Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

I'll be staying at the All Star Music in November. Can anyone tell me if they have hairdryers in the rooms?

Many thanks.

I am getting antsy for my trip and it is over 4 months away:lmao::lmao:

First time going to Disney is 3 years. Having my knee surgery on the 17th, getting a partial menisectomy. Went to the Dr. this past Monday and he said that the meniscus is like mush in there, all tore up. He is going to trim out the bad stuff. I plan on being up and springing into action soon after that. Now to get my walking in to get ready for Disney because that is all you do there: is walk for miles...

Good luck with your surgery. I blew out the inside of my knee some time ago, had surgery and its good as new. Hope you have the same results pixiedust:

I'm sorry, I thought this was an All Star thread, but now I see its just for the Sports. Edit-I can't find a thread just for the Music, so perhaps someone knows my answer here :)

Thank you. This has been a long time coming and I am happy just to be able to get my quality of life back. I have struggled since last November with this injury at the gym. I switched knee dr's recently because the old one didnt want to do anything about it and chalked it up to arthritis when clearly the MRI was saying something different.

I have a client who will be stay in September for their honeymoon. He will be driving all night so they will arrive around 1am. Will they be able to check in that early in the morning?

if they paid for the room that included the prior time to midnight, they can checkin.
they should call while on the way to let the hotel know they will have an after midnight check in.

if they have reservations starting with the day they arrive, after midnight, i'm guessing they could check in around 6:00 am.
rooms usually reset in the system around that time, or maybe an hour later.

if there was an empty room the night prior, they would have a room to go to.
otherwise, they will check in and wait for an available room that day.
check in states 4:00 but if a room has been released, check in will be much earlier.

i had a torn meniscus, did the surgery and had a longer recovery than most.

just depends on how extensive your repair will be on getting back to normal.

sending pixie dust that you will be back on your feet and recoverd in record time!

Macraven: no repair. He is going in and trimming out the bad parts. Easier recovery and I will be able to walk out of the surgery center on my own. I cant wait to get this done. Imagine someone actually wanting surgery. I am going to push my physical therapy pretty hard and fast as I know what to expect.

that is great news!
you will be walking out and doing fine with just repair work.

i missed reading your post.

when i was at Sports in january, there were no papers on the table for the bounce back.
there was an informational leaflet though.

looking thru it it had a statement that you could book the bounce back by dialing the number from your room only.

it was valid for pretty much of this year.

i did a room only in january but a package for the coming up trip.
free dining.

since i go and stay at Sports regularly, i usually do not look thru the advertisements they have on the table.
this time i did and did note the bb offer.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to be hoping for a bounceback for April!

Fancy Nancy: do you always go in the summertime? We used to go in the end of September and even then the heat killed me. I am a yankee and our summers up here kill me.:worship::worship:

No mam! I go at all different times. I've been in January, March, April, and July (not in that order). This coming trip will be my first August though. I enjoy April the most. The Flower and Garden Festival is so much fun!

I have decided to stick with the value resorts so I can go twice a year. My DM usually travels with me DD and I so splitting the cost of the room ends up working out nicely. Next year we are doing April for F&G and October for MNSSHP and F&W. That's the plan anyways!

I have been the first week of May solo and enjoyed the Flower and Garden and in the fall to enjoy the Food and Wine. This year I am going to miss going to any festival. I will see if the Christmas party is going on but it is so expensive to go to and I have already been once.

I've never been to the Christmas Party. Never been in November or December. How did you like it when you went?

First visit to Sports coming up in Sept. Starting to get excited! Can't wait to try out a new resort.

I hope you like it as much as we do! Let us know if you have any questions.

I have enjoyed a couple of early December trips, one at Sports and on at CSR. At the Sports we were did middle of POP Warner and truthfully the kids didn't bother us at all. You hear horror stories about their behavior but they were nothing but nice and courteous to us.

I love the weather but it can be cold at night. The Christmas party was awesome, especially the parade.

Trying to come up with something extra to do on my November trip. Thinking of booking the AK tour, the one where you go behind the scenes and see how the animals are taken care of. Sounds pretty interesting.
