Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

I watched some boardwalk tour videos and one was a month ago.
I saw this really nice t shirt i would love to have when I go, but it looked to be DVC only.....
Are there Boardwalk shirts for non DVC?

Anyone stay at BWV lately and sleep on the pull out bed? Not the little Dumbo one. lol If so, was it tolerable? Never mind

I stayed at AKL in a club level access room this weekend. We found Lorenzo from the club level lounge! I hadn’t had the chance to talk with him previously. No wonder so many love him, so nice!

FYIi posted pix on cl thread. There were cl cms from several resorts working the opening. They all did say they hope to move to their home resort but did not know at this time if that would happen.

GREAT NEWS!

"RUMOR: Flying Fish at Disney's Boardwalk expected to reopen in September
Guests looking for sustainable seafood and prime steaks may soon be able to once again dine at Flying Fish. The restaurant, located at Disney's Boardwalk is rumored to open in September. Flying Fish features an open kitchen, allowing guests to watch chefs prepare dishes like Hokkaido scallops, Sardinian seafood pasta, and char-crusted New York strip. Although the restaurant has been closed since March 2020, a menu is still available online."

A month too late for me....next time I guess. Ate most of my meals at Yorkshire anyway when I didn't have an ADR earlier this month...lol...walked 3 orders from the UK to the Boardwalk and managed not to drop them once.

We will be staying in a Boardwalk Standard Studio in October. Do you all have any suggestions for a room request? Also, where do you refill mugs? I assume the refillable mugs are still a thing?! It's been a few years for us!

I am sure there are bad/not great locations at the BWV but we've never felt any of our rooms were a poor location. For us, we like being near the lobby and don't really care about our views since we're not in our room that much. We've really liked where we were on our last trip, room 2060, it was a studio standard view room but it was a direct view of the pool and it was a quick walk to the lobby since it was the same floor. We also found it was convenient to get out to the boardwalk and to Epcot/DHS and to the buses.

The Boardwalk Bakery would be the spot to refill your mugs, very convenient and right around the backside of the hotel.

LOVE LOVE LOVE all these pictures ❣❣❣
Many thanks for posting them!!!

I‘m so excited as I was able to book the SONORA SUITE for 5 nights during the end of the F&G FESTIVAL next May🥰😍💗
One of the suites we’ve haven’t stayed in and the BWI CL is one of our favorites!

You are lucky I never see that suite come up in a search.

Hear! Hear! 👍🏼🥰💗❣️

Prior to the pandemic changes to the reservation system none of the Suites were available online.

The only option was to call-in to reservations. I would expect them to all disappear next time the suite category is updated as CL services are restarted at the individual resorts.

Note: The Sonora Suite is also know as the VP suite in the Inn Keeper's Club at the BWI. It is located in the last block of Boardwalk view CL rooms near the ESPN Zone section of the Inn.
