Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

If you are only staying one night at sports before you relocate to the hotel for your package stay , it should be fine for one night

I almost hate to ask this, but I'm going to anyway.

We were hoping to stay at Sports the night before our package starts in June. It is the only value we haven't stayed at except AoA (no desire to stay there). I looked at the WWOS calendar, and there is an AAU basketball tournament starting that weekend (June 4/5). How much would that affect our stay? Are they loud and awful? It looks like middle school boys, and having 15 and almost 13-yo sons, well.... I doubt we use the food court for dinner, and I know we won't be there for breakfast. I'm mostly concerned about the pool being overrun in the evening and the kind of noise you get from unsupervised kids running around when we're ready to go to bed. My kids have asked to stay at Sports that night.

We have stayed at Pop, Movies and Music, but never run into any large groups of kids. Thanks for any input!

I wouldn't worry too much about the AAU teams, but the 15s start coming in June(more and more as June progresses.)

I am not finding the AAU on the schedule now, but I swear it was there on Thursday when I looked. We are looking at Sports for June 4, and will be at CSR until the 10th. The 15s would almost be enough to convince me to cancel my trip altogether, haha. Hopefully, they wait until we are on our way home.

We are coming for a Baseball tournament May 27-30th and some people will still be there on June 4th ones who are staying the week after. I know for the younger baseball groups anyways most everyone is going to have parents there. The baseball groups just go up to 14u. I think others are 8u, 10u, 11u, and 12u. I would say at least all of the 4 younger groups will have a parent to ever 1 or two kids. Also the AAU teams aren't required to stay at disney's resorts like the ones who come for disney baseball and soccer tournaments so a lot will be off site.

This is helpful, thank you. I thought it was basketball, but it may have been baseball. It sounds like the kids will be well supervised. I hope you have a great time!

We've seen a few cheer or dance teams around, but it has been totally fine.

The week is very young my friend.;):)

This was Thursday around 5:30pm. Wall to wall cheerleaders. On the field, in line at the restaurant, eating in the restaurant, in the bathrooms changing clothes and brushing their teeth, in the pool....everywhere! Boom boxes full blast. I was waiting for my Magical Express bus. I hate leaving Disney but, I was glad to be leaving this. On the other hand, if my DS14 would have been with me he would have been in heaven here! ;)

OMG I hope they are gone by the time we get there. I'm all for sports as my kids play many things, but not sure I could handle that much noise, lol

The Star Wars fireworks ROCK All-Star Sports!

We're way back in Center Court and the Finale almost "shakes" the room.:)
How did you like the Center Court Building? We are booked for November and would like a quiet area nor far from the food court and bus stop and NOT facing a pool. We stayed at Sports in 2009, Home Run Building facing the "quiet pool"; it wasn't quiet!

I loved Center Court.

The rooms on the "back side" of Center Court are among the "quietest" at Sports.

It is a little bit of a walk, but not bad to End Zone Food Court.

The closest standard rooms to the food court and bus stops that are relatively quiet would be Touchdown!,Building 10,side OPPOSITE of the Football Field.:)

Isn't it a sight to see?

It has to be seen in person to understand how BIG it is!:)

This weekend every year the Football Field at All-Star Sports is known to teen aged boys as The Most Magical Place On Earth!!!!:)

After going back and forth with decisions, and booking Pop Century instead, with free QSDP coming out today and the particular room we had booked at Pop wasn't offered, we're back booked at All Star Sports 8/23 - 9/1 in the roll in shower room. With annual passes, for us it's just basically pre purchasing our tickets for next spring break and getting our dining for free!

I decided to book a rental car as well, so we can run out to the store if we want to. With a bit of a longer stay, I feel like I need some freedom.

I'm so excited that it includes a visit to Disneyquest as well as a round of mini golf for each of us as well! Plus new mugs. We barely used them last time we got them, but they are cute! We're not much of soda drinkers, so mostly got iced tea and lemonade with them.

Less than 2 weeks now! It's coming up fast and we're so excited! One of the chefs at All Star Sports was kind enough to reach out to me when I sent in my Allergy Request form to Special Diets and he's going to make sure my DS has safe French fries and dessert while we are there. He's so excited because both of those things have been hard to come by on past trips.

We went ahead and paid off our room and have started the packing process. Not much else to do but pass the time. Can't wait!!

We are officially booked at All Star Sports, this will be my first time to stay there. I'm thinking my DS11 will love it! Only 235 days to go!!! :cheer2:

it took 20% off my room rate.
i had a reservation holding online but waited until today to submit it.

We are booked for our first time at ASsp. So excited to be staying on property for our trip!!

I am thinking of trying to request a room on the back side of building 10 ground floor to be closer to the bus stop and main building. How noisy is that area?

Wanting to save my feet some steps at the end of the day.
