Some of the options on there are kind of odd. Isn't there only two floors per building? Also the water view option, I thought you only could get that when you booked that specific room?

Water view can be requested for a preferred room. Otherwise some are redundant. I only chose the village I wanted bc that was the most important request for me as our family has older children and lower/upper floors each have benefits and drawbacks.

My thoughts exactly, why have four floor options when there are only two. Plus, Near Elevator when there aren't any.

I will be visiting from Australia in Dec, we have 14 nights at the resort.
Yet, we got free dining too .
2nd visit to WDW but last time we stayed at pop.
So we fly in from L.A and I guess we will put our bags under the bus like we did last time and then if I have read the first post correct, someone can take them to our room for us when we get to CBR and check in.
Do I tip this guy?

Hello! I have an Australian friend and she's always asking about tipping since it isn't common there. There's a thread on this site about tipping, but it may mostly refer to dining. If you do a web search on "tipping at Disney World" you will come up with several places to read suggestions. They usually suggest that if you are having the bus driver handle your luggage then you would want to tip them.

Enjoy your trip!

My guess is that whoever made the form didn't make different ones for each individual resort. They probably just use the same one over and over again. Which honestly is kinda lazy from a user experience perspective. It would be really confusing to think someone could choose "near an elevator" when there isn't one. Plus it gives a guest the wrong impression if they are handicapped and didn't do the research.

I helped a friend do online check in for this hotel just two days ago, and you could choose any of the villages to request like the pp's pic. It does seem odd that Trinidad South is not an option (is that one closed off?), and also as other posters mentioned, it has "near elevator" when there aren't any, and also it has "water view" when presumably you cannot get that without paying for the water view category. Weird.

Was your friend in a prefred room? Maybe the options are different between the two?

Trinidad South are all pirate rooms, so that wouldn't be an option for you, unless you booked the pirate category.

Actually my friend had booked a water view room, so it was strange to see the water view as a request on there.

I am currently booked at POP for our December stay. I think we want to upgrade to a moderate. I have a PIN code and originally there weren't any moderates available with it. Now, both CBR and CSR are available. My first choice was CSR, but I guess there is a College Cheerleader Christmas something or other there during my dates, and hubby and I don't want to deal with that. Our next choice is CBR (we stayed at POR last year).

I am a little worried though because I've read about how huge the resort is, the bus service isn't the best, and it's a pain to check in at the separate place. I know you are all posting here because you love Caribbean Beach, so are those things really that big of a deal?

We aren't going to book preferred, but we are going to book a King Room if we do decide to switch to here. I have read that Jamaica and Aruba are the most desirable areas?

Is it safe to assume that the first 2 digits of a room number is your building number? Curios since online check in texts you your room.
Yep, our room last year was 4317 - building 43, 1 - 1st floor. Great corner room, by the way - loved having the extra window!

Does anyone have a preferred room recommendation or doesn't it matter in those buildings?

CBR is a great place to stay. Size of the resort is way overblown...I know, I am beating a dead horse here. Some people say that CBR is SOOOOO HUUUUUGGEEE...take away Trinidad South and it has the same footprint as POFQ. I have had both knees replaced...stayed at CBR less than 5 months after my last knee replacement last year...had no issues. Have never had a problem with bus service in over 60+ days of staying there. The longest I ever waited was on Christmas day a few years ago...2003 or 2005...I forget. We went twice last year to CBR and am going again in 57 days. People will complain about anything. Sometimes you have to wait 10 minutes for a bus...not a big deal. The only way to allay the transportation woes that many have is drive to the parks. That is not for me. I let WDW do the driving.

As for Check-in. Not a big deal. After check-in, anything that needs a concierge can be done at OPR. It is very convenient.

I requested Aruba this year...have never stayed there before. And got a King Room.

Enjoy CBR. It is a very nice resort.

I see the online check in doesn't let you do it, but can you call and request close to OPR? If not and we wouldn't book preferred, there are buildings that seem close if we'd request Jamaica/Aruba but the furthest buildings look far. Would Martinique be better to request?

This was all very helpful. Thank you! :)
