Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES Resort

We just returned Sunday from 7 nights at All Star Movies. It was our first stay there and we enjoyed it. We stayed in Dalmations (preferred), but next time would ask for Mighty Ducks. It is standard and has a pool at it which we swam in most often. It also was not much further of a walk to the food court (not far by any means) than our Dalmation building. One day we got off the bus at All Star Music (the stop before ours) and walked to our room. We had to walk thru the Mighty Ducks area to get to ours, so it is really close to the Music bus stop. The other standard area is the Herbie area and it was not visible from any of the areas we were in, so it must be further back.

How was the cleanliness of your room. I have read alot of people saying how bad it is. We have 3 weeks until we arrive.

I can't wait to stay in ASMO for next month! I need to know is that ASMO is great hotel for our Family!

We were at ASMO in June. We had two rooms in Toy Story and never had a problem with cleanliness. In fact we had no problems with anything. We would stay at ASMO again anytime. Buses were good as was the food court. We enjoyed the pool and theming is great. We had young kids with us, and I would recommend ASMO to anyone with kids.

jensib! Change Plans because! My sister is sick and we had to cancel the October trip to November! But! In January we are staying in the other hotel for my birthday in January! I hope to forgive me! November is the All-Star movies! I'm sorry!

Wow, I didn't realize you had a Oct. trip planned too. How lucky for you! I'm so jealous. you'll have fun in Niv though too. Anytime at Disney is fun!

Thanks jensib! ASMO is my favorite value resort! This is our first time in ASMO!
Oh! One more thing which rooms in the ASMO is standard room!

Thanks for this thread!

I admit I haven't read all 81 pages so, can anyone tell me the + or - between ASMo and ASMu? :confused3

We were in WDW 2 weeks ago and I remember ONCE noticing at MK that ASMo had it's own bus stop, while the other AS resorts shared one. Does this make a difference? Was I seeing incorrectly? :confused3

Because of our recent trip, we were sent a PIN code that I really WANT to use next year, either March or June! The AS resorts seem to be the only resorts worth the code. I WILL be reading ALL I can about the AS resorts very soon! Thanks again! :thumbsup2

from what ive seen and read on here- movies is soley all disney themed. the building themes are from the disney movies. whereas music has calypso, broadway, jazz etc. so its not all disney themed. dont know if thats a plus or a minus to you or not tho.

for movies at both mk and epcot they have their own bus, but im not sure if sports and music share or if they are individual or not(id presume theyre individual) btu ak and hs all three share the busses there and back. i think the big difference is for mk and epcot they are the busiest parks so they put one per resort on.

double check if you got the pin codes for 30-40 percent off. we just left movies on the 8th and are now looking at wl for 14 days at 40 percent off and with hoppers and meal just over 5000. i know its steep but my ta checked it today and its regularly 4400 a person! so thats our next trip. hopefully!

Thanks Amber, yes we got the 30 for value, 35 for mod and 40 for deluxe but, there didn't seem to be any availability for our dates except at the values. :confused3 Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

no prob! that sucks! i know i second guessed myself yesterday when telling hubby. he was away this weekend when i called about it. but then i thought when are we ever going to get a great price on a deluxe resort like that again? not in our lifetime im sure!

i orgianlly called looking for the cr and all they had was club level for 411 a nite! a little too steep for me. so carl did some digging and came up with wl. i guess everything is booking up fast. the way i see it tho, youre only there to rest your head, as long as its clean what does it matter? we foundit helped that we ordered groceries so we didnt have to fight the crowds in the am at the cafe.

i had never heard of them til i came on here- and im a disney veteran! so i ws so happy when i saw it and decided to order. it ws so much easier to get the ids up, let them eat at their pace, dress them and then go. i'm emailing my ta rite now to put the deposit down on it. can't wait! hubby was finally home long enough to see pics and said book it!

We leave Nov. 7th for our FIRST Disney trip ever!

We have a standard room at ASMo. When can I call and request a room? (Id like to be in the Mighty ducks section....) Is there a time frame that I have to wait before I call and request this room? Our reservations are from 11-8 through 11-14.

Its really best to just have them note it in the comments section of your reservation as well

I faxed room requests one week before we were to arrive and got exactly what I asked for. I was told not to request too early, because it might get lost in the shuffle.

I don't know which is Standard room in All-Star Movies resort! It's The Love Bug and The Mighty Ducks are Standard or Preferred?
