Does anyone know what time the ASMO gift shop opens/closes?
princess:

I *think* it opens at 9. It closes late, 11:00. (that was the hours in August anyway)

Don't know if this has been asked yet (don't have time at the moment to read all of the posts, trying to finish papers for school), but I was wondering if I requested Toy Story building when I booked my room, is there a good chance I will get it?? I don't want to keep telling my five year old that we will be sleeping in the toy story building and end up in another building.
Another issue is my 10 year old has this fear of clowns and saw a pic of the fanatasia building at night and is now REFUSING to go to disney if we are going to be in that building (can I request that if we can't stay in the toy story to NOT put us in the fanatasia building). Any suggestions would be helpful!!!!

A tip I got on here was to make sure you call 1-2 days before your arrival date. Because they generally do the room assignments 1 to 2 days prior.

We had requested the 101 Dalmations building (a few times actually) When I called 2 days before, they said our rooms had been assigned, but we were in the Toy Story section. I asked them to please put that request in again, and asked if there was any way they could just change it for me. They said they would put the request in. I called the next day, which was one day before our arrival and asked what building we were in, and it was Dalmations! When we arrived, we were indeed in Dalmations, the best room, bottom level, right closest to the food court. It was an awesome location (though a bit noisy).

So it pays to be persistent!
Good luck! :thumbsup2

Thanks I will have to remember that :jumping1:

Please do not promise what you can not deliver. You may get Toy Story. The CMs will do their best. But you may not. A clown fear is a legitimate issue. You can certainly state you do NOT want to stay in Fantasia due to the CREEPY jack-in-the-box since your child is afraid of it. They will do their best to accomodate. If you ask for Toy Story, you will be asking for preferred. The preferred are Toy Story, Fantasia, and 101 Dalmatians. I would definately be specific.

Be sure to check refurbishments. The ASMo feature pool is down right now for major refurbishment.

We are planning All Star Movies for 2007, so I am subscribing so I can go back and read through the 22 pages of Knowledge!

Can someone tell me if there is a 'general rule' about where they put the groups at the ASMo? I am taking a group of middle school students down end of Aug and just curious if there is any ryhme or reason to where they stick large groups. I'm wondering if they like to stick the groups in the back of the Love Bug or Mighty Ducks bldg or if they like to keep those areas quiet and put the large group of kids in the typically noisier areas of the resort. By looking at the map somehow I think I'd prefer a far room at Might Ducks as the pool is right there and we could use the Music bus stop and food court. Wonder if it would be worth making any room requests or even if they would honor them.

We are staying at ASMo March 25th-30th 2007, 75 more days to go
That gives me time too read thru 23 pages here, this is a great thread!!!!

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but can you pool hop at the ASMo. and go over to the ASMu. Stayed there before, but never asked.

I am so glad I read some of these, when we stayed at the ASMo last summer we were lucky enough to get the Toy Story building, did not know it was a preferred section, guess they had just upgraded us! I will know not to ask for it though, it is a great section, but we're not to picky and that extra money can go elsewhere.;)

If I have a guest driving up from tampa for the day to spend with us (not the night) can she get some sort of guest pass so that she can park next to me?

If staying at ASMo you can use the pools at the other All Star Resorts.

The acessible rooms with roll in showers, are they all king size? Are there any roll in shower rooms with two double beds in All Star Movies?

This is our first trip to ASMo our past 3 trips were to POP and I know at POP preferred rooms are the front part of the 60's, 70's, and 50's, so I was wondering is it this way at ASMo also? Or are the entire Toy story, 101 dalmations, and fantasia buildings all preferred?

I have to say that again and again....People like you make this site what it is today. AWSOME!!!!!! Great info. I am glad because thats where I am staying in April...:rotfl:

Just remember to relax and enjoy your holiday. Many people get so wrapped up in the cost, the infinite # of things on their agenda etc... They forget that they are supposed to be on a vacation:confused3
