This question was answered quite a few times, most recently last week or so. And I think you've asked this already a month or so ago?

thanks for the info! I booked the ASMO for November 2009! I can't wait to stay in the Love Bug!

I would just like to mention our expirence with room requests on this last trip.

About a month before our trip I called and placed a room request on the reservation. "3rd floor room, preferably in love bug section."

About 2 weeks before I called again to confirm that the request was placed and was correct. It was.

We did the online checkin and arrived around 2pm. It was busy but not packed. At the counter the girl said we had a 1st floor room in love bug. Looking dissapointed I kindly asked if there was anyway we could get a 3rd floor room, as the first floors are a bit noisey for us. She asked us to hang on and got a young man, name the same as my hubbys, and he assigned us a 3rd floor room in Mighty Ducks.

Even though I had wanted the Love Bug room, being on the 3rd floor was more important, and we ended up loving being in the mighty ducks with the pool right there.

The moral of the story, go ahead an put that request in, but remember it is only a request, and if you don't get it, be nice and ask! what they didnt have availible before they might now, the nicer you are the more likely you will get what you want!:thumbsup2

I just wonder how long it takes to take the Disney transportation from ALL Music to Magical Kingdom, or Epcot?:confused3

I just wonder how long it takes to take the Disney transportation from ALL Music to Magical Kingdom, or Epcot?:confused3

The funniest part of the question is that it all depends. On some days it would take about 10-15 minutes to Epcot and maybe 20-25 at most to MK. On other days, during busier times of the day it would take about 25 to Epcot and 30-35 to MK.

You need to consider the time waiting for the bus too. There were a few times the bus was too full and we were stuck waiting another 20 minutes for a second bus to come.

One trick Dh and I used, much easier with just 2 adults, was if we were going to the MK or a Mk resort for an ADR and the MK bus stop was packed at the resort, we would hop on the Epcot bus, seems to come more often due to the shorter loop, and jump on the monorail over to the TTC. I think the time would have been the same, but in the 90 degree heat and sun, Id rather wait on the bus/monorail longer then standing in the hot sun!:cool1:

Thank you, this is my first visit, and everything is new to me, I and wonder how easy is to commute between resort (using resort transportation) for dining purposes?
Do you happen to know how long it takes from airport to the resort using Magic Express?:headache:

They say forty-five minutes, but sometimes the wait at the airport makes it a bit longer!

And Congrats on the first trip! Thats so exciting!

On the transporation board they say to allow a goo 1 1/2 to 2 hours, sometimes longer. We got lucky when we used it and from the time we got off the plane till the time we walked in our room was 1 hour. But it all depends how busy the line is and then how fast your bus leaves and all the stops it makes.

that's awesome! I can't wait to see this hotel in person in November! Oh! jenseib does the All-Star Movies puts up the decorations for christmas let?

Good morning Disers!
Could someone please help me out? I am booking a preferred room, but I'm not sure where exactly to request it be. Could you recommend what building etc. would be best for what I'm looking for? We are going at the beginning of May.
We have 2 kids, 8 and 10, and noise doesn't normally bother us. Since we are coming from Canada, and our winter will just be on the melt when we go to Disney (First trip:woohoo:) I would really like a room that both over looks the pool area, and hopefully some tropical landscaping. (We want something a wee bit more exotic than what we're used to here in Canada) Is it possible to be in the Toy Story area and still have a pool view or would one need to be in Fantasia? I find looking at the map of the resort I'm having a hard time gauging distance. It all looks huge and well spaced out, but maybe it's closer than it appears in the drawing. So, for those of you that have been to the All-Star movies and know it like the back of your hand, which building or area should I be requesting? Thank-you.

take the fantasia in the All-Star Movies! It's closer to the lobby! I hope to get the love bug for our family! I booked the Standard room in the All-Star movies!

hey from ns! either of the fantasia buildings face the pool. altho you could get stuck facing the trees like we did this month. didnt matter, we always saw lots of critters!

ts doesnt face the pools, merely the andys room spot and buzz and woody. and i believe the other views would be parking lots and trees.

mighty ducks over looks the md pool.

101 dalamtions face each other. i think if you were to request the end corners closest to the md pool, you'd be able to see it. herbie is at the back so im not sure if you can see the fantasia pool of not. it is a walk from the pool.
hope this helps a little! and enjoy your stay!

We found that using Disney transportation to get between resorts for dining was difficult. No bus goes from the ASMO to any other resort other than the other All Stars. You must go from the resort to the ticket and transportation center, one of the parks or Downtown Disney and then transfer to the appropriate resort for dinner. This is very time consuming. We drove to the resorts where we ate. There are taxi's at the resort, but that can be expensive. Hope this helps.

I think that is pretty well known around here, no offense. I think when booking dining ressies, they say to allow up to 1 hr and 45 mins for travel! While a LONG time, this MIGHT SOMETIMES be the norm. Plus, you have to add in the expected 15-30 min early arrival! I know, this is insane, but what can you do? :confused3 Some of those ADRs are Well Worth It tho! :thumbsup2

Jeanylaser, I hope you get the perfect room in the love bug section, enjoy your trip!

Amberg, that's for the info, it helps put things into a better perspective for me.
I'm a bit torn, I think my kids would go ape for the pool/tropical trees view, but my husband wants Toy Story. :lmao: Thankfully I've still got plenty of time to mull this one over, unlike my park plans and dinner reservations which I need to pull from the air and get down on paper over the next few days. Vacation planning comes so easily to some, boy I wish I were one of 'em!
Thanks again!

(P.S. I'm waving at ya from NB)
