Sorry... I know this has nothing to do with CBR.... But thought you all may be able to answer it...
I thought I had heard that you can now exchange 1 quick service meal for 3 snack credits ( all 3 have to be used at the sane time)... Can't find if this is true and/or the specifics???? Anyone know anything about this???

We did this with no trouble at both OPR and The Marketplace at the Beach Club a couple weeks ago. We had quick service credits left over so we brought three snacks up to the counter and told the cashier we wanted to exchange a quick service for three snacks. Easy peasy!

If you include a request for a certain village in you reservation, do you still call shortly before your trip to politely repeat your request? :-)
Thanks!

What I prefer to do is call about a week before our arrival and ask the CM to read back to me any room requests on our reservation. That way I know the room assigner will see them.

The pirate rooms are being converted to queens. They haven't done all of them yet though, so if you are staying in one that has not been refurbed it will be a double.

Where'd you get this info from? So far all we've heard is they are changing the matresses not upgrading to queen.

I'm sorry to hear this too. Make sure she knows where you're staying. She can always leave a message in your room. Just in case you have phone issues. I'd also highly recommend an external battery (or external wireless charger) if you have a phone that is compatible.

Thank you. I'm leaving both his family and my family with an in case of emergency paper with all of our resort information and our week itinerary so they know where we'll be at least. I'm hoping to get a new phone for then so I can buy an extra battery for it. Thank you for your help and suggestions! It means a lot

We just left CBR. We got there at 1:00pm. Room still wasn't ready. Got text with room number at 4:00
Curious...what time did you indicate your arrival time would be? We've indicated we would arrive at noon and are hoping to stop by our room before heading to the parks. I also indicated, on the online checkin form, preference given to time of arrival instead of room requests.

I think we've stayed at CBR 8 times now and we've only gotten into our room before 4pm - twice! Also, Canadians only sporadically get texts, so we have had to check back multiple times. We always do online check-in and tell them of our early morning arrival. We just expect that we won't get into our room until 4pm, so we're not disappointed. For our next trip, we aren't arriving until late at night, so it won't be a problem this time. Hope you had a great trip!

Does anyone know how the temperature and weather usually is in October? I have never been to Florida this time of year and didn't know if it was hot or cool. Also, does it usually rain a lot? We went last year in April/May and it rained everyday.
The temperatures in October can vary. I have been there and it was hot and humid and then in the same week had to wear long sleeves at night. It also depends on what time in October you go - earlier or later! I would prepare for hot but have a jacket if temps get cool at night. As for the rain, one year we didn't have any rain then the next it rained every day! I know this is not a lot of help but the moral of the story is it is unpredictable and just be prepared. :D

Also a rainy day at Disney is better than a sunny day at work/home!!! Have a great trip.:flower1:

Got to CBR @ 1:00PM on 9/13...room was ready and got upgraded to Martinique. Landed at 12:05PM and was at CBR in less than an hour as CBR was the first stop on DME. Had a great week even though was somewhat cloudy and rainy, but had an excellent time. Upon checkout, I asked about Bounceback for 2016, and was told by the CM that they are not doing bouncebacks for 2016. Seemed odd.

Shutter's Restaurant was great...ate there 2 times and cancelled an ADR at 1900 PArk Fare for a dinner ADR at Shutter's.

I did on-line check in as well. Entered 11:30 arrival time as that is what time we landed . Requested Martinique as found out bridge was closed before we left. No such luck, put us in Aruba anyway

We were there this past week and just arrived home today . Yesterday I called ext 8844 and got free dining BB for 2016 at POR so the CM you spoke too unfortunately gave you wrong info about no BB next year

Checked in today. Arrived at 12:00 and it was a mad house. We had already done online check in and had requested Martinique when we found about bridge closure. Sure enough we were assigned to Jamaica and the room was ready. We asked if at all possible could they do find something in Martinique and she said it would be a wait, 15 minutes later our room was ready and we were swimming within minutes. Pool is very nice, but the pirate splash area for the little ones is still closed :sad1:

What time on Sunday does the bus start running to MK? Need to know what time to drag everyone out of bed to get on the first bus of the morning.

Will the busses start circling the whole resort or do I need to get somewhere to make it to rope drop?

I've been told the buses will first run at 6:30am. If it's important to be super early somewhere (for ex, if you have an early park opening or early resort ADR) you should be out at the bus stop at 6:30. I have a Kona ADR at 7:30 am so I plan to be at the bus stop at 6:30. I may be early but if I miss that first bus then I could be late. There is a good thread here on the transportation boards...if you have a specific question about getting somewhere they can help! The thread is called, How to get from point A to Point B or something like that!

Any idea how long the closer for the pirates splash pad will be?

Have a great trip!!!
Thanks for the update!
I'm arriving on Friday! Hoping for Martinique as well!
If you get a free minute could you let me know the status of the splah pirate area later on in the week!
Thanks!!!!
Have a fabulous trip!!

Sorry it took me so long. Had a few busy days. There are def no playgrounds on the beaches.
For those asking about requests, I was worried about this too. we requested Martinique for mobility issues but where given Jamaica and it's not been to bad. The busses to opr due to the bridge being closed are a squeeze but we have managed. We have been eating in parks anyway as I'm not a big fan of the food court. We are close enough for the busses to the parks and that's better for us.

Have a great trip!!!

I was there the other week when they announced the closure and per the flyer in the room, it said it would be closed until 9/26. I am not sure if there are any other updates though :)
