlands
Close proximity to Fuentes del Morro Pool and Centertown
2 Queen Beds and 1 Child-Size Pull-Down Bed or 2 Queen Beds
Sleeps up to 4 Adults

This is the ONLY room type that mentions Centertown and the Fuentes del Morro Pool.

I have stayed in many King Rooms and Water/Pool View rooms in Martinique and Barbados. I have gotten so much incorrect information from the folks manning the chat feature on the website that it's scary.

I know it is sometimes wrong, but have you checked touringplans.com for their room finder? It looks like there are King beds in every section except for Trinidad which has the pirate rooms. When I clicked on the buildings, it looks like there are very few King beds in Martinique, but Barbados seems to have more. We stayed in a king in Jamaica and loved our location.
