Just heard back from our TA - we needed to change resorts due to arriving a day early, so we're now booked for CBR! We've shied away from CBR because we were worried that it was too spread out, but I'm excited to try something new (we've never stayed in the same resort twice). Now off to thoroughly read this thread!
Welcome aboard! We are trying out CBR this September for the first time as well.

Staying there in Sept first time at CBR...We also decided to rent a car...so does it matter what building to stay at, this point?, or is there still a difference in the building to stay? (Have Standard Room)

If you intend to drive everywhere, then I'd say not really. Having said that, we drive to Disney and have a car at our disposal but once we park it in the parking lot, that's where it stays. I let Disney do the driving for us.

The only time i may use the bus is to go MK....it much closer to get into MK from bus depot than from the parking lot but yea, other than that...i take car all over..esp when having dining ressies at different resorts--much more convenient to have a car!!

Doesn't matter at all. The parking lots are close to each resort. We used to drive, but since our kids are adults, they aren't going and the wife and I can let Disney drive us around.

That is good to know and from looking at CBR map, that seem to be the case that every building cluster has own parking lots.

Last year, staying at Pop...it was a long walk from parking lot to the 60's building since there were no parking lots to close to that building, which gets pretty exhausting after a long day at the parks! :crutches:

Found this picture from the deli:

Thanks for all the wonderful information! It's helped me to plan a little secret trip - more on this later, of course! And, of course, I'm sure I'll have more questions, as our last venture was 6/14 staying at POR.

We are off to CBR next year for our 3rd visit to WDW it is for our DS 18th (HONEST;-)):teeth: Can't wait, though I am worried about its size so hoping for a room in Jamaica as really fancy the morning walk across the bridge:rainbow:

I showed my daughter a video of the Murphy bed last night and she is in love! It looks small though, she is only 8 but it still looks questionable.

My 8 year old DD is 55" & did just fine at POR on the pulldown. She should be ok.

Quick question -- We are staying at Pop Century prior to our package at CBR and I didn't realize how close the two resorts were to each other. When we drive over to CBR, and if we get the streamlined check in and we go straight to our room, will we have any trouble finding the correct village? In other words, are they well marked?

They are very well marked on signs telling which direction to go for what islands and once you get to the lot for each island you can see a sign as well. Also, at the gate I am sure they will direct you. You won't have any trouble at all

They are very well marked. Should be no problem. I mean, if I can figure it out, then you should have no problem. 8-)
