Is it lame that this makes me sooo happy! Haha!

What dates do the first guests check in? Just curious as to when we will have DEFINITE confirmation if the pool is in fact key entry only. There's no way to have the resorts connected by the bridge and have one resort with key only entrance to the pool (and just one pool at that), and have Pop's pools able to be accessible by AOA guests. You would have people complaining up a storm about why AOA's guests aren't kept out of Pop's pools but Pop guests are kept out of AOA's main pool. I want definite confirmation.

Well the resorts were supposed to be sister resorts, so that is probably why they didn't install fences around Pop's pools. I can understand why they would put a fence around the new Nemo pool as it is the biggest pool on WDW property (besides the water parks) and has the zero entry. And since you walk over the bridge from Pop and the pool is right there.

My guess is the Nemo pool will be the only one with a key entry due to its location.

I know it sucks, but I don't think the people at AoA will be going over to Pop to pool hop as there are 3 pools at AoA. And if they do, they probably pool hop at other resorts as well (rule breakers:))

The first section opens May 31. If you look at the pics of the pool, you can clearly see the gates and what appears to be a lock for some type of key card. It has also been reported by several people who have been given private tours of the resort that the pool will be accessed by keys.

The bridge may or may not stay, but I think they will keep it as long as it doesn't become an overcrowding issue at the food courts. I don't think people staying at AoA will want to go to POP's pools. I can't imagine why someone would leave a pool as gorgeous as the Big Blue to get sprinkled on by a few flowers at POP. :rotfl:

Is there a reason that she wants to wait until June to make the reservations? I would worry a little since it's new and all the buildings aren't open so maybe it will be full:)
Money! She's already certain she wants to go. I'll ask her about how to go about paying for it, like putting down a deposit and such. If I tell her about how popular AoA seems to be, she might do it sooner. ETA: Just called her and told her how cheap deposits are (assuming the internets are right), and she was surprised and said she'll make a reservation this weekend. :D *happy dance*

I love looking at all the new pictures and videos. Looks like I'll really enjoy myself here. :)

I was wondering how long the Magic Express will take from the airport. I would assume the time would be similar to Pop Century, but I don't know how long that is either.

really liking these photos makes me wonder if they will remodel/update pop one day to some other movies and make the whole resort art of animation kinda like they did at port orleans

Oh sure the new resort gets its own resort-specific merchandise!

I'm losing it. I was so excited when I saw this photo! :woohoo: I felt the need to go Shopping!!! I have so much fun buying gifts for family members while I'm there and this trip I can Christmas shop! :santa:

I just wanted to bump this one..

Good Idea, Fantasia. Every once in a while it's good to have the map to refer to.

I'm not trying to be a smart alec, but somehow I don't think that Disney is worried about guests leaving AoA to swim at Pop. Pop is a great and fun place, but most people going to AoA are going with the idea of having an exciting new resort experience. Why would they then go to another resort's pools to swim? You're probably correct that some guests won't like it, but I really don't think Disney is too worried about it.

I hope they keep the bridge; it's a very pretty structure and makes for nice photo ops. If the AoA pool is gated there should be no reason why the bridge can't remain in place. As for wanting the 'sprinkling flowers' at Pop? LOL The AoA has sprinkling Jellyfish and I think they're really cute. :woohoo:

BTW, the 360 degree photo of the lobby was very cool, JCARWASH. I love that they made it like an artist's pallet of colors. This entire resort's theme was carried out to the tiniest details and it really pays off. I think it's amazing.

In my OP, Nemo because of the nice big pool, and super close to main building and buses.

Yes, I agree with Tiffany. The Nemo section would be awesome. I don't know if we'll ever need a place for that many guests, but if we do, I'm headed for Nemo and the 'Big Blue'! :woohoo:
