I can't wait for September! Adding the purple Ariel shirt and a paint brush pen to my shopping list!:cool1:

I can't wait - DH has a conference at the Grand Floridian and June, and we decided to extend it to be a family vacation - with 5 nights at AoA!! We are moving there from GF on June 22nd for 5 nights and staying in the Cars family suites....I'm thinking we might even be the first guests EVER in our room (Cars opens June 18).

I am just super excited! I promise to return with a million pics. Make a list of what you want pics of!

OOH Becky! So exciting about your trip! Will you please take pics of the pools and arcade?? And the food court!

I can't wait to hear how the suites are too. We won't be staying in Cars, but I know they'll be the same set up, just different themes.

:)

Why are so many people disappointed about the cost of AoA? Are the AS suites a lot cheaper? Yes, the Mods may cost less, but you aren't getting an apartment at any of the mods; maybe that will come along next. Also, It seems that the AoA has some more amenities than the other values with the recreation areas (I'm just glad that it has the LM section though, because to be hones, if it didn'tI wouldn't be able to stay there. I couldn't afford it, plus we just don't need something the size of a suite). :confused3

YES! $50/night cheaper. That's why some are disappointed - because a zero entry pool and an upgraded food court doesn't feel worth a $400 price difference for a week's stay.

Oh, okay. Yeah, in today's economy, $400.00 can be a small fortune for a family. It can also make the difference as to whether or not someone can actually go. It might not sound like a lot, but in the real world, it can be a huge amount to some people.

I just checked 6 nights 8/1 to 8/7 and I could book a suite at AoA for $2,225 OR I could get a discount at BWI and get a room for $1,925. Our family of 5 fits fine in a BWI room with 2 queen beds and a daybed. I can't see myself paying more for a suite at AoA and giving up the great location of a resort I can walk to two parks from. We stayed at a family suite at ASMu once and really loved the layout but I also really love the convenience of the Epcot area resorts. We won't likely stay at AoA until/unless they discount the rooms.

I don't have to worry about any of that this summer as we are going to DL for the first time ever.

I know for us it added a lot to do a split stay between POR and AoA instead of just stay at POR the whole time but since we haven't been to WDW in 12 years its worth the extra to have an amazing vacay. Wow longest sentence ever.

As long as you don't need the extra room, bath or kitchen, I can see why you made your choice. I'd like to stay at one of the EPCOT resorts someday, too. Have a wonderful time at DLR. That's another place I'd love to visit eventually! :thumbsup2

Twelve years is a too long a time between trips. I hope you have the best time ever...filled with magic and pixie dust! pixiedust:

It is official! Flights are booked so there is no backing out now. We are staying in a Nemo Suite from Aug 19-26. I am very excited and look forward to all the pictures from people going the next 3 months. I can't believe I waited almost 20 years (it is all my parents fault) to come back to WDW and now get to stay onsite... in a new resort at that! Even in my DL and DLP trips I didn't stay onsite as we always rented condos or apartments. So very excited!

:lovestruc

I can't wait for opening reviews of AOA Resort & the food court!!! Please report if you have a trip planned for May opening!:woohoo:

We added 2 nights to our trip so our little princesses could experience the Little Mermaid rooms...she is their favorite!!! We are keeping this part of our stay a secret until we arrive. Can't wait to see their little faces light up!;)

If you are into Christmas decor, you are going to LOVE it! We could have spent every night at the Osbourne Family Lights in HS. The snowp was truly magical. Santa on Main St. was amazing and actually spent a good deal of time with my quasi-adult daughters, which I thought was very sweet. I know this isn't a Christmas thread, but I could go on and on. So excited for you!!!!!

Here are some pictures a girl from my agency took this week. She had computer troubles and connecting to the internet so she just took pictures of the computer screen with her phone till she gets home.

Nice pics! I can see in the one the whole are - the living room space, the master & the pull-down bed. I hadn't seen a pic before that showed where they all were in relation to one another. It's nice that it looks lke there are 3 separate sleeping areas that aren't right on top of each other (as in just a nightstand between them).
