Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Hmmmm interesting! My family is super easy going so those will do but they look a little lacking in selection! Staying at CBR in the past we have never actually eaten in there food court....we just go and pick up/refill our cups. I much prefer POR and CSR food courts and we don't mind driving over for meals elsewhere!
Here's another oneIMG_20170428_132211.jpg

Hello Mel2014! Thank you for the information you posted. I am very curious about the buses. Do you know the route that they take in the morning? I would sure hate to be the last stop and the buses keep going buy. We may be staying there in December and I would like to know as much as I can about this resort. My whole decision rests upon the buses. I would be happy to hear any information that you would like to share. Have a wonderful trip.

Is there any mention of pricing? I like to eat a piece of fruit on the go with breakfast and I'm trying to decide if it's worth the garden grocer fee to have it delivered or just get it from these stations.
I got the pictures from the WDW news Twitter and they didn't mention price. They just have a few pics of construction and this market.

There is no set order of stops. It all depends on which entrance the driver decides to use. If they come in the back/side entrance the order is:
Jamaica
Aruba
Barbados
Martinique
Old Port Royal
Trinidad North
Trinidad South

If the driver decides to come in the main entrance the order is:
Martinique
Old Port Royal
Trinidad North
Trinidad South
Jamaica
Aruba
Barbados

During the peak morning rush they usually send 2 buses at a time for each park. So one bus would pick up at Jamaica, Aruba, and Barbados. The other bus would pick up at Martinique, Old Port Royal, Trinidad North and Trinidad South.

Once they start working on removing all of Barbados and half of Martinique, there will be 30% less guests at CBR at any given time. So that will eliminate the infrequent times that a bus would be full when it got to a stop.

Thank you dansdad! I was really hoping to hear good stuff about this resort because i would like to finalize my plans soon. Thanks again!

Hmmmm.... not sure how I feel about this... great use of space but I can't imagine that at peak times... There will be a line out the door.
There will be three of these thru out the resort, plus food trucks and the dining area they are setting up. I have been to the grab and go in the food court many times. It is also small area and I never encountered a significant line even at peak times in the morning where it would have one area to accommodate the whole resort. I believe the drink refill stations will not be in the same location so that will cut down on congestion.

So is it just the food court and TS restaurant that are closed? It's hard to tell from all the other sources I keep reading if the pool bar is closed too. (August trip) I am trying to decide on CBR which I love or All star sports. Sports is $600 cheaper but I'm thinking the food court is pretty handy before/after parks. And a pool bar is also an almost must do after dealing with August heat/crowds. :magnify:
I was told they will be setting up a temporary bar.

Did you get your giftcards and room requests ok? and yes...99 deg with a real feel of 105..its hot! lol
Yes! Didn't even need to show them the email. So 30% off with AP, $75 'discount', $75 gift card, we are paying less than $20 per night, net. For 11 nights, wow.

Construction thus far has had no impact. We will see what happens next week, but the temporary structure looks like it is of pretty good size, so we will see.
