Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Staying during Marathon Weekend in a Garden View room...
It depends on where your Garden room is located.

As long as your are not in the small section overlooking the Village Green (Crescent lake side of the buildings) that overlook the stairs from the lobby. If you are in the Inn Courtyard then it can be almost too quite that early in the morning.

You are much more likely to hear noise in the hallway or from the next door room vs the runners out on the boardwalk.

Oh yes you are right and DH did get a refill when we were at the pool. While in the room, though, he usually went out to the boardwalk bakery. It would be nice if there was a refill place inside the lobby area somewhere.....not sure where they'd put it though. It would just be more convenient than heading outside. However, we really enjoyed all of the food options on the boardwalk and grabbed a snack almost every night!
Not much of a breakfast person aside from the great one I had from the Wave at the Contemporary...those grits...but the butter butter sandwich at Boardwalk Bakery was pretty tasty while waiting for the friendship boats when we were too lazy...or hungover...to walk to Hollywood.

TJA, Thank you for your report on your recent stay at BWI. You described your room as:
Room 3323. Standing-only balcony. 2 Queens and Daybed.
Standing only balcony? Is that what it sounds like? I have never heard of that I am quite looking forward to sitting on my balcony with a cold beverage after a day at the parks and definitely would need to avoid that situation.

Well it wasn't a full balcony and didn't have any chairs on it. If you look at my pic of the straight-ahead view, you can see the balcony railing on the right and I believe the railing on the left is just beyond the open door. Sorry I didn't get a better pic! I'll see if I can find any pics of the outside building which will better show the balcony sizes.

JTA, Thanks again! I was so concerned about this that I called BWI Guest Services last night. I spoke to a wonderful CM and he added a request for a "full balcony" to my reservation. With expected October crowds, paying full deluxe prices, and my DD moving out of state, she and I are taking a leisurely approach with quality time together for this upcoming trip to WDW. BWI seems like the perfect resort for this!

Good evening fellow BW fans and happy Labor Day weekend...

@TJA thanks for the detailed trip report..enjoyed reading it...::yes::..and for the terrific pictures..which were even posted in the right direction!! Lol..I'm impressed!
..but I swear I saw the Leaping Horse Libations guys filling up the resort cups with soda/water, etc from the bar.
You can get refills here...and not sure about now...but pre pandemic you could also get revills in the morning and evening at Bellevue Lounge..just not mid day as the lounge isn't open between 11am and 5pm..
I know it isn't open right now but it would be nice if you could do it at the Belle Vue Lounge.
It is open..finall reopened mid July..:thumbsup2:drinking1

We did mobile ordering twice during our trip from the BW bakery..and had that breakfast sandwich both times...so delicious..and plentiful too....DD and I shared both times..
I've heard the Belle Vue Lounge is now open.
It reopened mid July..in it's designated space..for a few weeks prior it was set up in a temporary spot in the BW lobby..which was the former concierge desk...

There are very few of those I think they're called "juliette" balconies... at the BWI...so I think it's really not likely that you will get a roon with one...but just to be sure..you might want to list full balcony as a room request..we are balcony sitters too..so completely understand...I'll try and find some pictures of the grounds so you can get and idea of where those balconies are..
...especially since I'm home now after 3 days in the hospital!
@kimmar067 sorry to hear that you were in the hospital..hope that all is well..

Have been doing some (more..:wizard: )Disney planning here..and sadly since we needed to cancel our Sept/October be at WDW for the actual 50th anniversary trip..we were able to re book for late fall..BWI/GF stay...was surprisingly easy to get most of the dining we wanted..now waiting on Flying Fish!!

I tried to post a few more pics of the grounds..but I'm getting a file too large message...:headache:....
As you can see..there are a few of those juliette balconies around...but mostly full sized...

Thank you for the BWI grounds/balcony pictures. I can't wait to stay here and sure hope we get that full balcony to enjoy the views.

Do all standard club level rooms at BWI have balconies? Thank you! We’re booked for November and cannot wait!

I had to get to the ER with a dangerously low platelet count...I'm better but I have to see the hemotologist this week....it was very scary! Kinda covid-related...I already have an autoimmune disease, so the vaccine activated my antibodies to attack my platelets...suppose to have 150,000 to 250,000...I had 4000!
