Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

A little End Zone news.

EVERYTHING is shutting down at 11:00 PM(except Pizza delivery).

The Grill Shop and Pizza And Pasta Shop are no longer staying open until Midnight.

But on a positive note, the beverage island is now open 24/7.:)

The beverage island being opened 24/7 is awesome! I hate getting back at midnight and not being able to get a drink. Thanks for the info!:drinking1

We are staying here for our first-ever value visit in August. One night only before our DVC week stay, with two teen boys. I booked a preferred room. Now I see there is a soccer event that weekend. Our plan was to enjoy the resort pool and have lunch then head to MK for dinner/night....I'm wondering now if it will be mobbed? Those cheer pics are truly frightening! We are checking in on a Sunday- will be there early- and from what I can tell the soccer event is Frid-Sun.....I want the family to love our stay here, because I'd like to return and save a lot of money for at least a few nights of our future trips ( we always do split stays.) What to do? What to request?? Thank you!

Yes,I was really surprised they had started doing this.

We got back from Magic Kingdom around 1:00 AM one day and it was still open,so the next day I asked one of the End Zone CP CMs if it was now open 24/7 and they confirmed that it was.:)

The Laundry has gone up to $3.00 per washer and dryer-we've got to pay for those nice new machines!:)

Also, there are some cute, little laundry carts for moving loads from washer to dryer.:)

39 Days until we arrive. Excited to hear about the foosball, ping pong, and corn hole at the pool. I know about 11 dads and 13 boys that will be with us that will enjoy playing some corn hole at the pool.

145 long days until I'm back at Sports for the first time in many years :rolleyes1
Actually, time has been going pretty fast. I can't wait! I need some ASSP in my life

Just to add for people doing laundry at all of the resorts... http://classic.laundryview.com/disneyworld/ . I have not had a chance to use this yet (last time I did laundry they did not have this) but, it is awesome! It shows you which machines are open and how much time they have left on each. You can go to the pool or your room and see when you need to get back to your laundry instead of guessing. It also eliminates carting all of your laundry down to the laundry room and finding out that all of the machines are taken!:laundy:

We used it at CBR last year and it was awesome! Loved not having to check on our clothes every so often.

Has anyone here had an Amazon Prime Pantry delivery at this resort? We are skipping a grocery delivery this year but I thought it might be nice to still get a case of water. I'm not sure how far in advance I should order or what the pick up process is once we arrive. We'll be there in just over 3 weeks.

I almost hate to ask this, but I'm going to anyway.

We were hoping to stay at Sports the night before our package starts in June. It is the only value we haven't stayed at except AoA (no desire to stay there). I looked at the WWOS calendar, and there is an AAU basketball tournament starting that weekend (June 4/5). How much would that affect our stay? Are they loud and awful? It looks like middle school boys, and having 15 and almost 13-yo sons, well.... I doubt we use the food court for dinner, and I know we won't be there for breakfast. I'm mostly concerned about the pool being overrun in the evening and the kind of noise you get from unsupervised kids running around when we're ready to go to bed. My kids have asked to stay at Sports that night.

We have stayed at Pop, Movies and Music, but never run into any large groups of kids. Thanks for any input!
