Disney's Art of Animation Resort hotel

I doubt it. Though I also would have to wonder why Pop guests would even want to use the other two pools. As far as I can tell, they'll be no more special then the pools at Pop.

I think you're right, the actual pools in the Cars and Little Mermaid sections don't look to be all that different, but I think there's going to be interest because of the theming.

At Pop your themed pools have been around awhile, and they are about:

bowling
a computer
being hippy dippy

At AoA your themed pools are about Disney, the place you are visiting and are likely a big fan of. If you are a Cars movie fan, the only theme park attraction available in Florida is a McQueen and Mater meet and greet -- that fan staying at Pop Century probably would want to see and swim in a re-creation of Radiator Springs.

So you have the Murphy bed where the table is at and then you have the sofa bed in the living room area, but what about the actual room, do you get a king size only or you have an option of two queen beds? Thank you.

I know I do! :thumbsup2

But then, I am staying there so...

I think it's one queen size bed only in the master bedroom. I don't think it's a king size.

Thank you. I was hoping they would have two queens. It will sleep 6 people very comfortably. 4 in the room and 2 outside (Murphy and the sofa bed). I'm wondering just how comfortable the Murphy bed and their sofa bed.

The photos of this resort are amazing. Disney really went all out on this one. I know it is a value resort, but in many ways this resort can give some of the deluxes a run for their money. The theming is awesome, zero entry pool with splash area, interior corridors, the nice bathrooms, the relaxing ambiance of the food court, etc. I know it is pricey for the value resort category, but I have to say I am really impressed. I still prefer the layout/sleeping arrangement options in the AS Music family suite since they give you two single twin size pull out beds and a full size pull out bed in the living room; but I think my kids might just have to accept that part of it and happily share the two full size pull out beds in the AOA suite . I can't wait to hear the reviews and feedback about this resort once people start staying there.

The kitchenette has a microwave and a fridge. No toaster, is that correct?

Just trying to plan what we might bring or order for mornings and/ or snacks.

I agree, I loved that none of us had to share a bed at ASMU. But i guess we'll have to suck it up and make the kids share a bed at AoA. :thumbsup2

All the pics look great... I'm just a little bummed that all the LM rooms are so far from the main building. I guess I'll just visit AoA and not stay there... :(

Sorry you are bummed, but think of it this way...

With all of the miles you will walk when touring the parks, what is another few hundred feet a day? I don't think it will be that far of a walk. Very comparable to the walk from some of the further buildings at POP. I can't imagine it would add more than a few minutes round trip to and from the main building. :goodvibes

This is exactly how I feel about it! We were going to stay at POP and had requested to be in either building 4 or 5 to be closer to the main building, but there is no guarantee that we wouldn't be in the furthest away building instead. I will gladly walk the extra little bit and enjoy everything there is to see on the way!!

Any info on whether they will have an ice cream shop like POP? I know they will have gelato, but I am wanting brownie sundaes. It might be the deciding factor on whether or not we stay there.

I was looking at this picture and I'm not sure if there will be an ice cream shop but I see what looks like 12 places to put ice cream and if you look on the menu broad it looks like a milkshake or smoothe. I'm not sure if this is where the gelato will be.
Here is the link to enlarge the picture and look at it.

I'm waiting for word on this as well. POP's sundaes are the best. We've already switched to AoA but we'll definitely be walking the bridge to POP to get our fix.

You will now need your Pop KTTW card to access the Pop ice cream queue if you cross the bridge looking for that brownie sundae. ;)

Sarcasm? :confused3 Nothing wrong with eating at other resorts.

Very cool! I keep feeling tempted to move to Nemo, hope to see more LM stuff soon as there is just my husband and I!

With it sleeping six - I wonder what ages those 6 are - meaning will the murphy bed only sleep small children or can teens/adults be comfortable on it? I am assuming that the sofa bed is the same size a double.
