Hi everyone. We have gotten such great tips from this thread so thank you everybody. We are super excited about our trip. We will arrive at AKV Jambo house on May 30 for 4 nights and then we will stay 3 nights off site at a pool home. This will be our first stay at AK and we can't wait!!!

We took my sister and her family in October 2014 and stayed in a 2BR at Kidani. Since we burned through most of our points on that trip, we are going to be "slumming it" in a studio at Jambo House in 2015. We bought DVC in 2008 and we've never stayed more than 2 nights in a studio...we much prefer the 1BR's. The kids wanted to do the Expedition Everest Challenge so we decided to squeeze in a trip this year instead of bank them for our family reunion trip in 2016. Thus, we must "suffer" with a studio.

Just back from a stay at Kadani. We had previously stayed at Jambo. Much, Much preferred Jambo. We had four studios Arusha view, but we were very far from the lobby, even though that was our main request. Also, not sure if it was the weather, but the animals were not seeable very much. It was a long walk to the pool and then a long walk the opposite way to go to Mara at Jambo. Bus transportation wasn't to bad. For the future I would defintely stay at Jambo, but don't think I would stay at Kadani again.

Just back from a stay at Kadani. We had previously stayed at Jambo. Much, Much preferred Jambo. ??? Kidani doesn't have any Arusha views villas, was your Kidani villa view Sunset or Pembe Savanna and your prior view when you stayed at Jambo Arusha Savanna?
I prefer Jambo's majestic lobby, unique gift shop and easy access to Mara as well. I haven't stayed at Kidani yet, but I've read the 1& 2 bedroom villas there w/ the extra bathrooms are very nice, the splash area is excellent and of course being the first bus stop going to/from the parks is a plus.
