In a continuation of “YMMV” with parking operations at any given resort on any given Disney day and why it’s always challenging to speak in absolutes on the topic, the other day they were giving paper slips noting “three hour parking” to dining guests. I hadn’t seen paper slips in quite awhile. But I guess they’re opting to use them during this peak holiday period and/or peak nights.

Did you happen to notice if the work on the leisure pool in the BWI Courtyard is complete?

What is to stop someone from just throwing that in the glove box the moment they're out of sight of the gate?

Nothing. That is exactly what we did. Not because we were trying to game the system, but because we arrived at 10:45am for a 11:15am lunch reservation, but the slip they said identified the meal period as "Breakfast". So we were concerned they might assume we overstayed the three hours.

Nothing and what's to prevent them from towing your vehicle?

Unless they start putting actual arrival times on the slips, I don't know how they actually know the vehicle has been there past the three hour time limit. I am also not sure how they differentiate the cars there for ADRs from those of guests. I doubt they are pulling video from the security gate to verify each vehicle.

Well, I did not walk over, prior to your question, however - we decided to walk over to the hot tub, so I can do some recon work for you.

I brought more “coffee” with me.




I do not see any work going on at this time, at or around the pool area.

Awe I can’t believe I’m not there this year! I’ve been at WDW the last 5/6 NYE weeks.

Dd, disl and the 2 doodles left this weekend. So Christmas is over and my kids moved to their new home after 6 months living here!

A lil bit of depression going on Just so much all at once.

At least I had the distraction of deep cleaning to keep me distracted right?

A poolside beverage just looks so nice ! Wish I was there !!!

Was it 3 years ago now that we shared a green champagne toast on the boardwalk for New Year’s?! Feels so long ago! You have exciting things happening in the new year!! Hopefully one of our future trips in the new year we will get to meet up again!

Sorry the kids moved out, but congrats to them on their new home. Will they still be close?
I think a nice Tower Club or RPC trip in February would be a very nice distraction.
To stay on topic, we have BWI booked for the end of October but will probably change to November or early December if we can get a BB for a deluxe room or cottage. Right now neither one is available only standard rooms.
