But they know what Herbie is??
IDK, maybe it's because I grew up with it that I feel differently. A pro hockey team was named after them as well so it just seems odd to me that people don't know it.
Now, as for Candleshoe, I have no clue what you're even talking about.![]()
I guess it's just a difference of opinion. Growing up, I loved the Mighty Ducks, The Sandlot, Little Giants (though this was not a Disney film) and find it hard to believe people don't know what they are. I understand Herbie is an icon but if I asked my 5 year old nephew who Herbie is, he'd have no clue. He knows the Mighty Ducks because of the cartoon spin off. I'll always crack Flying V and Oreo Line references when watching a hockey game because of MD. lol

I would have to say you are not the norm. I have seen Mightly Ducks....a VERY long time ago, as it is old..and though it was OK, it wasn't good, nor was it a classic like many other Disney films. Movies should've went with all cartoons in my opinion. Those are the ones that last forever. Or maybe something like Mary Poppins. She still meets in the parks and is very popular. You don't see a single reference to a Mighty Duck character there. LOL!
I never understood why people would pay more money for preferred rooms. It's not like they're bigger, just a shorter walk to the main building. If someone in your party is handicapped, it makes sense. But other than that, it's extra money for no extra perk besides being closer and those resorts aren't that big to begin with!
It would be more well suited to the Sports resort, I do agree with that statement.

I'd pay extra just to be in a building that is not Mighty Ducks!!!!![]()

Why not just revamp all-star movies, then, if the decor and theming feels outdated? The all-stars have felt tired for a *while*.
I feel like AOA is such a waste. The turn of the last century has always been fascinating to me and I was so exicted for the rest of the resort to be finished. Oh well. I suppose I'm in the minority, here.![]()
I agree with you. They needed more suites for larger family groups, but it sounds more like an addition to the All Star Movies to me, than a sister resort to Pop Century. Glad to see something done with the property though, but I can only imagine what the 1920's section would be like. The roaring 20's theme seemed interesting to me. Oh Well. Then I'm in the minority with you. I'm happy that they're finally doing something with it, as it was untouched for a long time, but I'd much rather them finish through with the original idea. They already have a Movies resort. This is more of the same, the only difference is that there will be suites at AoA.
